I had a genuine M65 combat jacket in the 80s unfortunately after many years service it accidentally got sent to a charity shop. Looked around to replace it and have to say this jacket is every bit as good as the genuine article, I might go so far as to say better as the zip that encloses the hood is better, and the pockets are slightly deeper. The material and fitting are great and I hope this lasts me as well as the last Great value and quality product!

The jacket is also super warm with the liner - great product.

Looked around to replace it and have to say this jacket is every bit as good as the genuine article, I might go so far as to say better as the zip that encloses the hood is better, and the pockets are slightly deeper. The material and fitting are great and I hope this lasts me as well as the last Great value and quality product!

I have owned a real one of these for about 30 years, ever since I was given it by a friend in the USAF and it was getting worn and tired out, so I reluctantly bought this as I could not get my hands on another new real one. I was happy to see that it is very close to my one apart from mine has plastic zip's and the pockets are of a slightly different shape plus the wait of the original coat is heavier than this one, the fabric used seems thinner and not as robust. But I think I can put the zip and pockets down to mine being a 1980's issue. This is a good coat and I hope it last's me as long as my old one.
Great jacket for any weather, but the sizing can be a bit dubious. I can wear both UK Ls and XLs but the L in this jacket is awfully big. I recommend you go down a size, or maybe even two sizes if you're between two sizes like I am, to get the best fit. This is the same advice the official page gives, and it gives it for a reason. Otherwise you could maybe get away with using the waist/bottom draw strings to take it in a bit but that won't help with getting a good fit around the chest. Think a lot about the size before you buy, but if you do it'll be worth it.
Was looking for a quality jacket, this is it in the Olive Drab.Well made and comfortable. I mainly wear it without the liner, it fits nicely over a T-shirt and thermal. Warm on cold nights and doesn't feel heavy or cumbersome, pockets are big enough for wallet and phone etc. Can wear for almost any occasion.Same week delivery, arrived in perfect condition.
It's waterproof and it's warm and can be worn in all seasons. There's plenty of pockets for carrying things like specs, phone, keys and pen and notebooks. I don't know if i'd use the hood but it's there should I need it.

Note that the zipper is a heavy duty brass type which is a plus... (Not likely to self-destruct for some time?)I'm not too sure of the sizing... I am 136cm around the chest, and the fit was about right. (3XL).The site states that 3XL was for up to 147cm chest measurement, and I was worried that it may be too big for me, but as I mentioned, the fit was about right for me. (Not tight, not too loose, looked good while wearing it)Cuffs on the sleeves have a velcro adjuster, from 'loose' to as 'snug' as you want.There is a 'draw-string' at the bottom of the jacket, and snap domes over the zip, and also to secure the pockets.Delivered by courier from Chch to Dunedin about 24hrs after ordering. Great jacket, you can really feel the quality in this replica. I really enjoy the pockets.I really appreciate the ability to take out the liner too, I find myself wearing it without the liner just during the day and putting the liner back in for the darker hours!
