I bought these shoes recently trying to find waterproof shoes. Once I received them and tried them on I was surprised how uncomfortable they were while walking in my room and how wide the toe width was being that it wasn't advertised that way. However, prior to purchasing, I did read another review with the same compliant, but I wanted to try them out for myself. My feet are very narrow with a high arch, so maybe that's why they were uncomfortable for me, but they may feel great for someone else.

These are the worst running shoes I have ever had. I took them for a 7 mile run on easy terrain and by the end, there was already a tear form. For a shoe this expensive, I expect them to last longer than SEVEN MILES. Also, the holes in the sole mean rocks and other debris get stuck and you’ll end up feeling it. Needless to say, I won’t be buying this brand again.

Super comfortable but incredibly short-lived. Torn outer lining, big tears at the heel and above the shoelaces make them unwearable - all after less than 100 miles, about 1/2 in the gym 1/2 on the trail. No way these are worth the cost or for anyone who wants to actually use them regularly for their purpose - running! (vs just wearing them occasionally as nice looking street shoes)

For the money, sadly not as good as I'd hoped
1 July 2023

I was super excited to get my first pair of On shoes, but I'm a little disappointed. First, they do run small-I went up a half size and looking back, I probably should have gone up a full size.I took them on a recent trip and found they are comfortable for short periods of time and for casual wear. However, I got mine for strenuous, multi-hour hikes. I found that my feet ached at the end of the day--not from rubbing/blisters, but from the lack of arch support. For the money, I'm not sure I'd recommend them, especially for trails. I'm hiking Yosemite in a few months and will invest in some good insoles--hopefully that will help provide more support.

Great style but quality is a let down :(

First off—these run VERY small. Order at least one full size up. Finally got the right size and they are super comfy. Style is perfect. Happy, I immediately ordered a second pair to have grubby for yard work. Unfortunately, I’ve owned less than a month and they’re already falling apart. The rubber rand around the uppers has completely separated and all I’ve done is wheelbarrow bark dust in them. These are supposedly trail runners but are build for very casual wear :( I had fantastic luck with Solomon in the past (they were bombproof) and will be returning to that brand.

If Hot Mess was a running shoe

On cloud is a brand I have been loyal to for a few years now as a runner. I bought these last year and returned them twice. Unfortunately no one helped me choose the right shoe but I knew what I needed as I was helped the first time early in 2022 well by a great sale associate at the Basse location in San Antonio, TX. I usually buy a new pair every flyer just because I run often but also because my hips aren’t aligned and I often wear out my shoes within a year. Earlier this year, I wen to the Live Oak location and bought these. Immediately after only wearing them for three days, they started to show tear at the top of the shoe by the top loop. I went back and returned them. Figured it was just a defect so I returned them for the same item. Sales associate ... MoreOn cloud is a brand I have been loyal to for a few years now as a runner. I went back and returned them. Figured it was just a defect so I returned them for the same item. Sales associate recommended I not use that loop anymore but I told him that I prefer having my shoes laced to the top because I like a sturdy shoe with support. He shrugged and that was pretty much it. Not even three weeks later, I noticed that this show started to do the same, as well as the the fabric glue started to come up from the base of the shoe and the fabric. I took them back and exchanged them for so another product since they wouldn’t give me my full refund even though I had a receipt (they blamed it on AMEX even though it was within the 30 days). I ended up getting another brand and I have not been happy with my shoes. But I will say that these shoes are lovely and they definitely provide the support and cushioning one needs for running and as well as changing after a toddler. They are great if you have issues with lower back problems and need support, too. They just fall apart. Don’t know if it’s a defect or what, but I’m not taking the chance with them anymore.

Not so good
9 April 2024

I ended up ordering 3 pairs to get the right size. I usually wear a size 7.5 but the 7.5 and 8 in these shoes were too small and my toes hit the end of the show. The size 8.5 was just right in the toes but the shoes seem a bit wide. The tongue also sticks into my ankle when I wear my short socks which is slightly uncomfortable. I do like the color and look of the shoes, but I’m going to return them due to lack of comfort.

Poor quality for a terrible price!
22 May 2023

I really loved the comfort of these shoes from the get go. They had cushion and support. Upon getting them dirty I washed them per the usual instructions and noticed a small spot around the ankle where the fabric had worn. I had had the shoes no more than 3 months. Six months down the line and I had splits in the material in 4 places all over the shoes. I am so disappointed in the quality of the shoe given that they cost almost $150. I probably won't purchase this brand again because it isn't worth the price to have shoes showing major signs of wear and tear after only 3 months of purchase, when almost all the tread is still present on the bottom.

The best running shoes ever!
30 November 2023

My wife and I have several pairs of these running shoes and now we purchased them for my 10 year old daughter as she has been asking when she might get a pair. These shoes run a tad bit small (half size). They are super light and have good support. I find this model seems more durable than the Cloud 5 which usually only last me 4 or 5 months. My daughter usually takes a youth 3 but fits into a women’s 6.

These Ons are off

I bought these for trail runs in the tropical mountains just outside of Cali, Colombia where I live. There's significant uphill/downhill with small to medium rocks, big leaves and sticks, construction leftovers like tile, and lots of moisture which can cause mud or general slipperiness but that seemed like the point of getting these... While these won the wear test at my local running store in the States, I am finding that my Brooks Adrenaline 22's are the ones I'm reaching for on any run and they perform way better. Small rocks get stuck in the huge tread gap almost every time, and even if they don't, the shoes are so light that I feel every little detail which make my toes, feet and ankles sore which is not something I've felt before. I have almost twisted my ankle twice with these and not even on wet or muddy days. I don't care about how I look when I run, but I think the design and color schemes are pretty ugly so I can't even get away with using these as casual shoes either. They run very small, these are a full size larger than my usual.
