The smell is extremely masculine and sensual. The base notes are very woody, deep and musky. Think chocolate, leather, patchouli. If you like “1 Million” you will like that part. However, this is a much more multi-dimensional fragrance compared to that. The mid-notes and highs add more floral and herbal aromatics which make it a complex and sophisticated cologne. If you’re used to simple fragrances, treat yourself to this and get a masterclass in high-class perfumery: the aroma evolves over time as the notes blend and fade. That said, unlike some other rich “ambers” I have, it’s not a fragrance that feels out of place without a suit and fancy occasion. It’s accessible enough for any fit. As an Eau de Toilette, you expect this to fade after about a half day, but incredibly my girl the next day (almost 16 hours later) was still all over me smelling my neck so it’s a real bang for your buck. A little goes a long way. Overall this has jumped right to the top of my roster of fragrances and is becoming a “daily driver”. It works great for day or night and is damn near an all-season smell. For me, it is a superior replacement for a lot of colognes I like, like Sauvage by Dior, my Allure by Chanel and Y by Yves Saint Laurent. It’s amazing how versatile it is, probably owing to the diverse aroma combination. Very classy bottle too - it looks good on the shelf. Strongly recommend this overall.

She certainly loved the scent. The same night, I also received a compliment on how nice I smell by a female friend of ours. I can say with confidence that this fragrance is going to be an instant hit amongst the ladies. Fourth, about the longevity, the scent lasted the whole evening but started to wear off sooner than expected from a Parfum. I would have loved it even more if it lasted longer! Overall, I am very happy with what I tried and my wife who has an impeccable taste in fragrances, approved this scent. For me this fragrance is a hit! At first I thought it was a plastic seal for protection or something, Then I actually realized it was top to the cologne. Why? Such a beautiful blue glass cologne bottle? I don’t understand why there’s a plastic top? You guys could have thought of something better than that. That’s why I took one star off the rating. All of my perfumes have decent tops, You guys could of put a wooden piece of driftwood for the design of the top and it would of been better. I appreciate that there’s four different sizes especially if you just want to start off very small. This is actually my 3rd time trying this cologne, I have purchased this Cologne with my own money twice for my 14 year old son last year when it first launched. The subsequent Eau de Parfum was a slight improvement, focusing more on warm sweetness instead of synthetic citrus and aquatic notes. The third release, Ocean Le Parfum, takes the best notes from both previous versions and refines them into one sweet, fresh and slightly spicy summer stunner. The Parfum has a splash of citrus in the opening, which quickly gives way to a beautiful, woody, amber base. The saffron note gives it just enough spice to make things interesting, but not enough to take this fragrance into "winter fragrance" territory. This one has very few flaws and should be considered by anyone looking for a new addition to their fragrance collection. Although the designer fragrance trend of constantly releasing flankers is starting to get tiresome, Prada did a great job with this one. This is probably their best release since Luna Rossa Carbon or Luna Rossa Black and is unquestionably the most interesting scent in the Ocean lineup. 4/5 stars, would highly recommend!

Today I am reviewing a new Prada cologne that arrived to me compliments of Prada Beauty in exchange for my honest review. The Le Parfum variation of the Luna Rossa Ocean cologne family comes in a red-to-black ombre flacon, bearing the Prada logo as a red stripe down the front. I’d like to preface this review by admitting that I personally do not wear cologne, though I was still interested to test this product as I love all things Prada, and do enjoy cologne vicariously whenever I sense it out and about. Even though I don’t wear cologne, I can’t imagine enjoying this particular rendition of Luna Rossa worn on someone else. The olfactory contrast between the zesty lemon and magnified saffron comes across as a harsh dissonance to my sense of smell, almost akin to a bad mix of chemicals or lighter fluid. I’m sure there will be some who do enjoy this cologne, but there is most certainly a chemistry going on with the formulation of this fragrance that does not agree with me. I am giving 2 stars for the sleek packaging that conveys a handsome sophistication. An attractive flacon for the collection at the very least.

Balanced Oceanic Scent with Green Undertones

Note I received this from Influencer in exchange for a review.I’m not the biggest fan of many oceanic scents, there’s always something off or its too strong even though I like the notes, so I’ve really wanted to find one I liked that doesn’t cost $500+ (Roja). I think this fits the bill, although the scent does change after a few hours of wear.When I read the notes of the scent, I didn’t understand why the product was called “Ocean Le Parfum.” That said when you wear the perfume, I get a nice balanced ocean scent for the first two-three hours of wear. Given that I’m also very picky and tend to lean towards $250-$500 scents, I think the fact that I consider this a keeper even if not my favorite I feel Prada did good.

They say first impressions matter and at the very first glance of this fragrance you see the blending of a matte finish that comprises 2/3rds of the package from the top that blends down into the bottom 3rd which has a gloss solid navy background. There is a red ribbon like appearance with Prada lettering that serves to let the consumer know, This is “Prada”, in all boldness.When you pick up the package, you can seamlessly feel the texture difference from the Matte finish to the bottom gloss finish. The red ribbon Prada letter is also textured differently similar to a ribbon you wrap on a gift. They have added a plastic protector that comes off and can be refitted over the top. This protects the top of the bottle where you would press down to release the fragrance spray. Overall I thought the smoothness of the bottle and dark hue with the navy to dark red transition in the bottle gives it a nice look.The very first spritz you spray on, you feel the boldness of the scent followed by woody oak yet refreshing smell that envelops. As you take in the smell fragrance, there is a spice/smoky note to it which oddly feels similar to how vanilla with spices would be like. This is a fantastic smell.

Keeping with tradition with a few notable twists

At first I was mildly disappointed by this but on my second wearing of Prada Ocean I was pleasantly surprised. The spray pattern of this bottle is aggressive and I would recommend spraying this at a distance of 6 to 8 inches away from your body. If you don't, the scent doesn’t transform from how it smells out of the bottle to a “worn” scent.This has a more sultry, evening to night scent than my other Prada colognes and it has a subtle spice and warmth to it.
