Redken Extreme Cat Protein Treatment 150ml

I love Redken and can trust the brand’s ingredients and claims on each of their products. My hair is extremely damaged from constant use of heat tools, bleach and hair dyes. Using the Extreme Lengths line by Redken has been amazing on my hair, especially their leave in hair treatment. I apply to damp hair after shower and it makes it much easier to detangle while providing sleek hydration that is not too heavy and does not leave any residue. My hair instantly looks and feels smoother, healthier and shinier. It has helped to seal my dead/split ends while also eliminating frizz and dryness. This line has improved my hair health and length! So as someone who is a frequent bleacher of the hair, I have definitely done some damage to my hair. Redken has an entire line of Extreme which helps super damaged hair either from highlights or heat damage and this anti snap is incredible. I use it after the shampoo and conditioner as my leave in step and it’s enough slip to help detangle my curls. I do notice my hairs strength has improved since using this and I have repurchased three times. Obviously you need to trim the stuff that’s too far gone but this really did help my hair bounce back to an extent

I've gone through atleast 2 bottles of this product thus far, and to be honest with you, I love it, however I have thought about trying other products that are similar, more so because of the price. But it's worth it. It may not work for everyone's hair, but it definitely helps smooth out the frizz, and broken ends. Although it seems to dry out a few strands (like I had put gel, or hair spray), but that could be because I've used to much. I have noticed it has helped my hair to remain healthy. I started using this when my ends were completely fried, and it seems to have tamed that quite a bit. It did smooth out the frizz, but frizz is still an issue, but my hair is healthier then what it used to be. Although I've noticed that I'm having a harder time keeping permanent dye in my hair, or atleast last time I dyed my hair a permanent color, it faded, and washed out quicker than I had been accustomed to. So I'm unsure if this product is a contributing factor. I would more so recommend if you've been heavy on the heat damage to your hair, or have bleached, and used very damaging products to your hair. This will bring it back, atleast to some degree. As for price, it is slightly steep. I'm sure there is a product out there, comparable to this, but I haven't found it yet. I will say though, this gem has definitely brought out more of my natural hair then anything ever has, meaning that my waves are easier to appear. I use this about two to three times a week, basically after every shampoo, and condition. I towl dry for a few moments, to get the excess out, then I use about 1, to 2 pumps, sometimes 3, or 4 depending, and I try my best to equal it out through my hair. But, I make sure to save a pump for my ends, which I do last, so I can make sure to give them special attention, since they are still slightly damaged. If you've bleached recently, get this! If you wear tight buns alot, get this!! If you use heat products on your hair, get this!! It also smells good!! And if you use about a pump, or two, or three every time, it will last. I think the one I'm currently using has lasted me about 6 or so months now? Maybe more, but I have shorter hair. I'm sorry this review is so long, I also want to mention that someone on here mentioned it helps with hair loss, I had completely forgot about that, as I realize, since I started using this, I have seen less hair loss, although I still lose quite a bit, but the amount is definitely less.

The first time I tried this product was back in 2016 at the salon I was working at and have used it ever since. This is such a great product for anyone with processed hair that needs some extra love. I find it works best when applied to freshly washed hair that has been towel dried and left on to soak in. After a few uses you’ll see amazing results! I’d like to think this product is one that has aided in my hair growth and keeping it strong. This will forever be a favorite product of mine that I rephrases time and time again!

Ever heard one of those horror stories where people melt their hair off due to over-bleaching? Welp, my hairdresser did that TO me! One large blonde peek-a-boo almost ruined my hair. Thankfully I found this product! What a life saver. I used this product just once and knew it was a winner for life! It completely stops the stretching and breakage after a color or bleach, from home or the salon. If you hair is weak, colored, bleached or damaged = this product is for you!

My hair was fried at a salon here in Louisville a few moths back .. so I bought and tried this and While hair slowly getting better every week seems like i still have long way to go but it does help for now. I am air drying and applying zero heat to my hair too btw… it’s still too gummy and stretching badly in one spot still. Anyhow the product smells nice and has nice texture not sticky at all more like gel lotion kinda but the bottle is pump not spray I’d prefer a spray especially while my hair DOES NOT liking being brushed and breaks each time I do!!I have to do so very carefully in the shower with condition applied rinse and wrap in a soft wrap for now.. apply this wrap again!! When I received this in the mail I was so excited to try it. I used it after I used my Redken Color Extend Blondage shampoo and conditioner. Those 2 products alone made my hair feel amazing and soft and it works well through and through. When I put this on my hair and waited a few minute until rinsing it off I couldn’t tell much of a difference at first. The bottle seems of great quality as well. It sits on a shelf in my shower that’s at least a foot over my head and it falls off all the time. Not because of the shape of the bottle or anything but because of my shelves. It hasn’t chipped or broken even on the cap. Nothing special honestly, i am beyond disappointed with redkens shampoo conditioners. i originally got this because of my damaged bleached hair, but i had even more breakage using this. i have a big chunk of hair missing since using this for months. personally, i hate this product, makes me hair dry brittle don’t even get me started on the split ends. i’ve heard great things about this but no thank you :(
