It can definitely get better if they work at fixing the bugs that have been introduced with this iteration of updates.For those wanting to use it for the auto great ball and ultra ball feature, you might be a little disappointed like I was. I thought it was adding the functionality of auto catching with the other ball types. Instead it uses it when you enable the feature and press the button on the device. It forces you to always keep the device on hand to push the button. Although it's a satisfying click, having it vibrating and LED going off in your hand as you walk definitely gets a few head turners.I also recommend for other customers if they do not want a vibration that is stronger than controllers/phones to be hitting your leg every second due to the device to wait for updates. There's currently no way to turn off the LED (it's extremely bright) or decrease the limit of the vibration feature. It always works at max brightness or vibration which is irritating while walking with the device or when trying to sleep.Would I recommend this device to those that want or need an auto catcher? Yes as it does what it advertises and works most of the time. Is it a must have for people on the fence or for people that have other auto catchers? No, not really. The older auto catchers unfortunately have the same bugs introduced with updates that the plus plus has causing you to miss catches anyway. So if you are planning on getting it to fix that, it won't help.

Three times so far I've been able to turn off the device and then restart it over the course of a single night. While there are solutions to this problem it really should be something included with the device; say using the additional buttons to "lock" the device to prevent entering or exiting sleep sessions.While I'll probably use it every day; I do feel unless the Sleep app will be used that the additional features don't benefit that much in Pokemon Go. As I cannot unpair this device without forcing a factory reset, my original Go+ is attached to an iPhone.

It does exactly what I paid for. All these negative reviews complaining about personal minor inconveniences. This device works as intended, I catch crazy amounts of Pokémon a day while at work or on the go (I’ve purchased 300 poke balls in one day due to running out) I like how while I’m driving around it will spin poke stops for me. If you play Pokémon sleep it’s worth the upgrade from a Pokémon go plus.

The manual has instructions for putting the device into silent mode, but apparently this only works for the Pokémon Sleep app. The lights are bright and the vibration is loud and strong, which will unnecessarily drain your battery, and it's annoying. I've already had the device vibrate itself off a table. At least it didn't break. Hopefully silent mode will be available in Pokémon GO in a future update.2. The device will not alert you when your Pokémon storage is full.3. The device will not alert you when your item bag is full.4. The device will not alert you when it loses the connection with your phone.5. The device will alert you every single time you're near a Pokémon or Pokéstop, which is annoying and useless.6. The recommended charger (model CLV-003) is not included, and only has an output of 7.5 watts. So, even though it charges through USB C, it charges slowly. The USB C charger that comes with the Nintendo Switch has much higher output, but it may fry the device. I'm not going to test it.7. The battery is not removable, but in fairness most auto catchers do not have a removable battery. My previous auto catcher uses AAA batteries, which is super convenient.8. Pokémon Sleep app is available, but not in Canada. It's not clear if/when it will be available.Conclusion:This device will shake and light up whenever you're near a Pokémon or Pokéstop, which is useless information and cannot be disabled. But, it will NOT let you know if your storage is full, or your item bag is full, or it loses its connection. This is REALLY important information, and I'm very surprised that these basic functions aren't there. I'm also very surprised that you can't put the device in silent mode while playing Pokémon GO. It's very difficult for me to recommend this device.
I was very excited to pick up my new Pokemon go plus+ last Saturday. I've had it for just a few days but my excitement has subsided. In Auto catch mine keeps reverting back to the basic ball. This is making me think about just going back to my basic original Auto catcher.Finally and the biggest issue for me, apparently there is no way to turn the buzzing feature off. I have searched and apparently, there is no way to do this other than to remove the vibration motor. I am hoping that Niantic comes out with an update to be able to turn this off. You might not think it's much of an issue but it is Extremely Loud and obnoxious. Even with it in my pocket, people around me get annoyed and distracted by the constant buzzing. If I put it on a surface it will literally vibrate itself off and fall on the floor.My hope is that Niantic will create a page on their website with better, more extensive directions/better FAQs, have an update to allow a selection of great and ultra balls in auto-catch or have better direction on how to use them, and, finally and the big one for me, an update to allow us to turn the buzzing OFF!

This autocatcher is AMAZING in Go! So, I have the poke ball also; so, I’m basing my comparison on the former licensed Nintendo product and the latter. This thing catches much better than it’s predecessor. I can spin stops while in a car doing approx 50mph. I do not have to slow down and approach to place a Pokémon in a gym (can now be done pretty easily while driving by). To compare, I could never have achieved the amazing results I’m getting with the new catcher with my old poke ball . Catching is random, and I catch a bunch and lose some—no worries there. As for the Pokémon Sleep game, I’ve slept with it 3 nights now, and I can’t complain of any issues with the device. I use a king size pillow, and I think the length probably helps to provide it extra space to keep it properly functional (no slipping off pillow). I also snagged a silicone case to help keep it in place on my pillow. Again, I haven’t had any issues with mine; so, maybe these tips might help if issues arise with yours. And I rigged my clip a certain way when clipped to my pillow (which I’ll picture). 😉 As for the game, I dig it. It’s chill, and I’m loving the *fun* insights about my sleep. This is my third day in a row using this device and app, and I have accrued 4 helper Pokémon: a Pikachu, cyndaquil, bulbasaur A, and bulbasaur B. Game progression feels solid and enjoyable—good job devs. In summation—I love mine, and I’m happy with the purchase.
