2nd pair of these for me as an easy high mileage day shoe. The foam is great and still feels good after 300 miles. The laces occasionally hit the top of my foot weird and I have to re-tie mid run, but that’s about it on the feel side.My only complaint is the plastic heel counter split on both shoes on my first pair and so far I shoe on this pair. It doesn’t impact the run, but is irritating. The first pair was retired at 400 miles because the sharp edge was eventually poking through. I was very careful with this pair and always tied/untied them then off and on. I’ve read of other people with this problem as well. Hopefully I’ll get many more miles out of them before this becomes a comfort problem. Hopefully NB fixes this in the next version.

I LOVED my V10! So much that I had 4 pairs in different colors. I'm a size 12 Narrow typically but in the V10 I was able to do 11.5 (standard) and it fit perfectly - nice and snug. The v11 not so much and I'm sad. Considering the v10 fit so well I ordered 4 pair of the v11 only to have them too short and I had to return them all, costing me over $50. Lesson learned! I then tried the size 12 in Narrow, which only comes in black (very sad) and they still are too roomy in the toe box and I have to use the 2nd hold to make a loop for a snug fit on my heel. I'm so bummed that they changed this design. I also will say it definitely doesn't feel as foamy or as much cushion. I'm disappointed. I should have bought several in v10 and just kept them in closet.

I like the shoes, this is my third pair. They fit my crazy feet and handle my orthotics well. Disappointed that the right shoe has a small hole in the top of the shoe, just below where the laces start. I'm keeping them because I believe they were the last pair. Just hoping the hole doesn't get bigger, so far it's staying the same.

I purchased a pair of Fresh Foam 1080v11 as a gift for my sister and she is still raving about them. The fit and function is top-notch. The color and design is flashy and appealing. But the most important factors to me were the price, free shipping, and ease of ordering. I will certainly look to Joe's New Balance Outlet first for future shoe purchases. THANK YOU!
After 2 great-fitting pairs of 1080v10s the style was discontinued so I ordered the 1080V11. The length is good with lots of toe room and the width is perfect through the midfoot area. HOWEVER the heel cup area has changed and the back of the V11 is about a 1/2 inch lower over my heel than the V10. Even with tightened laces my heel slips out of the V11. Very disappointed I will need to return and search for a new style of workout shoes.
Update several months into their use. Original review below. Unfortunately, the internal material of the heel splits on both shoes. Therefore they slip around a lot now. Did not even get a year out of them=======These are like walking on clouds! I suffered from tarsal tunnel syndrome with my old running shoes. So far these look to have more or less knocked that on the head :-)At first, I was not sure about them as the heel did not seem to quite wrap around my rather large heels, but this is not an issue as the material at the heel is so smoothly sculptured.Certainly the most different and best running shoe I have ever owned.
Over the years I have had to gravitate to shoes with more cushioning. No more racing flats for me. The 1080 has been a shoe I have used for many years for ez runs and mileage. The v8 was a bit clunky but comfy and with the v9 NB start to sleek it down and it also became more cushioned. The fit on both these versions were pretty good. Then came the v10 and the strange rear heal area. Had to pass on these and returned them bad fit. Finally the v11 came out with a redesigned rear portion of the shoe. They look and fit like the beacon which I also own a pair. They are also lighter and the cushion seems to have increased in terms of bouncyness. If you are just walking they seem more awkward than running. Running is a pleasure. Love the cushioning. The uppers are top ... MoreOver the years I have had to gravitate to shoes with more cushioning. No more racing flats for me. The uppers are top notch, breathable and no hot spots. The fit is excellent. These shoes are easy to take off and on with my bungee laces. The inside of the tongue has what looks like an unfinished seam, pretty sloppy but it didn't create any rubbing or other issues. Just seams weird that compared to the beacon which has a nice finish NB couldn't do the same for a much more expensive shoe. I really would give the. 4.5 stars
Yes I am very happy with the new balance fresh foam 1080 shoes. The online customer service was exceptional with helping me select these shoes. As a middle-age runner I always have fond memories of running in the cushiony new balance shoes of the 90s. New balance is back with their traditional, cushiony, springy feel. The shoe has sufficient support for the middle distance miles that I log. Finally, I do like the construction of the heel which hugs the foot without being too tight. I do find that I have less instances of road debris getting into the back of my shoes. Thanks again and congratulations to new balance. Eric
These shoes boasted a fit that was snug and supportive and hugged your heel. Well these did just the opposite for me...the heel fit was so uncomfortable/sloppy. Now I have two pair of shoes to return at my own cost. Not a happy runner...no shoes and out my own hard earned money, too. Try before you buy! I have to say the toe box area is pretty roomy and the foot bed feels good. Sad to return such a cute shoe, but comfort is key.
Very light and comfortable shoe. I try to retire my shoes at 400 miles but the 1080s (I have two pair) needed to be retired in the high 200s. Granted I kept them a long time >10 months since I run lower mileage now and I weight 230. I have gotten 400 miles from Brooks Levitate. Thought I would go in a new direction to On Cloud Monsters. Wonderful but need to test durability. I will always like NB, despite my experience.
