These are very finely chopped and taste delicious. I have taken one star off because at this premium price I would have expected there to be no skins included in the tin, which are mixed with the pulp, therefore impossible to remove, without sieving. Maybe I'm over fussy but I always remove the skin from tinned tomatoes.

I would usually not be too fussed about a staple ingredient such as chopped tomatoes, but these make a real difference to a dish. There is such a dramatic difference in flavour and texture of the tomatoes - I've tried them side by side with the ordinary chopped tomatoes I'd buy. The texture is wonderful, and they are much sweeter, less astringent. Makes all the difference to a soup, sauce. Since they are more expensive, I try and buy these when they are on offer. Definitely worth it if you can.

Mutti is my absolute favourite of all canned/bottled tomato products. Their products are superb, and you can taste the difference, especially when making pasta sauce, cooked for a few hours. We use the finely chopped tomatoes for veg pasta sauce, with chickpeas or lentils and orzo and the passata for meat sauces. Very pricey but definitely worth it, so makes perfect sense to stock up when it'รรดs on offer.

After seeing on a food show a few years back that all chopped tomatoes were basically the same tin with a different label I have been buying whichever were the best value. I do always check the label and the theory had held true. Most tins are very similar percentages of water and tomatoes. Not these though, they have the highest percentage of chopped tomatoes than any other brand I've come across. And it shows in the taste of my food. Much more flavour and far less water. My only issue is that I am now converted to only wanting to use Mutti tomatoes but they're triple the price of normal ones. Ocado seem to do well at tempting me with offers that I then want to continue buying once the offer has ended as the product is so good
I bought these based on the good reviews, plus they were on offer. They are excellent - no hard bits or skin, just lovely smooth tomato. Made a delicious chilli - one portion we've just enjoyed for supper and three portions in the freezer. I'll always buy these in future.
I won't use anything else! I am of Italian descent my father being the typical Italian home chef and I have now converted him to these tins too. You can't beat proper Italian made jar tomatoes from the annual Italian September making sessions in Italy but these tins are rich, smooth, vibrant and sweet which makes they perfect to use.
I cook with a lot of tinned tomatoes. I would say the vast majority of tins, from Savers ranges all the way through to Supermarket Own best-of ranges, has little difference in terms of quality. But these tinned tomatoes are miles ahead in terms of quality. Yes, they are considerably more expensive, but you can taste that difference. I will splash out on these tomatoes from now on because they elevate all dishes I've cooked with them in.
I have bought mutti for a long time. I the last year the quality has taken a very watery turn. They used to be very rich and thick. They now have been watered down so much. They don't deserve the taste rating. Will be trying other brands or use whole tinned tomatoes.
This brand was recommended by a top chef on tv some time ago and when I next needed to re-stock, I bought them even though they were more expensive than other brands. What a difference - I could hardly believe it. Will buy only this brand in the future. Well worth the extra. More flavour, more intense, less watery, more consistent . . . I could go on. Suffice to say - they are notably different.
I am glad these are on offer again. I have been trying to cut back and save money on the food shop. However so many tinned tomatoes we have tried are not very nice bland flavour or vinegar taste. So I won't be using the cheaper brands for tinned tomatoes. As soon as you open these the smell is lovely! I can make tasty soups and sauces at home so saves money that way.
