Prada Candy Kiss - 30ml Eau De Parfum Spray

I have to start off by saying that I am SUPER picky about what fragrances I use. So when I received a sample of Prada Candy in my latest Sephora Favorites set, I was skeptical. Boy was I wrong! It smells absolutely amazing! This is now one of my top favorite fragrances! I don't claim to have a gourmand nose or anything, but the first scent I picked up was definitely the caramel. It smells delicious! Then I picked up the vanilla and musk and WOW! I was just blown away! I absolutely love this scent. It's a warm and spicy, gourmand fragrance. I feel very sexy when I wear this fragrance, very sophisticated and stylish if that makes any sense. It's a playful and sophisticated, gourmand women's fragrance combining in excessive proportions, subtle white musks, warm benzoin and an addictive touch of caramel to create a warm and sweet vanilla perfume for women who are impossible to ignore. The key notes are: white musk, benzoin, and caramel accord. I really cannot say enough good things about this perfume. This is definitely something that I recommend and that you need to go out and try for yourself. I promise that you won't be disappointed! 😊

In my opinion, Prada Candy is a universal fragrance. It will suit both a young girl and an older woman. I can't put a hard border, because in my purely subjective opinion, perfume is not a girly fragrance, or simple. All the flavors that carry sweetness, even cloying to some extent, can not be persistent. Moreover, they are often so intense that they can haunt, strangle, and even destroy all living things. The fragrance lasts for more than five hours. It depends on how the fragrance has made friends with your skin, or clothes. Towards the end of the day, the fragrance is still noticeable and has not disappeared from the skin. There is also an incredible plume, which is very well felt. And how delicious it is! Prada La Femme by @prada, an amber floral fragrance with main accords of floral, tuberose, beeswax, tropical, white floral, woody animalic, yellow floral, powdery, and honey. Top Notes: Magnolia, Bergamot, Carrot Seeds Middle Notes: Frangipani, Tuberose, Ylang-Ylang, Iris, Spices Base Notes: Beeswax, Vanilla, Vetiver This is a very nice cleaner type of scent. I couldn't have described it any better, it smells expensive. This is not a beachy kind of scent, it's the type of scent you wear to like brunch/lunch on your vacation or to go shopping or having drinks hanging out by the pool of your hotel. I can totally see myself wearing this going shopping at the Shops at Wailea or Whaler's Village in Maui 😏. The main notes I get from this is definitely that Frangipani with a bit of that Tuberose. The beeswax, of course, which sweetens this florals and giving the fragrance honey-like scent. Then I also get a touch of spice from the Carrot Seeds and spices, not too heavy though. Those are the main ones I can make out easily, but all these notes are well blended. Longevity on this is about 6 hours, so pretty decent longevity. It is great for warmer weather, but this can easily be worn in the fall as well. Have you tried this or any in this line?

A bit on the sweet side.

Today I am reviewing a fun fragrance from Prada Beauty - the simply titled “Candy” eau de parfum. This fragrance sample arrived to me in the form of this hot pink colored sample card, complete with a clear 1.2 mL spray vial of perfume. The overall theme of this fragrance is loud and dramatic, like the clashing colors of hot pink and amber as seen in the product pictured on the card. My first experience with Prada Beauty was testing out the immaculate Paradoxe, so I was admittedly excited to be testing out another Prada fragrance. In all seriousness, this fragrance is way too sweet for my taste - but that’s not to say that it was necessarily bad. I must admit, the Caramel accord is quite delicious to the senses. However, the sugar high, cotton candy overload sweetness of the other notes really drowns out any trace of sophistication. This is definitely not a fragrance that I would recommend you wear to a formal occasion. I’m almost reminded of those drug store fragrances that you can buy dirt cheap that are inspired by scents like cotton candy, sugar cookies, and whatnot. Sadly, this does not smell like a high-end fragrance, and it borders on smelling quite juvenile because of that undeniable, overly sticky sweetness that sort of makes you feel like you’ve spent too long in the candy store. Do I think Candy was an appropriate name? Sure. But everything in moderation! I’m not quite sure moderation is in the vocabulary of this fragrance. This is a skip for me.

Of all of the different perfumes I've tried, bought , loved over the years, this is my absolute favorite ! The regular Candy scent as well as the nighttime version just fit me perfectly. I feel instantly more calm, classy and luxurious the moment I lightly mist my wrists and neck . My boyfriend goes crazy for the scent too. Which is, of course, one of the best features of this product.The only drawback to this scent is that it's not available all the time. I have to search for it as it is only carried in some stores seasonally. During the Christmas season I can usually find a set that includes both the day and night versions at a department store . But I know I can find it all year round at Ulta Beauty. Within a couple of minutes she returned with a bright pink box with gold trim and my world was beautiful again!!!Ashley is my hero!

Im So In Love

This is a full bodied fragrance. Its olfactory family is spicy gourmand. Its warm, creamy, luscious, & decadent. Its sweet but not cloying like bubble gum & cotton candy. Its caramel espresso fill me up to savor on your tongue, and eat me up if you're married loveliness. Truly this is a whole sophisticated woman bouquet. Its unmistakable and stands out in a crowd. It gives the, "I belong with a distinguished gentleman, walk with confidence, and will set the atmosphere divine."If Prada Candy was a wine, it would be the one Jesus made at the wedding in Cana bc its what you think of when you have saved the best for last miraculously.She is intense and passionate and each droplet will drizzled like a glaze against my melanated mocha.Im so blessed to have received her.

So I can tell you, girls, with vomeronasal expertise, that Prada Candy is NOT a candy, or even a sweet scent, and is absolutely, 100 NOT a caramel or vanilla fragrance, though most scents do have a vanilla base note thats undetectable, just exactly like this one is. To read that this is a caramelesque gourmand is laughable. Ive made, smelled, worn true vanilla and caramel scents, like the intensely foodie, buttery, much loved Vanilla Caramel body spray from Victorias Secret in the early 90s, and the cloyingly sweet cotton candy scent that is my beloved Pink Sugar perfume. And I can tell you with absolute CERTAINTY that Candy is NOT a gourmand scent, is NOT a caramel scent, is NOT a foodie scent, and is not even a sweet scent. This is a FLORAL PERFUME, folks. I dont know what Prada, or its wearers, are comparing it to, or what they think a gourmand fragrance is supposed to be, but they missed the mark with Candy by a lonnnnnnnng shot. I can only assume the name Candy is a reference to someones name, and NOT to a sweet treat. So dont be seduced by the very misleading name and even more misleading description.

Smell nicer than the name suggests

I’ve had a sample of Candy for a long time but never wanted to try it because of the name. It made me believe that this scent is gonna be extremely sweet and sugary, which not my preference for fragrance. However, the scent actually surprised me in a good way! It’s a warm powdery scent with a subtle sweetness from the caramel. This scent also remind me of Skin by Clean, the notes of which includes praline, musk, salt, and tonka (the combo is similar to the caramel, musk, benzoin, and vanilla in Candy). Both scents for some reason are extremely subtle on me that I personally can’t smell it much when sprayed on my body. I do appreciate the comforting subtlety and warm of this scent but wouldn’t purchase for its poor performance on me.

I understand having a signature scent profile that makes the brand instantly recognizable, since Candy is a classic Prada scent, but after using Paradoxe I found this was just a bit too on dimensionally sickly sweet for my taste - quite like caramel! So I think they hit the mark with capturing the scent profile of caramel - so if you live the sweet dessert ingredient, this really is for you. I can't fault the perfume for being what it is meant to be, it's just not exciting at all and fell flat as I didn't feel any of the other notes other than a generic musky feel to it even with this being a very long lasting perfume. There is a sharp oiliness to the fragrance that I think is meant to be the warmth and musk, but doesn't feel pleasant or luxurious. I was really excited when I found out I was getting the Prada box but was disappointed when it came in a sample size. I did say that I would accept sample sizes and in this case it was probably for the best. I’m confused by the notes or accord. There’s this scent that is not appealing to me and I can’t quite figure it out and even after reading the scents involved I just get more confused. I want to say the initial notes I smell come across as menthol and black licorice-like to me. Bitter orange is lost on me. Maybe I just don’t know how it smells, but the cocoa and the vanilla do smell nice together. And I will say that after a couple hrs, the scent became more appealing. But I’m more of a vanilla, lavender, citrus, fresh, clean scents kinda girl and I know tons of people will like the dark, woodsy, vanilla and Prada perfume.
