Cellar for up to 5 years. Serve chilled. The award-winning Rapaura Springs in Marlborough has previously been named New Zealand Winery of the Year and has won a trophy for the World’s Best Sauvignon Blanc. Previously known for their successful mussel farm in Marlborough, the Nelson family who founded the winery purchased their first vineyard in 2003. Their fruit has supplied many local wineries including the legendary Oyster Bay. The estate today sources and grows grapes across Marlborough’s sub-regions which enables them to create a wide range of different wines. Wherever possible they seek to produce top quality fruit and use minimal intervention techniques in the winery to showcase the character of the terroir. This is their textbook Sauvignon Blanc which is made from the best parcels of each vintage and is fermented in stainless steel tanks to emphasise freshness and delicate aromatics. Ripe passionfruit, guava, pink grapefruit and zingy lemon dominate on the nose, while the first sip reveals a mouthwatering acidity, light body and pure, clean finish. The vibrant flavour profile makes this a great choice to serve as a refreshing aperitif or accompaniment to leafy salads, fresh seafood, grilled fish, herby roast chicken, lasagna or aubergine parmigiana.

I’m sipping on a glass of this while writing this note! Within the last ten years or so, Marlborough has become the world’s standard in Sauvignon Blanc. It’s easy to see why. For me, at the top of the short list of top producers is Spring Creek, makers of Rapaura. It's a family owned business that is doing all of the right things. They're very particular about fruit quality. You can't make great wine from lousy fruit! The Reserve range is the best of the best. It's an ultra-exuberant wine, bursting with passion fruit, guava and a zesty minerality that keeps it fresh on the palate. Think of it as an amped up version of the normal bottling. To summarise, it’s almost like it's an electric thing to drink!

A really nice wine at a decent price. Flavours explode. This is very well balanced with a decent finish. The Reserve is a stunner!

Have bought this wine many times over the last year, very satisfying and never fails to impress. Very nice tropical fruit flavors with no hint of greenness or herbaceous characters. Fantastic value when reduced to half price.

I bought this last weekend after being 'off' Sauvignon Blanc for awhile and I thought I'd try it for something different. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this wine especially at this price point. Not overly fruity, well balanced, smooth and very easy to drink.
I first bought this as I was impressed with all the awards it had won. Liked it so much that we then ordered 12 bottles. I feel this is a reasonably price, nice tasting wine.
The ‘reserve’ Rapaura Springs wine demonstrates all what is good about a quality Sav Blanc. Pairs well with food as not overly aromatic but great as a quaffer. Happily recommend
Sometimes I find a Sav Blanc very tart on the palate but the Rapaura Reserve is smooth and appealing. I would recommend this wine for Sav Blanc drinkers who don’t want to be disappointed.
Intense passionfruit and tropical notes on the nose which carry on with additional freshness in the mouth. At least a 4 star wine. Excellent value for money.
Having found a lot of Sav too acidic which moved me to choose Pinot gris instead, this is the only Sav I like now. It’s really well rounded with a balance of fruit, freshness and complexity. I drink it just off fridge temperature to really get the taste of the grapes
I have bought this by the caseload. It is that good and stunning value for the money. Exceptional set of flavours, bouquet and a magnificent "linger". I am a long term drinker of Sav Blanc and this one really cuts through, not having the standard flavours.First had some years ago when the Air New Zealand staff brought me some wine from the pointy end of the plane. Been buying it since. Can't undertstand any reviews here that are less than 5 stars, I feel those reviewers have not had enough Sav Blanc to properly compare. Just buy it.
