I very much like this dutch oven. The color is lovely. My soups simmer nicely and washing it has been easy. The weight is very nice: heavy enough to feel substantial but light enough to carry and pull off the shelf. I have no regrets. I also have the red colored one. That is also a very cheery color. I did notice a small chip in the lid of the red one ....and I suppose this trend will continue in both pots. Doesn't bother me. I have a few wrinkles and dings too.

Was just looking at a smaller Dutch Oven, and came across M&S. Did some research and noticed that they are older than Le Creuset, and than MANY of the reviews were extremely positive. So I pulled the trigger and could not be happier! I love the fact that it is lighter but I do not loose any of the cooking ability from a heavier pot.I forsee MANY more stews and soups coming from my dutch oven in the future!

I love everything about this pan. I thought the price was great. The way that it cooks is exceptional, and the lighter weight is a nice treat. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that has an interest. My Wife was even taken by the light blue color. She’s remarked a few times, “What a pretty Dutch oven.”

I purchased this because I wanted a Dutch Oven. I looked at some very high-quality brands of cast iron, but one main reason to buy this brand was it is made of forged iron (making it lighter in weight). Since I am having a problem with my elbow at the moment, it seemed like a good idea. Also, we have an induction range, and this brand said the finish wouldn't scratch it - that plus the lighter weight made me decide to get it. Ordered the red and it is a beautiful shade, not too orangey-red. Have used it 3 times since purchasing & it heats quickly and cleans up nicely. Would definitely recommend.
This was I was looking for and first use was good. Only reason for 4 stars is that after I washed it and put it out to dry some more I found a piece of the white coating lying in the bottom of the pan. Looking around I see a spot on the rim that’s missing a piece. Shouldn’t be an issue so long as I dry it by hand immediately after washing. That should keep the chance of rush forming down. Otherwise happy with my purchase.
I ordered the Merten and Storck 4 quart red enameled braiser. Right out of the box, the color is beautiful! It has a nice weight to it without being too heavy! I made soup with it and it cooks evenly, keeps the food hot and it was easy to clean up! I highly recommend this Dutch oven!
I've tried a few dutch ovens and immediately I noticed this one is so much nicer!! The craftsmanship is astounding. It has a nice weight to it without being overly heavy. It's a beautiful color. I made some pork chops with gravy in it last night and they turned out great. It was very easy to wash, I just soaked it for a bit. I just made some artisan bread which also turned out great. It has nice size handles so it's easy to get out of the oven and has a nice knob on the lid. I'm absolutely obsessed with it!! I'll be making so many things in this! We are a family of four and it's plenty big enough to make us meals and could even be used to make meals for six in my opinion!
I like this Merten and Storck 5.3 quart dutch oven. It has a lot of room to hold your food so you can create whole meals in one pot. I have been cooking more at home lately and was glad to get this dutch oven since I could choose to use it to cook something on top of the stove or in the oven. It is an enameled cast iron that has some weight to it but not as heavy as a regular cast iron which makes lifting it out of the oven so much easier. I use wooden or plastic utensils to prevent scratching the enamel. I actually used it the first day I got it and have since made a few meals in it such as soup, baked spaghetti, a roast and more. Each time it has cooked the food evenly and I always use pan spray and have had no issues with sticking. It has been easy to clean up ... MoreI like this Merten and Storck 5.3 quart dutch oven. I like the style and look of this pot and also the gray color as it matches my kitchen colors.
The first thing I thought when opening the box, was WOW this is high-quality. I was surprised how light the box was compared to other dutch ovens I have owned before. It is significantly lighter weight but feels much more durable than my old one. I love that they give you an in-depth flyer of how to use it and information on the lifetime warranty. I was able to use this without seasoning the pan and it performed better than expectations. I fried chopped bacon and it did well heating up faster than traditional enameled pans. I love the dip on the side of the pan/lid that stops from condensation dripping down the side of the pot. I washed it with a scrub mommy sponge and it was a breeze! this pan is amazing!! the color is such a beautiful gray ombre. It looks great in ... This Dutch oven checks all the boxes. What I love most is that it is not as heavy as I thought it would be and feels great. It looks beautiful on my stove and I always get compliments. I have used it on the stove top and the oven and it worked lovely. This allowed me to cook meats low and slow and cooked everything evenly without over cooking. Everything comes out delicious and the experience is great. This has become a staple in our kitchen.
