I had high hopes for this being that the reviews were so positive. I used this in place of a toner that I had been using for a few months and my skin went insane! I kept going for about a month thinking it was just a skin purge but my face became so red and blotchy and I had breakouts like I've never had before. I switched back to my old toner and decided to give this brand another shot and purchased products from the clear line, I can easily say that was my best decision because though this toner killed my skin, my new products are absolutely wonderful.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I love this toner! Previously I've used the Advanced Replenishing Toner and wasn't sure if any of these others would compare, but this is just as good! I love the texture and viscosity, it's not too runny so I can apply with my hands and not lose any product. It's so moisturizing and I love it paired with the MOISTURE BOOST Hydrating Treatment Cream and an occlusive ointment at bed time for supple skin in the morning. Highly recommend.

I was really excited about this new range from Paula’s choice and this toner has really lived up to my expectations. I have dry sensitive skin which is worse due to being on chemo and this adds a really lovely hydrating layer onto the skin prior to serums and moisturiser. My skin feels nourished and comfortable. I really want to try some of the other products from this range now.

I purchased this with hopes of alternating it with the SKIN BALANCING Pore-Reducing Toner when my skin needed a more gentle hand, but I found it to actually be more irritating. It didn't matter the frequency of application, twice daily, once daily, a few times a week, it would still cause a stinging sensation. The plus side is that it has no offensive scent and is moisturizing, but I'm not sure that the accompanying irritation is worth it for me. I have no plans of letting it go to waste, so I'll see if other parts of my body can tolerate it better.
So I have been using the old oily skin version of this toner and loved that one so I was so worried that they stopped making it but to my surprise I really love this new one. It isn't orange like the other one, it is a milky white color. It really does feel as though it calms this skin. It doesn't pill under my moisturizer which is really nice. I found my favorite way to apply it is with my fingers instead of a cotton ball. I then like to let it set for a few minutes and then apply my other skincare. It does seem to moisturize my skin also which is nice. Definitely recommend this if you have very sensitive skin. Thank you Paula's Choice for having things for sensitive skin!!
Best soothing toner I've used on the market thus far. I suffer from post-inflammatory erythema and I apply this am/pm to reduce the redness and minimize the irritation around the pimple area(s) so that my erythema isn't as bad after the pimple is gone-works wonders! Texture is milky and v hydrating. Saw more immediate results from this over the serum from the same line.

As moisturizing as that toner is, I feel this one leaves my skin feeling even more soft. I can go longer after using this toner and putting on moisturizer than I could with the skin recovery one. It is not irritating to me, and I do not feel as though it breaks me out. Sometimes I notice I may have a minor breakout from the skin recovery toner...though I can't quite put my finger on why or when. When I had a horrible face-peeling reaction to a new prescription cream, I started to use this toner after my skin began to heal and wasn't stinging horribly. I was hesitant to try this toner as I have very sensitive (rosacea), combination skin with acne. This toner is a big improvement on the old formula. It doesn't sting, make me red, or break me out. My skin is less irritated with its use. I use it with the other Calm products (some old, some new) and will continue to try out the new line as I use up my existing older Calm formulations.
I have perioral dermatitis, and this toner is one of the few products that actually made a difference in my skin. With my old toner (which was not from PC but was a soothing hydrating toner) I would get flare ups in the winter because of the cold, whenever I used retinol, sunscreen, an aha or bha, and terrible flare ups around my period. Since I've been using this toner I can use all those products with no problem, I get tiny patches of eczema around my period but it's nothing like it used to be. Also the texture is great, very lightweight but hydrating.This toner changed my life, it's amazing, please never discontinue it!!p.s. for reference my skin is dry/sensitive, prone to eczema but not acne prone

I started using it the same day I first used my prescriptions and ever since, and to my delight and surprise, my skin is handling them both like a champ. I pour it onto fingers (not palm) and have never had it even slip through, yet it doesn't defeat the purpose of a toner vs a serum. It is milky-thin yet silk-y, and applies and absorbs beautifully.I've not found it to leave a film like another reviewer mentioned, and, to the contrary, find it easy to layer with my moisturizer x2, my tretinoin cream, and my facial oil without pilling or absorption issues.I think it's perfectly acceptable to cycle this toner with another toner, especially if one has oily or combo skin that needs balancing. I, myself, swap this for the Skin Balancing Pore-Reducing Toner some AMs, but make sure to always use this alongside my tretinoin in the PMs. In fact, I think it's the absolute perfect companion.I'm curious and eager to try some of Paula's other toners, and had recently started browsing again, but then it hit me, why would I risk ruining a good thing? This product is everything I want and need in a nourishing toner (hello, Allantoin, Glycerin, & Panthenol!) and has exceeded my expectations. So.. Don't fix what isn't broke. Search is over.
