Milano 3M Outdoor Umbrella Cantilever With Protective Cover - Grey

Shorter than it looks in the photo and I still cant work out how to turn/move the umbrella for the sun movement. It is stuck in one position, thus pretty useless as a cantilever. I have never purchased a cantilever that does not rotate... the instruction video seems to show a different umbrella and there were not instructions included. Looking at the instructions online is also useless as the image is so small and blurry it is impossible to identify the parts.

After reading the previous reviews, I decided to take a risk on this umbrella as the positives far outweighed the negatives. I was wrong.The product snapped in the exact same way that was described in another review. The nut that secures the umbrella to the base pole snapped. There was no wind or impact damage that could have caused this.I then noticed that the pole was bending at the base joint.This was a very weak, poorly constructed product that is not even worth the cheaper price. You'd be better off standing under a tree.

I ordered this umbrella to replace one I already had. It was three years old and had served us well. The replacement umbrella was fine except the box was missing a key component of the stand structure. As we already had one , we were able to make do, using the existing base which was already fixed to our deck. If this had been our first umbrella, I would have had to contact the company to get the missing piece. It would have taken a while to figure out why it wouldn’t stand up,properly!

Everything was as described, but the quality is quite flimsy and definitely not made for more than small wind gusts. We use bungee straps to tie ours down, but we can't use it if the wind is more than very subtle. The fabric is good, but the metal is thin. It is also quite challenging to maneuver and impossible to assemble for one person alone. I guess you get what you pay for, so the quality is not unreasonable for the price.

Quality is nice, the umbrella is easy to set up and locking mechanism is a little hard to put on. However the hold for the lock is great once it's clamped down. Looks good and very happy with my purchase. Only thing the cover that I received with the product didn't fit the umbrella, so consider buying one!

Made in China & sold by Taiwanese company thru MyDeal. Claim theyve sold 4,000+ ... if so, how come when they send me two idential pieces for the base that should be a crossover arrangement, but is not and is not usable as a base, they ONLY offer a small discount / refund & suggest you go out and buy a base from a local store. No-one just sells matching bases. It is useless. And MyDeal is of no use whatsoever. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

Happy with the purchase process with Deal but the quality of the Milano cantilever umbrella is very poor. What do they say ‘poor man pays twice’. I paid $99 thinking I was getting a bargain but it is poor quality fabric and it doesn’t sit in the arms of the umbrella so I have to the fabric each time before I wind it up. Please don’t buy this product if you think you are getting a good buy for money. My previous Bunnings cheaper one was much better quality… or better save up and get a better quality one altogether!

Only tried this as it was in a sale. We used it for 6 days. Very flimsy. Metal base scratched our Travertine tiles. Tried recommended weights to weigh down, had to add more as it blew over in a slight breeze.Ended up with 120kg in weight to anchor but still blew over in a breeze - not a hectic wind - and twisted under the weights.Got 2 stars because I liked the look of it.

Very good value for money. Not the strongest or most robust of shade umbrellas I have ever seen but at a 'shade' over $100 is perfectly fine. Does need 4 pavers to weigh it down to floor, or if you are confident of its position, could be screwed down I guess. A set of instructions would have been nice to give a step by step guide to up and down procedure without the risk of breaking something but figured it out without any damage. Overall dont expect to last more than a few years but at the price is good.

The umbrella cover has not been made long enough to provide weather protection to the winding mechanism, also the cover stitching is stressed as it is tight around the umbrella and upon winding up the umbrella this one won’t wind up into the pivot point connection. The product’s QA requires more attention however the price was good.
