Parker releases a new Premium series of the recently relaunched Parker 51 model. The Parker 51 maintains the hallmarks of the original that gave the 51 its identity while leveraging technical advancements and expertise and craftsmanship to ensure its fit for use in the modern world. The name Parker 51 was no coincidence, Parker had named all their models until then, but had come to the conclusion that if a model was given a name, this name detracted from the name of the brand. A number would therefore suffice better for a new pen, also because a number has the same meaning in all languages. A trial run of the newly developed pen was put out in 1939, which was the 51st year of the Parker Pen Company's existence. The pen was therefore given the type number "51". Parker is over a century leader in design and production of the best pens in the world. These pens are not only fine writing instruments, they never let you down. Moreover they give status to every generation. This has resulted that Parker pens have become a style icon.

It has been my privilege to order once from The Pen Boutique. I placed my order on Wednesday and the pen made it almost half way across the country by Friday. The Pen Boutique provides courteous and prompt service and I hope to order from them again soon. I ordered the Parker 51 Premium in red with a fine nib. The nib choice was based on my experience with several vintage Parker 51s and I think I made the right choice. Some have criticized the fact that the new Parker 51 has a screw attached cap, but I do not mind that because most of my fine pens have that type of construction. Others have criticized the type of converter, but squeezing a bulb on a vintage 51 is no more sure way of filling a pen. Unfortunately, there was a stain on the back of the box. Could not attach an image to this form. Since this is for a special occasion this weekend, I am not in a position to exchange the item..Regards,Louise

This fountain Pen with Gold Trim is very elegant and very smooth to write with it. I bought it as a gift present for my partner. Very pleasing to the eye and looks classy! It came in a sturdy Parker pen case box.

This pen is gorgeous and writes beautifully. My first Parker 51 was given to me by my father. It was the Parker 51 my mother gave him for Christmas in 1951 and I've been hooked ever since. This pen does not disappoint. It belongs in the hand of anyone who appreciates Parker fountain pens.
Hard to find a better looking. Writes great. the only thing and its a small thing. when unscrewing the cap does not have a smooth feel to it. I would buy the pen again because the really good looks and writing feel i think far outweigh any other little fault.
I love the design or this fountain pen. Very sleek. It is a light pen, quite small (diameter). I have a fine steel nib.
I am deeply impressed with the quality of construction and the smoothness of writing experience. The Parker 51 has perfect balance in the hand. I purchased the Forest Green color with chrome and gold color trim. Have received compliments from family and friends on the beauty of the "51."
Love the color and feel, the fine nib is closer to medium IMO, It writes very smoothly, the only problem is that cap cap doesn't stay on the bottom of the pen that well while writing. Keeps popping off. I have two originals a 51 and a 29 (?) The writing feels comparable. The Jubilee cap looks great. Came with a converter!
My first pen, many years ago was a Parker 51. The model had a slightly different barrel, but I loved that pen. Imagine my joy when I discovered the Parker 51 - in the newer editions, with the same smooth nib performance, and the same comfortable grip. The pens (yes, I have more than one) are a delight and a joy. I have the plum, and the turquoise. I would recommend them unreservedly. Not only are the pens wonderful but the sense of nostalgia is beyond words. These pens take me back to my childhood - and that's a gift worth receiving.
