The shelter I worked at got a donation of a bunch of these toys (regular and mini sizes). Almost every dog /loved/ them. If you were trying to entice a dog into playing, you'd automatically grab a lamb chop. However, none of the regular sized toys were long-lived as the face was surprisingly easy to rip open. It's made of a light weight chenille yarn over a layer of interfacing which is pretty easily torn, even by toy breeds. It's worth noting that the faces on the mini and jumbo sizes are made of a different material and are more durable.I still liked the toy enough that I bought one for my own dog knowing I'd need to replace the face. The obsession my dog has with lamb chops should be studied at this point. As a result I always grab one every time I see a new variation. This one is quite a bit bigger than she’s use to but it quickly became her fave. After a day of play I realized there was a hole in its back where the squeaker is. I chalked it up up me not inspecting it thoroughly before purchasing and orders another one. Few days later same exact issue. Now this wouldn’t be surprising if I had a super chewer but we’re talking about a 10lb shih tzu who happens to be a senior citizen. She’s got toys 5 years old and this one can’t seem to last a week. For the price I’ll probably still buy more since she’s so fond of it but it’s still very disappointing.

This is the 2nd one purchased; hoping the one purchased at 2023 Christmas-time was a fluke. Nope! For some unknown reason, a yellow "Squeeze Me! I Squeak!" sticker is placed on top. Attempts to cut it off my first one simply led to weakening of the threads/material, while leaving it on my second, newly purchased one simply led to my dogs trying to chew it off, thus weakening the threads material. In addition, the seams of this toy simply split and pull apart with just the gentlest of tugging. HORRIBLE CONSTRUCTION - HORRIBLE STICKER PLACEMENT - DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY on this waste. Best of luck with your other purchases! :-)

So frustrating. 5 lb dog who has never torn up any other toys in the past year, destroyed 2 of these both in just minutes. She loved the first one, ran around with it in her mouth and then started shaking it. Next thing I knew the seam on it's back popped open and she had a mouth full of stuffing. I stitched it closed because she like it so much, then the neck seam popped open. A couple days later, I bought a second one, same brand, different size and had the same issue. Definitely would not recommend. Our little girl loved them, but horrible quality.

He loves all the squeakers in it and taking his time slowly ripping it apart and throwing Lamb Chop all over the place including outside to taunt the squirrels. I just bought him his 9th one over the past year. Now I know you must be thinking why buy this soft fuzzy squeaky toy only to have it ripped up? Well because Luigi loves it and I love the joy it brings him and it's fun to watch him with it. Besides I have spent money on stuffed toys for "aggressive chewers" and guess what? Luigi rips those up too. No stuffed toy is safe in our house but he loves Lamb Chop the best and Lamb Chop is at a better price point. i had bought one of these to give to my new dog as i picked her up from the shelter. she loved it so much she totally destuffed it within 2 days. after a month or so and lots of training for this husky mix, i got her a new one. she was better and this was her "baby". i sewed it up many times but as of the picture here, it was time to say good bye & get a new baby. she really loves this toy, it has squeakers in the front and back legs and a larger one in the middle. Becca wakes me up every morning by bringing baby onto the bed and squeaking it! I do wish they would last a bit longer to a big chewer, but i will continue to get her one as each ones becomes destroyed beyond recognition or repair. maybe a sewing kits included would be nice too! LOL

Sometimes he carries it around like it’s his “baby”, and sometimes shakes it to death like it is “prey”.He is NOT much of a chewer though, and I would NOT recommend this toy to someone with a breed known to be an “enthusiastic” chewer (especially retrievers & retriever mixes). One of these toys last us about 8-10 mos. before stuffing starts to come out, and I either mend toy or discard. Do watch out for small holes that can work their way into larger ones, enabling a squeaker to come out. Could be a choking hazard or cause intestinal obstruction if actually eaten. But there seems plenty of time to notice small holes developing, before one actually comes out. My puppers "Jueta" pronounced whet-ah, instantly fell in love with the mini sized lambchop & carried it around like it was her own newborn pup. Although she did "kill it" by chewing a hole to remove all 5 squeekers (4 feet + body). I then came across a bit larger one about the size of a 3mo old pup. She did the same thing. Please keep in mind, although they are missing a limb or two, she still has her "babies" and treats them as such. Like most Mama dogs, she doesn't want anyone just taking them from her, and will avoid giving them to you. She also will sleep with it under her chin as though she is protecting it from a pupnapper. I recently purchased this XL Lambchop as a Christmas gift for my "Jueta-boo" and thank goodness ... NO SQUEEKERS! Not at all, she snuggles with it, chews on it, takes it outside, and brings Lambchop to bed. It is her absolute favorite stuffy. So much so, I’ve mended it over and over again. As once she finds a weak seam, out comes the fluff; until Momma takes it away for repairs.She loves Lambchop so much, we keep two new ones available all the time, so when one does wear out, another is waiting for her.

When removed, AGAIN, all squeakers through same routine with 10+ squeaks each. LC#1 needed immediate surgery at first wash, loose knit hoof's needed to be stitched, major surgery on tongue/face (SugarPie questioned my license to practice surgery). LC#! needs minor adjustments at ear and knit face.
