This was a replacement for a traditional without lid sugar bowl that is 20+ years old and has provided consistent daily service for the one of us with a sweet tooth. So a hard act to follow. We noted a crack under the glaze andit was simply a case of sourcing an identical either shape or decoration. The decoration was the same as the original but the new shape and lid matches other Botanics items we own. Delighted with the high quality typical finish and the lid is a sensible addition. Very quick service from Portmeirion. Recommended

As an FYI, i received today the Portmeirion sugar bowl and creamer and am happy to say that both items are made in England. And they are beautiful.Additionally, the Scalloped Edge Footed Bowl and the Botanic Garden Oblong Tray are made in China. : (

Pretty sugar bowl in a practical size to have to hand for the few guests who do still like to add sugar to their cuppa.
