Nuxe Reve De Miel Ultra-Nourishing Honey Lip Balm 15g

I think I may have found my new HG lip balm! Not only does this moisturize and help keep chapping at bay, it also leaves my lips looking more naturally pink then usual (possibly due to the lemon oil in it I'm guessing?). As a person very much into natural products this is right up my street with its fab ingredients list. Love the light orange-y/honey fragrance and the cute, elegant jar it comes in, also the fact that despite its thickness it leaves my lips nice and matte, and not oily looking. I use a small spatula to scoop it out, as I do with any facial care products that come in a jar, because I don't find jar packaging's all that sanitary. When purchasing this be sure to check for expiry date as these don't have such a long shelf life. Effectiveness:\nI have a crack on the side of my lips and it is quite painful, I applied this and it helped soothe it. (not sure how long it will help heal it) \n\nThe texture is light and you'll barely notice you have it on your lips. I liked how long it has hydrated my lips too, it also doesn't look like I ate lechon with it. \n\nLastly, I have sensitive lips (allergic to even Avene lip balm), but this works for me. So, yehey! \n\nMy only wish is that it's tube counterpart is as effective as this for hygiene purposes. (reviews says otherwise that's why I opted to try this pot instead).

2nd jar

I'm just here to buy my 2nd jar of this before I run out - nice to see it on sale too! I don't know why I bought it before with all the lip products I have, but I began using it almost every night and still do. I keep the jar (still in the box) on my nightstand, and a small cosmetic spatula fits right in box with it keeping it all neat and tidy. All I know is I don't suffer from dry, chapped or flaky lips and I wake up with soft slightly plump lips (I'm 64). It has a little bit of grit or honey crystals in it, so I get a bit of exfoliation while rubbing it in. I've never used it in the daytime, but might try that. Reading the reviews, I'm also going to start using it on my cuticles at night! Changed the formula and it's awful

Ugh. This used to be my go to lip balm but they changed the formula. Chapsticks and most other lip balms have alcohol in them, so they dry out your lips, forcing you to apply more so you use more product and end up in a cycle where you have to use chapstick/balm to moisturise your lips as they dry them out. This left my lips soft and flake free as a night treatment, and in the coldest of winters I rarely needed to reapply. Now it’s like every other lip balm. The texture is smoother, and it feels nicer, but it doesn’t last as long, it’s not as moisturising, and you end up reapplying constantly.

Didn't really do much

It has a bit of a thick texture to it that is almost coarse, I really am not a big fan will not be repurchasing. Also did not feel like it helped moisturise my lips that much. I would put it on and feel it on my lips for a while without feeling like it did much. Definitely felt very matte so if you like that texture then give it a go, I was looking for something that helped my lips feel as moisturised as my face after my overnight oil and eye cream but it rlly made very little difference.The scent is nice though and I did like that the ingredients felt natural. However, no, my lips definitely did not feel "nourished".

Feels nicer than other lip balms I've tried

This is an amazing little product. The balm is kind of thick - a bit like set honey, but definitely not sticky. It goes on super smoothly and has a delicate but very pleasing smell and tastes nice too. It kind of fills the ridges in my lips.You can add a bit of sugar and make yourself an exfoliating balm to remove dead skin. I haven't tried this yet as that's a bit too much messing about for my liking, but I'm sure it would be quite effective.I had chemotherapy a few years ago and it made my skin extremely dry. This is the best thing that I've used to try and get my lips back to normal again.I wear lipstick on top of it in the day and put loads on at night for an extra treat. I find myself reaching for it as soon as I get out of the shower because of how nice ... MoreThis is an amazing little product. I recently finished a pot of Nuxe lip balm that I bought in Paris last year and as this was on promotion, I thought I would buy it. Although it is still a very pleasant product to use, the new formula is not a patch on the original! This one goes on 'thinner' and has much more slip and shine than the old formula. The old formula went on matte and stayed on the lips for hours. It felt buttery and was perfect to apply lipstick over. This one is shiny and lasts about 2 -3 hours on me. I don't think it will do the heavy duty job that the original one did in the autumn and winter but it is still very pleasant to use though now I would classify it as one of the better lip balms to use instead of 'the best' which was how I described it previously. Sensational

My thyroid has died recently, so my lips have taken a real hit with dryness and cracking. I have tried practically everything out there! Then I found this little pot of gold. It's brought so much moisture back to my lips, I absolutely love it. A beautiful creamy texture, it's light, doesn't run and is long lasting. I've been using it 4 times a day, sometimes more and you only need a teeny weeny bit. The fragrance is heaven! I would a million % recommend this to men and women, you will not be disappointed in the slightest. And a very good price! A proper glass pot too, so what's not to like! Simply the best!

If I had to choose 1 product I wouldn’t be without this is it. I currently have 1 in my bathroom, 1 in my living room and 5 brand new in my stash! If I’m out of the house I use it in the stick form…..I currently have 1 in my bag and 4 brand new in my stash. For me it’s the only balm that I’ve ever used that keep my lips so hydrated. Before bed I apply a very thick layer and in the morning my lips are beautifully soft. I tend to suffer cracking at the corners of my lips but not any more. I find the stick form not as good at night but it’s great during the day and especially when out of the house as I would never use the pot outside. I don’t get the scent of honey from it but I can smell the orange and it’s divine! Sweet smelling and long lasting

I've been meaning to move away from plastic lip balm sticks and this small glass jar is a great alternative. Not quite as convenient to slip into your jeans pocket but that's neither here nor there! I often don't like beauty products in small jars as you end up getting it mostly underneath your fingernails but this honey balm container has a wide mouth, so it's easy to apply to just your fingertips. The packaging is made from recyclable materials and NUXE sponsors beehives to participate in the protection of bees - two great sustainable initiatives.The honey scent is really lovely - sweet, yet natural (90% of its ingredients are of natural origin) - but what I especially like is the product doesn't have a taste.
