Truly superb quality in all aspects. Materials, build and finish all excellent. Unfortunately I had to return mine as they came up a little small. I usually take a size 11uk but could have gone a full size bigger. Shame really as uk12 was not available. Would highly recommend the 574H but give some thought to the size issue I encountered.

Never knew a mid-cut 574 even existed. Going up half a size fits me perfectly, without the need to get a wide. My foot is right at the edge of being wide. For reference, my true to size (9.5) in a 574 WIDE is a tad too wide for my tastes. My 574 Standard width was a tad too snug. But 10 standard feels great! Compared to the 550, I'm not experiencing any heel lift in these, which I'm very pleased about, even when rocking these casually (loose lacing). The tongue is quite stiff at first, but after breaking them in, they don't dig into your shin as sharply. As far as colorway, I like the minimalist look of these... would cop these again!

Never wrote a review before but these are easily the most uncomfortable shoe I've ever worn. Got them for work and after wearing them for 2 days my feet are in pain. My arch is sore, my heels are sore and the tongue is stiff and digs into your ankle. Never experienced anything like this. Went with New Balance because I thought it would be a comfortable and affordable brand but I would've been better off getting a new pair of crocs for half the price. Would love a refund but I'm sure it'd just be a big hassle. Don't buy this model. (Yes I bought the right size.)

I bought a pair of these a few months back on a whim. I enjoy their fit and find them to be comfortable, but about a month in I noticed a sort of squeaking/popping noise in the left sole, and it's worsening day by day. Another issue I have is anytime you are out in wet weather, the shoes squeak like crazy on store floors and it takes a good amount of drying or walking around before it goes away. I'm sure my pair is defective, but overall they're a quality shoe and comfortable.
I purchased these 574h mid tops to wear during my rigorous work days as a FedEx Express courier. I've worn the 574 and 515's for years. I'm liking every aspect of these shoes except that the souls seem to be extremely slick on all surfaces. Never had that problem with my others. Great all around shoe though as I expected.
I purchased the 574 high tops not expecting to like them very much. Seemed a little like a gimmick to make a high top version of the venerable 574 Classic. I put them on and wore them for a day. Surprise, I really liked them. Nice support, comfortable, and stylish. I liked them so much that I purchased another pair in black. They fit to size, they are attractive, and a great everyday shoe. Not a serious hiking boot but a lightweight shoe that is fun to wear.
I purchased the black on black in size 5. I wear women's 6.5 wide, and I prefer how the standard men's 5 fit. The length and width are perfect. In fact, I prefer the men's styles and color ways over the women's...they don't have all these crazy pops of color. Anyways, since I've received these, I've worn them plenty to work and gym. They seem to go with everything! I'm eyeing the new tan color, but we'll see. Don't hesitate to buy!
I have loved 574's for years based on pure comfort! One of the most comfortable sneakers ever!! These now in a mid with the added ankle support are next level. A new classic shoe staple I will always need.I bought the black ones and green ones out of the store and ordered these tans direct from NB.I'm ready to keep on collecting and wearing as much as possible. I'm ready to be a spokes person for NB with these. LolPut me in a commercial 😂
I've been wearing 574's since 2002. Always have 1 or 2 pairs in rotation. I've never tried the 574H's until now. I like how they have a little more support. I work in a hospital as an RN, and these are they new work shoes. The regular 574's have proven to provide comfort all day while on your feet, no back or knee pain. So far these have proven to be the same. I'll be grabbing another pair for when these wear out. Only suggestion is that I would like to see some new colors, but have no complaints about the green.
Absolutely love the natural leather looks of the brown pair. Comfortable on foot but needs a proper break-in period as its a hard wearing shoe. Use thick socks that run high though. The tongue chafed my forward ankle area and rubbed them raw. Grip also wasn't all that great on greasy, iced-up surfaces. Not Ultraboost scary but enough to make you think twice before jumping on wet pavers or cobble stones. Still rate them highly though as they look really nice.
