Some of the previous reviewers had issue setting up the presta connection. If you follow the back of the card instructions, you'll see you need to unscrew the nozzle and flip the rubber and plastic pieces so that it can take in presta valves.With that part being set up, you don't get a solid 'feel' when locking the nozzle to the valve, however it does hold.With that part being done, then you need to pump. Oh boy, now either the read out on the gauge is very incorrect, or the pump is somehow mechanically flawed. It takes a lot of effort to attempt past 90+psi. I certainly cannot claim I feel confident even trying to push it that far.

As shown by other reviewers, the pump blew to bits (plastic snapped and was no longer usable). It gave up when pumping 40psi tyres on a kids bike. It failed entirely at attempting to pump presta valves on 700c tyres/tubes (all it did is deflate them). Worthless junk. Regretful purchase. I got all of 3 tyres pumped before it broke.

It works. This is an example of why you shouldn’t always listen to the negative reviews. You need to buy separately a adapter for converting regular to presta / high pressure valves and then just use the regular valve attachment supplied with the pump. Also works well with regular valves. It doesn’t seem to work with high pressure valve unless you have an adapter but if you have one then it works fine. Save 20 bucks and buy this.

I bought one on these and returned it as I thought it was faulty. The replacement was just as bad! The connection doesn’t go on to a valve properly. It’s hard to attach, then when it does it’s almost impossible to use the pump due to huge resistance when pumping. Basically it just doesn’t work. Lesson learnt! Don’t buy cheap! This second one going in the bin and I’ll go to a bike shop and pay more for one which works!
French valve assembly leaks heavily. Very difficult to attach.Gauge rarely functions, and is wildly inaccurate. My gauge stops increasing after 60 psi, while the pressure continues increasing.When I first used it, I continued pumping not noticing this fault, using a different gauge, the tire pressure was 100psi. Making this fault extremely dangerous.$25 bucks is extremely cheap for a product like this, however you get what you pay for, and in this case you get a poorly functioning and unsafe product.I'll return it tomorrow.
The main issue with this pump is the part that connect with the bicycle valves. It is very badly designed and does not lock onto the valve at all and even when you somehow manage to barely connect it or hold it in place (of course you need 2 people for this) air simply escapes near the valve. This is a major flaw of the product. The pump itself appears to pump air well but what's the point when you can't connect it???
I wish I read the reviews. I grabbed it when in Big W and it simply does not work. The connection, even with 2 people attempting to hold it does not connect and air just escapes.I should have learnt my lesson considering other bike things from Big W were a waste of money too.
While im totally aware you get what you pay for, this pump doesnt even meet you halfway. I spent over an hour trying to make it work on a Presta valve, thinking hey maybe it was just me being a gimp and didnt know how to use it. But no. The pump itself would be at home if places in landfill. It SORT OF works for schrader valves, but thats it. For a presta valve, you would be better off trying to inflate using your mouth. Id be happy to even not get my money back if it meant no other human being was subjected to using this fantastic example of plastic fertilizer again.
Looks solid, but does not attach well to tyre valve resulting in leakage. As a result, cannot achieve pressures over 60 psi. Difficult to pump too - requires a fair amount of force, probably due to ill fitting nozzle. Repco basic floor pump is much better if you don't need the gauge.
This worked just fine for my bike's schrader valves. There is an instruction on the back of the package explaining how to swap the attachment for schrader or presta valves. Though the air started little leaking after it passed 60 psi, it's good enough for my usage.
