I got caught up in nostalgia with this pen. I got one of these and a Schaefer fountain pen in HS. I loved them. I’ve since used more pens and while I have fond memories of them, this is not a smooth writer. If you want something in this price range I recommend getting a Pilot Metropolitan. The Parker jotter feels good in the hand and looks nice in a semi-formal setting. When it works it feels good and lays down a good line. It just doesn’t feel good most of the time. Some time it feels like it is struggling. The large ink reservoir is another good reason to get this pen. I’ve tried it on different paper and checked the tines for alignment There’s really no reason for it to perform this oddly.

I love gel pens, but I hate that I have to throw the whole pen in the trash after the gel ink runs out, because it generates plastic pollution for no good reason. That is why I now try to use pens that accept refills.
Very well built. Very smooth writing. Not heavy and comfortable in the hand. Can use Parker cartridges or with a Parker converter can be filled from an ink bottle. As a long time Parker user/owner I have always found that I get more for my money with a Parker pen. Whether it is with a roller ball, ball point or my favorite, the fountain pen, I get a pen that is comfortable to use, well designed and manufactured and will do the job with no fuss.
Parker oil-based inks write a long time and tend to not skip. Their gel inks, which are water-based, tend to accumulate blobs on the pen tips. Generally, all brands of gel inks get used up 4-5 times as fast as oil-based inks. That makes them very popular with the manufacturers, and much more profitable.
Product is good, delivery was quick
I've used Parker's for years. They are part of my everyday carry. I need to take notes on the fly and my hands are usually grungy. As any pens I have tend to end up being snapped in half or eventually lost, this one fits the niche. Its white barrel is sturdy makes it easier to keep track of and allows a better grip than the more expensive metal barrel version. It also takes a lot punishment before it gives up. It will likely end up with gravel embosses in its barrel before I'm done with it, an indication of how well it takes it. I expect to go through several refills before its done.
Bought this for my nephew. He likes it very much. Light weight smooth writing with even flow of ink.
