This was bought 2 years and 2 months ago. As you guess a 2 year warranty and no interest to fix it after it stopped working 1 month out from the 2 year period. You'd expect something that isn't used often to last a little longer. 11 years and still going strong for our Westinghouse hotplates.

This is the second Omega OC64KZ cooktop I've bought in 18 months because I was very satisfied with the first one which I had to leave in my previous apartment. For my new home I bought the same Omega cooktop to replace antiquated hot plates that were rusty and energy gobblers.
My preference was for knobs rather than push button as it can be difficult to turn the cook top on when you have wet/slippery hands. This cook top is great, was very easy installation by a qualified electrician.Cleaning is easy
Pros: Inexpensive but high quality cooktop that fit perfectly in the existing cutout. The shop tried to convince us to get the 70cm version to be sure the new one didn't fall through the existing hole but this fit perfectly saving is $200.Cons: Lower rating was because of the edge between cooktop and counter. Old one had a chrome bevel but this doesn't which increases the risk of chipping if something band into it, which isn't really likely to happen. Crumbs might build up in the crease but it's too early to tell... again probably won't be a problem.
I purchased my Omega cooktop on 2nd October 2020. The left hand front hotplate has never worked. I called you expecting to have it replaced, but no - Omega were contacted eventually to find someone in my area to replace the part. So far Nambour electrics have been to find out the part etc etc, and I'm still waiting nearly 4 months later for it to be replaced. So I can't give Appliances On line a great review. I was pleased with the way the hotplates heated up very quickly and was very easy to control the heat. I bought a new set of saucepans to use on the new hotplate but the first time I used it, the front small hotplate was left with two scratches on it. I followed all the instructions that came with the unit and bought and used Cerapol Ceramic glass & Induction cooktop cleaner which is the recommended product to clean the unit with but the scratches remain.
We bought this cooktop when we moved into our home to replace the existing cooktop.Such a good cooktop. Very reliable and very responsive. Would definitely get it again, and recommend it to others.Wanted something with knobs, as I don’t like touch controls.Great value for money for a great product! Very happy customer :-).
