The PRS DGT Birds in Dark Cherry Sunburst is a player's dream — a refined, gig-tested design shaped by years of collaboration between Paul Reed Smith and guitarist David Grissom. Built on the McCarty foundation, it brings vintage tone and feel together with PRS precision and reliability. The mahogany body with a carved maple top delivers warmth and snap in equal measure, while the high-gloss nitro finish lets the wood breathe and resonate naturally. Every detail is crafted with performance in mind, from the comfortable DGT neck carve to the taller frets that make expressive bends and vibrato effortless. At the heart of the DGT are its specially voiced humbuckers, fine-tuned over years of experimentation to capture that elusive vintage voice with modern consistency. Each pickup has its own volume control for perfect balance, while the push/pull tone adds single-coil sparkle when needed. The PRS Gen II tremolo offers smooth action and reliable tuning, and the locking Phase III tuners enhance sustain and stability. Finished in a striking Dark Cherry Sunburst, this is a true workhorse with the soul of a classic.
