PFU Happy Hacking Keyboard Professional BT Non-Engraved / Black PD-KB600BN

This is an amazing keyboard if you know what you're looking for. I have owned the regular HHKB and had grown to like the compact layout of it, but what I felt it lacked was a true wireless option. I ended up modding mine but it wasn't ideal as the battery life with the mod only lasted 3 days at most. Eventually I sold my HHKB but soon missed owning one, so I decided to try the BT version and I'm glad I did. It definitely feels more solid than the normal one and the battery life for the BT is quite excellent. It still has the unique HHKB Topre feel that you either love or hate. The only downside is that the USB connection on the keyboard is for power only, and you cannot directly connect this keyboard to a PC even if you wanted to. Overall if you want a truly portable Topre keyboard, you can't go wrong here. I only wish you weren't forced to import them from Japan, as they are not distributed in the US as of this review.

After trying a several different Topre keyboards including Realforce 45g uniform silent, 45g uniform non-silent, and HHKB Pro 2, I am happy to say HHKB BT is one of my favorite keyboards all time. As a matter of fact my "end-game" keyboards are Realforce 87u 45g EK Edition and this HHKB BT. HHKB in general feels a bit different than Realforce keyboards as they have ABS plate-mounted Topre switches vs. metal plate-mounted Topre switches found on Realforce. HHKB keyboards are also much lighter due to simple and ergonomic HHKB layout and material used (material of plate). However, don't let that deter you away from looking into HHKB. HHKB line ups (except lite which I would not recommend anyways) are all very light but solid at the same time. For me this HHKB model deserves 5/5 stars. Pair it up with your desktop, laptop, or mobile phones and tablets, you will love it.

best wireless keyboard I've ever used
