Revlon Colorsilk Hair Color 33 Dark Soft Brown

I recently tried the Revlon Colorsilk Buttercream Hair Color and I'm really impressed! It's a really high-quality hair color that does a fantastic job of coloring my hair and leaving it looking shiny and healthy. It has a really nice texture that's not too thick or thin, so it feels really comfortable on my hair. It also has a really nice scent that's fresh and clean. It's really easy to use - I just follow the instructions and apply it to my hair, and it does a great job giving me a beautiful color. It's really long-lasting, so it lasts for a long time without fading or washing out. Overall, I think this is a fantastic hair color that's definitely worth trying out if you're looking for a high-quality option that will give you beautiful, healthy-looking hair.

Beautiful color, shine, and conditioner is great!

Let me start by saying this color is very unique and beautiful, despite the neutral color you find on the box. I knocked off one star because of the fact that this barrrrreeeelyyyy covered my hair and my hair is thin and not even really far past my armpit. I managed, and when I looked at it before rinsing, I thought omg this is gonna be black, a dull fake looking black. BOY was I wrong! So then I rinsed it out, I saw bright PURPLE. Covers grey well.

Review is of shade 60 Dark Ash Blonde used on salt-and-pepper medium brown hair. I used other brands that cost 2-3 times more and was dissatisfied with brassy fading, but most of all poor grey coverage, even when I left the products on my hair for an extra 5-10 minutes. Leaving the Revlon color on for only the recommended 35 minutes for stubborn greys works wonderfully. Since I leave it on longer the color is closer to light ash brown but that is what I am going for. Unlike other dark ash blonde brands I've tried Revlon ColorSilk does not quickly fade to a brassy reddish shade, but stays truer to the original color. Great Quality for the money!

I have always used Revlon color silk and in comparison to the other dyes and what you pay for them, I find that Revlon color silk is an excellent choice. This color comes out very natural on me. I fluctuated with different colors but this is one of my favorites. 40/41 And not even the hairdressers knew I dyed it until they would see my gray roots.Revlon quit messing with it quit changing it. You should leave it as it was. Although I still believe it is a good quality for the money the formulas were so much better before. But somebody decided to change it and there’s not as good men that before I left my hair really soft and beautiful not dry; As it might a little bit now. But nevertheless the quality is great versus the price don’t let them change you.

Mushroom Blonde- don't do it!

I have used Revoln Colorsilk on and off for many years. I don't think it's "the best" as far as giving you natural highlights like most hair colors do. However I do think it has always been good about giving even color and not drying out your hair! Yay.So I let my hair grow out completely to it's light natural brown with gray- just stopped coloring my hair. Thought I could get away with that. Was LQQKING pretty dingy I might say.So I saw this new color---'Mushroom Blonde' and could not resist! It looked like a different variation of what I had online. And of course it will cover my grays! Yay again!I was excited even left it on an extra 10 min to make sure to cover the grays like it said. Well now I have-Red Pink and Gold hair! NOT a good look. Ya like that only this "IS" the color it is supposed to be.When you see the box in person it will look alot more pinkish brown/still thought it would look good.Even worse it did not cover a single gray hair, and something Revoln Colorsilk has never done, remember this was done on not colored or treated hair---left my hair really dry?So now I am going to have to color over this color. Not happy about this at all for I was trying to avoid coloring my hair and now I have to double process it and it's already dry!

Revlon Colorsilk lives up to its name

I have been using Revlon Colorsilk hair color for years. I love how well the product colors the gray hair and makes my hair color look natural with highlights and the conditioner leaves my hair silky and never looks dyed or dried out. I use #61 Dark Blonde to match my natural color, but I have used a lighter shade and a darker shade with the same results. Great coverage, I have longer than shoulder length hair and there is always enough in the box to cover my hair from the roots to the tips. I will never use anything else. Saves so much money over going to a salon, takes just me a little over an hour from start to conditioning. Thank you, Revlon, for such a fantastic product at a price anyone can afford. Tore up my scalp.

This was my favorite hair dye. Inexpensive- covered grays dependably- color stayed true, and didn’t wash out.I don’t know if they changed the formula, but I dyed my roots as I had been doing for years with this product about six days ago, and my scalp is still healing from whatever severe reaction it had to this hair dye.Anywhere on my head this dye touched, after I rinsed it off, became intensely itchy. I thought it would improve after my hair dried. I was wrong. The itching was excruciating and I tried not to scratch, because my now super sensitive scalp was starting to bleed.I washed my hair repeatedly over the next three days with a dandruff shampoo with zinc. My scalp is just now finally almost healed after six days.Needless to say- I will never use this product again. If you have a sensitive scalp, I would avoid using this hair dye. At one point, the pain and itching on my scalp almost sent me to the E.R. I wish I hadn’t had this reaction, as this had been my favorite hair dye.

Way too darker than the model's hair on the box

So I have dark brown Indian hair with grays in the front and temple area.. My hair color is what Caucasian people call being a brunette but it’s not black by any means. I have bought so many different shades of brown from this line from Revlon and other brands hoping to achieve the color that the model on the 20 brown black box have. That’s what my original hair color is. So when I bought number 20 and colored my hair, it turned it to almost black. So I bought lighter shades, some didn’t work at all on my gray hair. The only reason I’m coloring my hair is because it’s gray and I’m not ready for that yet. I don’t get why they put models with a different shades of hair vs what you actually get. That’s just confusing to me and misrepresentation of the hair color. 3 stars for the cost.
