It won't wash out. I tried Paul Mitchell Shampoo, body wash, face wash, and dish soap. I ran out of hot water. It won't wash out. I put some jojoba oil in my hair hoping that would break it down. You know, like using oil to remove sticker residue on picture frames. Now, the oil won't wash out of my hair. Paul Mitchell, this stuff is awful. I expect better from your products. A very dissatisfied customer.

I’ve been having a really hard time finding the right product to keep my pixie cut style in place. I like to kind of slick it back, but not be shiny. I thought this product wasn’t going to work because honestly spray wax just sounds weird, but it blew me away! It leaves a matte finish and holds so well that even wind won’t mess it up. You do have to be careful not to use too much because then it can leave visible white stuff in your hair. A little goes a long way. I like to hold my hair in the position I want it to be in, spray it a little, and then smooth through with my hands to gently distribute until it sets. Don’t try to brush or comb it after it sets, trust me.. just don’t! Reminds me of dry shampoo in that way. It is a little hard to wash out, I had to shampoo twice but I think that has more to do with having a ton of product in my hair from multiple days of re-styling. I’ve been using it after applying a pomade but I think that weighs it down so today I’m going to try just using the spray. I have no doubts, I’m sure it will work just fine. Hiiiiighly recommend for pixie cuts! Honestly none of these things deter me from using this spray, it’s the best and strongest styling product I’ve ever used.

I have a short pixie. Product works great either sprayed directly on hair or on fingers to target areas. Great for riding motorcycles! Husband uses it also.Only problem is 3/4 through the can the nozzle blocks and you can't use it so you waste 1/4 of the product. Used this for 9 years. Love the product hate the nozzle.

I have used this product for more than 20 years; better than other spray waxes hands down.

I bought 3 different spray waxes this week. Paul Mitchell; which I've always used, Sexy Hair and KMS. PM still is the best hands down. KMS is okay, and works in a pinch, but even more expensive; you have to use more product and the cans are too small. Sexy Hair is too dry and does very little for texture. Paul Mitchell only works on long hair if you're straightening it; and it makes the hair super straight without frizzies. I have very fine, short, hair that just lays flat all the time. Paul Mitchell wax goes a long way, without having to use too much product. It gives me lift, texture, can be curled (prevents your hair from getting heat damage) or works for the classic bed head. It gives me lift, texture, can be curled (prevents your hair from getting heat damage) or works for the classic bed head. When it's hot out it can go flat, just tousle hair with your hands or use a cool setting on your blow dryer and you're back in business. I just spray lightly for a quick second and that's all I need. If you need more do it in increments, nothing worse than getting a greasy look. I have read many complaints about a clogged nozzle, and that they can't get the nozzle to work after a few sprays and then they toss the can. It's not the nozzle (well sometimes it is), but it's the wax in the can. When it refuses to come out in a fine mist, or at all; it means the wax is too cold. I take my hair dryer, and heat up the can. You just keep turning the can while holding the hair dryer a couple of inches away, but don't do it very long; as this is a pressurized product. Sometimes you have to do this more than once. This will normally make the spray mechanism good as new. It doesn't hurt to put the nozzle in hot water from time to time, but not hot enough to melt it. I hope this helps!

I'm a Fan

I have naturally curly hair, but often times I'll wear it straight. In order to achieve a straight style, I have to blow dry and then go over my hair with a flat iron or curling iron to finish the style. I use this spray way after the blow dry and before the heat styling. Just apply a light mist all over--a little goes a long way. Too much and like any other product, it will leave your hair heavy, dull and with a lot of build up. I then go through with the heat tool of choice and that's it. My style lasts all day, no need for any additional holding spray. I'll sometimes go over it with a spray for added shine, but that's it. My only complaint would be that the nozzle often clogs. Usually towards the middle or end of the bottle, but it's a pain. Most times I've been ... MoreI have naturally curly hair, but often times I'll wear it straight. Most times I've been able to unclog it just by running it under hot water, but there has been a time where even that didn't work and I had to toss what was left. Annoying, but a small price to pay for something that works so well for me. I've been using this stuff for years, and nothing else I've tried works quite as well.

Nope!

This seemed like what I was looking for- something to give my hair a little texture and lift. Not so much. It was heavy and extremely waxy. It took a number of washes to get rid of two quick spritzes. Retuned the next day. Not for me!

I have used this product for close to 20 years for multiple hairstyles. I can't live without it! There is no other product quite like it, and I think I have tried them all! This is a wax that spays out like a mist. I have very fine hair but this wax does not weigh it down, but you could over-use this if you're not careful. It's great to create lightweight spikes, tamp down frizzies, slick back, or separated locks. This spray wax provides touchable hold. I use additional hairspray or glue for stiffer styles. It is slightly sticky when you first spray it but it does dry out. You can dampen your fingers and run them through your hair to revive your look later in the day. It smells nice too. I have never had any trouble whatsoever washing this out of my hair with one ... MoreI have used this product for close to 20 years for multiple hairstyles. I can't live without it! The 7.5 oz bottle lasts me 6 months and I use it almost daily.

A fabulous product, recommended to me by my hairdresser. It's the lightest easy to use wax and gives lasting hold and shine to my hair.

Problem with spray container
20 August 2024

I bought two cans of this spray wax from my hairdresser. The product works well—for only half the can. Then it clogs up, and lumps come out onto my hair and clothes. I told the hair salon, and they said to wash the spray nozzle. I did that. Still, I had to throw it out. I was stupid enough to buy a second can. The same thing happened. That's over $45 I spent on this product and had to throw it out.

Too sticky on dry hair
23 May 2015

I have chin length very course and thick naturally wavy hair (so thick that I actually have an undercut to get rid of hair I don't need, you can't tell at all that I have an undercut when my hair is down) that I try and style as like a messy wavy bob.My routine is some kind of smoothing serum + control/creme gel (playing around with different options right now) on damp hair + braids/headband technique/hand twists and then sometimes I top off with a spray wax. I sometimes reapply spray wax on dry hair to get more hold/definition/control.I like this spray wax least because it is so sticky when sprayed on dry hair. If you spray on damp hair it's fine, but I think that's partly because it didn't stick as well.
