Even though I ordered based on my measured inseam the pants are a bit long. My only concern is that the bottom of the pant legs might wear prematurely. I'm trying to figure out why the belt loops are so large. I've never seen a belt that large except on Santa Claus. The quality is everything we've come to expect from Patagonia and the reason we continue to do business with you.We don't actually hike, I wear these pants in the winter for our 5 mile, 4 times a week walks on our rural roads.

What can I say? I love Patagonia products, company ethos, etc., and have been an enthusiastic customer for over thirty years. The end-of-season ski pants purchase was something I jumped at this time around. I am a true 6' adult male of about average stature (190lbs). I get it now, but the sizing has been a bit confusing for me in recent years. Once I exchanged my initial (L) order the (M) the fit was near perfect. My one observation is of the length of the pants. While I understand the desire to have them long enough not to bunch up the leg when bending/ flexing, the length seems a bit overkill. Yes, there is a short variety available, maybe this would have addressed the issue, but I went with the regular. Better to be too long than too short for ski pants. I know ... MoreWhat can I say? I know I'll love the pants regardless. As always, excellent build quality, love the color, and I know these will be a part of my ski/ winter kit for seasons to come. Great product. Take the time to size yourself correctly as I reminded myself again just recently!

I got these as a replacement for an earlier version of the same model, these are superior. They are a bit long for me but work great with boots on. I used them a few days on the mountain and am really impressed. They are considerably lighter and way more waterproof than old version. I was out on a wet snow day last week and stayed dry. I was surprised since material is so lightweight. Very comfortable cut too.Patagonia moved the vents to the outside of the legs and added waterproof zippers on vents and pockets which are both improvements. I like non-insulated pants so these work great for me. Highly recommended.

The Snow pant and shell Ive worn for years did me well and wore and washed well too. I had a seem stitch issue and the company just replaced it, just like that. Patagonia stands by there products. When I was 20 I bought my first jacket from them and it was $275 for the long shell; I couldn't really afford it but new it would last me thru college and skiing Stowe and Sugarbush tree runs. Twenty years later it finally fell apart after thousands of hours of rough wear. So worth it !
Near-perfect shell style ski pants. I bought them for spring skiing here in the Tahoe area, but I have a feeling they might be my year 'round ski pants, except for maybe the coldest storm days. I think with a base layer underneath, they'll be warm enough down to 25° or so. These are definitely long... I'm 6'3" and the medium hits the top of my boots and then some. And, they're a little more flared at the bottom than my North Face pants, which is fine, just a different look than I'm used to. Love the color (I bought the blue/grey), the side vents, and the reinforced ankle patches. Nice adjustable waistband, plenty of zippered pockets (there aren't any on the backside, fyi).
I previously owned the same model (or a very similar model) ski pant, which lasted 10 full seasons in wet PNW conditions. No tears, broken zippers, or any other issues, despite using frequently using them with crampons. I only bought a new pair because I needed a different color for work. These serve as my every day resort pants and my go to for cold weather ski touring. They are fairly simple - a few different pocket options and vents. In terms of sizing, I'm around 5'11" and wear a 32x32 pant. The size medium/regular is perfect. If you're looking for a straightforward, do-it-all ski pant, this is a great option.
I just bought these pants. They are awesome. Super warm for cold conditions with a base layer underneath. I am 5’8-5’9 and got a size small. Waist fits true to size, they run long though. The bottom of the pants are super wide to fit over snowboard bindings and boots easily but might be a bit wide for ski boots. The powder liner that velcros keeps the snow out at the bottom though. They do run fairly long so if you don’t want your pants getting caught in your bindings when clipping in, look for the shorter version. Pockets are great and warm. The vents on the legs are a nice size and open well to breathe but not let snow in. Overall, I’m super happy. If I could change one thing, it would be to have them be about 3 inches shorter in length.
I purchased these ski pants after a pair of PowSlayer Pants crouch seam split while skiing in Utah. Like the PowSlayer Pants the Powder Town pants have a very slick fabric on the waist band. That slick fabric enables the pants to slide down every time I got on and off the lift. It is quite annoying. I cannot understand why there are not a set of suspenders. The last 3 pairs of Patagonia ski pants I have purchased have suspenders that can be removed. The fabric is pretty slick. It makes me wonder if I fell in a icey couloir I might end up being saucer boy going for a ride of my life. I need to practice my self arrest skills. I would not recommend purchasing these pants.
This is an excellent snow pant. I operate cross-country ski trail grooming equipment and wear this pant for work as I manicure 45 miles of trail in all kinds of weather conditions. The light insulation is perfect for warmth. I am constantly getting in and out of the cab, tossing fallen tree limbs or cutting fallen trees with a chainsaw. I'm on my knees cleaning impacted snow, ice and jammed twigs from grooming teeth. The pants offer great freedom of movement with no binding tight spots as I move around. The secure zippered pockets are invaluable and their placement location is ideal for my needs. I treat these Powder Town pants pretty rough and subject them to more abuse than I'm sure they were designed for. I'm amazed how well built and rugged they are. I tried these pants twice in the Pacific Northwest under very moderate conditions. Temps were in the upper 20 to low 30's and I froze each time! These pants are COLD! They are very thin, which makes them very flexible, However, they don't seem to be wind proof so ridding a chair, or doing a groomer at speed were very cold. The wind seemed to go right through them. They are very waterproof, and the fit was amazing, but I needed something with more thermal protection. They fit pretty tight so there wasn't a lot of room to add a ton of extra layers that I would need to make these usable. Even in moguls and tight trees I couldn't maintain enough heat to stay warm. Sadly disappointing, as the fit was great. I am short and finding a decent fitting pant is very difficult. ... MoreI tried these pants twice in the Pacific Northwest under very moderate conditions. I think they'd make a great XC, backcountry, or snowshoe pant
