The hard light soft light is a gimmick to me simply because the hard light is almost unusable due to the LED separation creating the 3 shadow effect. The soft light might be too soft.Otherwise a good light to have in the Nanlite collection that is growing in my go bag. My other beef is the one modifier this light has. One of two within the whole product line. The barn doors have to be screwed on with huge screws as if its a 15x15 or something. This is a small 7 light yet you need to screw them on making them semi-permanent due to you can't just take them off and although the 11 is the same size as the 11C the modifier only works with the 11C?? what?? anyway i'm a fan and if you don't mind the lack of modifiers and or create your own this light won't disappoint. ...
