It delivers exceptional image quality, with rich details and vibrant colors and the Z30's 4K resolution brings these moments to life in a way that still photos simply cannot. The vari-angle touchscreen allows me to frame my shots perfectly. The touchscreen is responsive and intuitive, making it a breeze to navigate the camera's settings. One aspect I particularly appreciate is the camera's low-light performance. The Z30's sensor performs admirably in challenging lighting conditions, allowing me to capture crisp and detailed footage in any scenario. While the built-in stereo microphone captures decent audio, I would have loved to see a more advanced microphone included in the kit. However, the camera does offer the option to attach an external microphone, which greatly enhances the audio quality. In summary, this is a great camera for vloggers. It's easy to use, captures high quality videos and has lots of features to make your content look and sound awesome.

I have previously only used Sony and Canon cameras, this is the first Nikon camera I have used and it certainly matches up to the others. The Nikon camera is very easy to set up and is very user friendly. This package comes with an easy to use remote that handily clips in to the tripod grip. I 'road tested' the camera on a recent trip to Northumberland and I was impressed with the quality of the photographs and videos taken, the audio quality of the videos is great, easily picking up bird song or the sound of a small stream babbling along. The camera is light compared to others I have used in the past which made it easy to carry around on our hiking trails.Since getting back from holiday, I have used this camera several times at work to create a couple of vlogs and ... MoreI have previously only used Sony and Canon cameras, this is the first Nikon camera I have used and it certainly matches up to the others. The quality of the video gave an instant 'professional' feel to the videos.I would have no hesitation recommending this product to anyone.

The Z30 is a beginner level camera but offers lots features seen in other cameras in the Nikon range, and would make a good upgrade for someone using a smart phone for their photos and videos. The camera shoots 4K video using the full sensor which is not the case with some rivals. This gives good framing with the supplied lens. Using the image stabilisation, which you might need if you're recording on the move, causes the image to be cropped, so a gimbal would be useful if your videos are active. The body is made from magnesium-allow and feels really sturdy. The grip is comfortable whichever side of the camera you are on.There's no viewfinder so you'll be making use of the variable angle screen to frame your shots. I initially struggled to memorise how to adjust all the settings but I think this would improve over time as you get used to what you regularly tweak. The screen goes into a selfie mode when flipped around, showing simple on-screen controls to make using the touch screen easier when recording yourself. There's also a tally lamp to easily see if the camera is recording. One downside is that there's no headphone jack. This means the only way to monitor the audio whilst recording is via the level indicators on the screen.I've found the camera enjoyable to use, and appreciate that it can grow with me as I learn more about photography and video recording.

Pros:- reversible screen to take selfie- amazing quality video- amazing sound out of the bat- comes with tripod and remote which is great for recording myself- super light and easy to carry- can be used as a webcam- can transfer pix and video via Bluetooth, so convenient for usCons:- not many choice of lens for portrait- can't take a picture through a mirror only through the screen- tripod and remote is great but not a must, would recommend buying the camera only but of course depends on your needs- no flash by default
The Nikon Z30 camera is a nifty update to my heavy old Nikon D50 camera. It is lightweight enough to be comfortable around my neck for hours.I have small hands but felt in control of handling this camera when out and about. The screen giving you the touch focus and all the information was great but when I was in bright sunshine I needed to shade the screen to see it better which made me reminisce for a viewfinder. The screen's ability to tilt is practical and makes setting up and using the tripod quick. It is intuitive to point and shoot due to all the auto settings. Plugging it in to charge and upload your day's efforts was easy. I found the sound quality extraordinary capturing early evening bird song in startling clarity as this had not been the subject of my ... MoreThe Nikon Z30 camera is a nifty update to my heavy old Nikon D50 camera. It is an enjoyable camera to use.
This is a great 'Streetshooter' that is compact, subtle, lightweight, feels great ergonomically and looks beautiful. The camera offers great image quality even in low light and captures colors well in landscape and urban settings. It has an impressive autofocus - face, eyes and object detection is on point. It has high quality video specs which provide crisp and clean video content. The onboard audio is also solid. The lens which is interchangeable is really good and gives super wide & close ups in one. The camera battery charges very quickly. A nice touch, which I love with the camera, is the flip out screen to the side. This can be rotated without causing any obstruction and allows you to capture low and high angle shots. The screen on the back has touch ... MoreThis is a great 'Streetshooter' that is compact, subtle, lightweight, feels great ergonomically and looks beautiful. The camera offers great image quality even in low light and captures colors well in landscape and urban settings. The camera has a wireless function so you can transfer your photos and videos to your phone from the camera using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The optional handle is handy to use as a vlogging stick and the Bluetooth remote allows you to control the camera from far away. This camera does not have a viewfinder (EVF) or flash. The benefit of the camera having a flat top means these can be bought separately and cheaply as an accessory if you need it. Whilst there is an input for an external microphone, there is no headphone output, so you cannot monitor your audio. The camera is a dream to use. What's not to love. For Vlogging, YouTube content creators and just overall video, this camera smashes it. It is great as a lifestyle, sports or wildlife camera. There is a lot of potential in the camera system and I would recommend investing some time learning how to get the most of it.
As someone that travels a lot, goes to a lot of trade shows, as well as other events, and likes photography, I wanted a camera that was light, but also a perfect camera for on the go. The Nikon Z30 ticks a lot of boxes. It is slightly bigger than an average compact, but carries a really good sensor. There is no viewfinder, but that is a perfectly acceptable trade-off. I like a viewfinder, but I understand this was one of the compromises. This is a camera to shoot VLOGs, to quickly get out and shoot something, which is what I wanted. It is super small. The kit lens is the perfect size. It really is a camera for those who want just a bit more than their phone. I like Nikon camera's. It is part of a new part of the market that is looking to appears to vloggers and travel enthusiasts, so a relatively new category, that so far has been dominated by Sony. But, I like this camera a lot in my early use of it. I haven't tried doing an actual vlog yet, but I will do at some point. But, I think this camera hits a sweet spot of being super easy to use, but offering a good deal of quality for the price.
