We are a big fan of Miele appliances. I was hoping to be suitably dazzled by buying this to replace a Dyson that has gone beyond its best. In terms of build quality this is up to the usual Miele standard. The click lock way the wand clicks to the body and the floor tool attaches are leagues ahead of Dyson for a feeling of stability and solidity. The suction on normal mode is also perceptibly better and I can understand the claim it rivals a plug in conventional vacuum. The battery however takes a big hit. I struggled to get 15 minutes from it before it was dead. The 3 light battery indicator is a bit basic so doesn't give you much accuracy on when it'll run out compared to the latest Dyson which has a digital countdown. The 3 light battery indicator is a bit basic so doesn't give you much accuracy on when it'll run out compared to the latest Dyson which has a digital countdown. The blurb claims you can get 55 minutes but this can only be achievable if you aren't using the turbo brush which is unlikely to be the case for most users. The wall dock illustrated in the book isn't what is actually shipped with the machine. We wanted a similar Dyson functionality which means you dock the machine and it starts charging. I called Miele who advised that the wall docks hadn't been designed correctly but they are in the process of sorting the issue and will ship a new wall dock with the ability to integrate the charging cord in the very near future. Without this feature it'd be a complete deal breaker for us and many others.I find the weighting of the machine OK but am a tall bloke. My wife on the other hand finds it too heavy and thinks the handle is in the wrong position with the weight of the battery giving it an unbalanced back heavy feeling. Guess who is going to be doing all of the vacuuming from now on!!It is easy to empty and comes with an array of cleaning tools - crevice tools, dusting brushes etc. You'll find something to suit every cleaning need.In summary it is very good, but no where near perfect. Whilst I usually really endorse Miele products, this one has too many shortcomings to recommend it heavily. Miele need to sort out the wall dock as a priority and then reconsider the weight and handle position for it be a real leader in the field of cordless vacs which is quite a crowded space.

This cordless vacuum cleaner is fantastically powerful, picking up dust and dirt and leaving my carpets looking new and pert again. It also looks super smart and feels very solid and well made, with no flimsy bits. The machine transitions well between carpets and hard flooring and has a fantastic suction range. When vacuuming along edges and stairs, the main head sucks in dirt from a wide area, which was very impressive. Tools were easy to use and swap over, and a triangular head was particularly good for hard to reach corners. There is a handy clip which hooks onto the pole and stores a variety of attachments so you have them handy whilst vacuuming. Swapping between the attachments and the long pole is really easy and tools clip into place easily. The machine is ... Swapping between the attachments and the long pole is really easy and tools clip into place easily. The machine is heavier than other cordless machines that I have used, however once you adopt a comfortable position it glides over floors easily and the weight does not become such a problem. There is no "charging dock" so if you have attached the hanging bracket to the wall, then you are not able to charge the machine whilst in the bracket. This does seem disappointing, but it has just meant that I leave the machine out and don't use the bracket. It stands up well when balanced against the wall as has a rigid tube.Battery life is good and there are lights on the machine to indicate battery level, which stops you getting caught out with no charge. The boost is very powerful, but actually so far I have found the machine to be more than satisfactory without the boost. Noise levels are lower than with other cordless vacuums that I have used and in fact my cat has been more tolerant of the machine when previously he would run as soon as a vacuum cleaners was switched on. Emptying the waste section is very easy and is easier if you detach the pole first as you can then hold the handheld section over a bin.I have been extremely impressed with how much and how quickly the machine picks up dust, hair, and dirt. Vacuuming is a lot quicker due to the power and speed, and it even picks up relatively big pieces of rubbish without issue. All in all this has been a fantastic addition to our household and is making housework quicker and easier all round.

I have been really impressed with the Miele Duoflex HX1 having come from using Dyson cordless vacuum cleaners for about 10+ years now. This is my first time with a non-Dyson vacuum cleaner for about 15 years and I am very impressed with the Miele Duoflex HX. The build quality definitely feels more study and premium against the Dyson. It looks great in white too!The suction power is amazing (even on normal). It picks up so much more dirt and dust than the Dyson on both carpets and hard floors and it is so easy to use being easy to move around the floor and attaching the different tools that come as standard (it is a very simple plug and play system). The bin seems smaller than the Dyson but we don't have a large house so that shouldn't be an issue. However, emptying the bin is a one button press rather than a more labour intensive process with Dyson.I fitted the wall cradle without much issue after I realised that the included cradle is not the one advertised in the instruction manual (it does not have the integrated power cable holder, see the photo, which Miele are aware of and said to me in a call that all buyers will automatically be sent the correct cradle once it is available). For now you have to manually connect the power cable before you put the cleaner in the cradle. The fact that Miele was already aware of it and without any fuss is fixing this at their own cost is a testament to their excellent post sales service.I strongly recommend the Miele Duoflex HX1 cleaner.
We got this as a replacement for our Dyson V6 which we use around the kitchen and hallway and I have to say we got more that we bargained for.- The performance is astounding, we have an upright Shark vacuum we use around the house on carpet and the Miele is picking up dirt and dust comparable to the shark.- Build quaility is next level, the main body, head, stick and various attachments are just solid and robust they look sleek minimalistic. the attachement are easy to snap on and off and overall it just gives you an industrious feeling. But, it actually works and makes sense and actually they both points perfectly balance each other out. The weight and angle you hold the Miele is perfect no unnecessary weight you have to apply the handle makes it stress free on your wrist, elbow. arm and sholder. Miele could have followed the crowd but they have really thought about the ergonomics of the design and hats off to them (got me thinking have all other stick vacuums been design wrong)Maintenance - Seems easy, brush is easy to remove to get rid of hairs, filter has a neat party trick where it has an inbuilt dust remover (you just twist and it flakes off the inbuild dust). instructions on how to replace the battery. Now the Caveat.... So with most wall mounted vacuum there is a placement for the charger meaning you just hang the vacuum and its charges (quick and simple no hassle, easy) however the Miele doesn't have a placement even though the instructions illustrated it did. I called Miele and apparently in the UK there is patent on wall mount charges so annoyingly have to plug it in before wall mounting or you might as well just leave it on the floor (lol)Overall this is an extememly good, beautiful and impressive piece of kit with lots of attachment and performance to match plugged in vacuums. The design and balance, its easy to use and effortless to maneuver, what would have been a 5 star saddley let down by the charging wall mount (just something I'm so used to). If that doesn't bother you then I suggest you look no further and get the Miele. The build quilty is just levels above the rest
I could not love this product more! It has been a life changer for me, I am disabled and no longer able to manage the traditional corded heavy vacuum cleaner but now I can easily use this to clean up spills and mess as it is so light and easy to manoeuvre from standing or seating position. No tricky cords to trip over as I am a bit wobbly on my feet. The suction power is amazing! It is even better than my old vacuum cleaner! It gets to all the edges can be used on my laminate kitchen floor, bathroom vinyl and all the carpets. There are little spinning brushes which whizz round making sure no bits are left. The head swivels round easily so you can reach under furniture. Easy to charge, but lasts a long time enough for me to hoover the whole bungalow. So easy to ... I love the little storage hook that goes on the wall keeping it discretely tucked away but close to hand behind my door. Also you can take the long tube off and use it as a hand held hoover for car seats, sofa and mattress. Empties at the click of a switch, It is brilliant worth every single penny!
I have always had Dyson vacuums but mine had lost suction so decided to give the Miele Duoflex HX1 a try.Firstly, the suction is incredible, very powerful and pulls up all the dirt and dust. The intelligent head adjusts to different floors after a few seconds, so when I change from carpet to wood floor to my kids soft play mat, the suction alters accordingly, which is pretty neat. When unboxing I was surprised by the weight of the HX1, it was heavier than I was expecting, but the weight actually feels quite nice once you start using it.It comes with a good selection of three additional tools which easily interchange with the main vacuum head. The only downside for me is the wall dock, which does not hold the charging cable. This means when docking the vacuum after use, I have to find the end of the charger and plug it into the vacuum - no big deal, but its after EVERY use and feels a bit clunky, when the dock could easily have held the cable with a slight (and cheap) tweak. Further, the dock in the manual showed it holds the cable, but I think that is only with the upper models, not this base model.
The Miele DuoFlex HX1 vacuum cleaner is well-built and easy to use. The vacuum comes with all different tools. This includes wall mount, charging cable, battery, floorhead, dusting brush, upholstery nozzle, crevice nozzle. Miele DuoFlex has small dustbin compared to my previous cordless vacuum. There are two power setting regular and turbo. Also have short run time - around 55 min so it is suitable for smaller homes. This vacuum automatically detects carpets, so there is no need for a different attachment for hard floors and carpets. Great at cleaning hard floors and carpets, the floors look super clean. I am very happy with this Miele DuoFlex HX1 vacuum cleaner. I founded this to be easy to use. Also, I have mainly hard floors in my house, so this is just a perfect ... Also, I have mainly hard floors in my house, so this is just a perfect vacuum. Miele DuoFlex HX is very stylish and super easy to use. I find this lightweight and super powerful. Overall, I would recommend this Miele vacuum cleaner, one of my friends purchased one already.
I have to preface this review by saying that I've always been a huge Miele fan due to quality and just really thoughtfully designed products. Unfortunately this machine doesn't live up to the brand name and has some serious flaws. The machine itself is very stylish and looks good even just perching in the corner. Very sleek. However it will not stay perching in the corner due to the top half being absurdly heavy and this, combined with the wall dock that looks nothing like it does in the promos, makes it very difficult to store. There are other brands with a much more sophisticated system that also allows charging and I was surprised that Miele had overlooked this as an option in favour of a very rickety piece of plastic.Following on from the heavy top half - it ... My very tall husband didn't mind it but for myself at 5" 2 it really made it a work out. The chunky top also proved clumsy on stairs and in the car where the various attachments are supposed to come into their own. My body would be aching if serious vacuuming was necessary.Luckily (or not) the battery doesn't last long enough for that to be an issue. A solid twenty minutes at best in my experience and less if using the boost function. The click function for the various attachments does work well. It's easy to empty and although it looks small I've yet to run into problems with capacity. It does get the job done but it's a surprisingly clumsy attempt from Miele.Overall, it's fine but I wouldn't want it as my main vacuum cleaner due to a lack of suction and difficulty to use. Which leaves the question of value because it's rather expensive as a supplement!
