I have a Jaguar x type which does not have a rear wiper because it is a saloon not hatchback. By applying Rain X to my rear screen it stops the build up of rain on the back window thus helping me to see more easily. Tried this on the front screen and it was good but unfortunately my new Bosch wipers juddered across the screen hence I wiped it off and now my windscreen wipers work as they should do smoothly over the screen without the judder. I would like any suggestions to alleviate this happening in the future.

Amazing product, followed the instructions to a T (for a change) and it does exactly what they say it's supposed to do. Water just flows off, I'd recommend this product all day long, should have bought this stuff years ago. I'm looking forward to a torrential downpour to see how it handles that! I should be selling this stuff as it sells itself. I'd be loaded.

I ordered a small 200ml container of Rain X and was very impressed with the results. The rain just beads of the windscreen. This is especially beneficial during heavy down-pours of rain or when behind large HGV type vehicles on very wet roads when its very difficult to see. A small application of Rain X on the windscreen, both back and front really creates greatly improved driving experience. A small bottle goes a long way and the product is also fairly resistant to the wear from the wiper blades. A vert good product.
I was recently on You Tube and a car detailer was explaining the benefits of Rain X. So I thought I'd give it a go. The product was easy to apply and buffing off with a damp cloth was not necessary as it started to rain a little during buffing, and even this still made it easy to use the windshield was gleaming and very smooth when I had finished. The benefits are you can see much easier through your windshield when driving in wet weather and less use of your wipers. I was amazed at how well the water just beaded away giving me better vision at all times in the wet. The most important part was the preparation before applying Rain X always make sure you windshield is spotlessly clean and free from bugs and dirt.
This stuff is the nuts. It lasts forever too once applied I hardly use my wipers for months. They also do an washer fluid additive too which is brilliant. I highly recommend these products which a pair of fresh new wipers which Bofi also offer. Your life will be changed forever!
Recently I've tried a couple of ceramic windscreen treatments and the results were poor. Prior treatments of rain X had been removed through wear and the pretreatment supplied. So no reason why they shouldn't have worked. Result is I've returned to rainx. A treatment last 3 weeks before the performance starts to fade,but it still improves visibility for a long time after that. Re treatment is an easy process anyway. Performance compared to the ceramic treatments is night and day. Get beyond 50mph and the wipers are virtually redundant. Some people dislike the ghosting effect that rainx produces after each wipe, personally it doesn't bother me and the gain in visibility massively out pays this issue. Great product, easy to apply and I'll be sticking with it from now on.
Rain X, it does exactly what is pictured on the bottle. It helps clear rain from your windows. If you are going along the road, without wipers, it will shift the water droplets really well. For side and rear screens, it's essential during the winter/autumn(fall) months. You must apply it as per the instructions ! If you do not apply two coats, if you don't 'cut' and polish, then you will end up with a silicone covered glass surface. It takes a few goes to get it right, but once you know how to do it, and you see the difference, you will rely on it ! Highly recommended !
Don't use on your car windows if smoky windows annoy you. I've used on my bathroom mirrors and it works beautifully as there's no steam on them now whilst showering. However, they have a slight streakiness to them now, which drives me mad as they look like they always need cleaning now. I cleaned the mirrors thoroughly, applied one layer and left overnight, polished off, then applied another layer overnight. Buffed everything up but the next day there was a streakiness that had appeared all over the mirrors. When it's sunny it's horrendous. Great product that works but causes another problem as a result :-(

The effect is fantastic :) the water literally runs off the windscreen! The only issue is driving slow, it will not run off so easy, I have to use windscreen wipers occasionally. On the motor way however I found myself not using wipers at all! And overtaking the lorry in high speed on the rain, has become entertaining! You actually want to overtake the lorry, because that spray you get from it just runs off the windscreen without any large drops of streams :) The trip was Nottingham to Luton and I haven't used wipers once!
