Excellent. I've been running more frequently over the last year and decided it was time up step up my shoe game. Tried Puma (perfect fit, I think I'm their shoe model) but not enough cushioning and too much roll, Brooks and Adidas (invasive stability bands) and On (good cushioning) too boxy for narrow feet. Did an easy treadmill tempo run (4 miles, faster each 1/4 mile) in these to break them in and came away very impressed. One component of stability I never thought much about was the forefoot. If you check the pictures you'll see it's very wide. Excited to get these to my local greenbelt trail for a run. Seems like it will be difficult to take a wrong step or at least these will help correct inconsistencies in the road surface. Was concerned about the comment ... MoreExcellent. When I first stepped on the treadmill I thought I felt some slip but I just tightened the laces and didn't notice it again. Narrow foot here (12B) but not issues at all.

There is a unique marshmallow feeling at first which quickly fades after a short distance. I was surprised at the vertical travel between heel pavement first contact and full compression throughout each step. I had no feeling of "bottoming out" at all. (200 lbs if you must know!) Additionally, the soles are much wider than I have seen. The added width coaxes my feet into better vertical alignment and stability, especially in heel cup area. The added width was impressive enough to prompt me to check the accelerator/brake area in my cars and there was no interference from the width of the soles. I tend to roll my heels outward which causes rapid wear of the outer heel corners of my shoes. I was delighted to discover the sole bottom design has addressed this problem nicely. There is a black synthetic perforated overlay bonded tightly onto the cushion sole section of the shoes. It is a very strong resilient material that feels like it will resist wear extremely well. It is perforated with openings for traction and is thicker around the edges where wear is expected. The pattern of the holes covers the bottom fully and this layer is shallow enough to resist picking up rocks and debris. I have owned shoes that collect rocks and small stones in the grooves-leaving a trail of rocks behind me! I expect this two-layer sole design will not wear on the outer edges like so many costly shoes I have had to replace in the past. The few things I might prefer:These shoes have standard flat laces, which are sturdy, but I have to admit to being quite fond of the recent round elastic laces adjustable with simple round knots on each end. It is nice to have the flexion for slipping shoes on and off without tying shoelaces. I assume one could buy elastic laces and use them in this shoe easily. The depth of cushioning may be too much for some individuals, but a delight for others.Appearance.....I appreciate the somewhat modest look of these shoes. At my age, there are many athletic shoes that are flamboyant at a level that I am not comfortable wearing in public! The podiatrists often hand out recommendations for athletic shoes helpful to people with foot problems. Clearly the doctors are focused on the mechanics of the foot/shoe but have not seen what some athletic shoes actually look like these days! I am pretty sure young people hate seeing old people wearing something they like! We promise to stay in our own lane !

These are Ds, fit fairy snug but not TOO snug; just right that they'd break in and stretch just enough to be great.Slight heel gap, but I use KT tape on the heels so, as of now, after a couple of workouts, have not yet noticed a rub. Hoping that continues.I love the feel of these. More important is the energy return. Near the end of my workouts, my feet and legs are ready for more (usually they just hurt). Seriously, the comfort and energy return on these shoes are AMAZING.Just having to deal with the moisture retention issue. I want to love these shoes and order three more pairs. I'm tempted, but with all the moisture, I'm worried they're going to fall apart too soon.I'm going to say I would recommend them, but if I did, I'd warn about the moisture issue as I did so.

These shoes are also super stylish! The black and gray flyknit material looks cool and accents like the orange ZoomX label and smiley face in the insole are fun Easter eggs that really make the shoes pop!I also love that Nike is working to cut down material waste. The shoes shipped in their shoebox, meaning that less cardboard is used for each pair that is sold.Overall, I'm extremely happy with these shoes and have no complaints so far! I am confident that they would last years, though I will definitely buy another pair once they reach 500 miles now that I know what great running shoes are supposed to feel like!
The Nike Invincible 3 is a great daily trainer giving you maximum cushion to keep your joints and feet feeling fresh throughout your run. The ZOOMX midsole is soft and bouncy giving you a lot of energy return with each stride. It's supposedly a bit firmer than the previous versions to give you a much more stable ride but nonetheless is a fun midsole to run in. The outsole has perfectly placed rubber for excellent traction even on wet conditions. Unfortunately, the fit of the upper is disappointing. There is significant heel slippage even when using the runner's loop or heel lock lacing. I currently still run in the original Nike Invincible 1's and they fit like a glove from heel to toe with zero heel slippage from the box. Grabbed the Invincible 3 because it was on sale and the fact that I really liked the first one of this model. It fit well, my normal size 10. My initial thought was that the stack height seemed higher than the first model, I believe it is an 8. I walked around a bit and then ran. Maybe it needs to be broken in by the forefoot cushioning was not as cushy as the first model nor was it as responsive. Definitely less responsive. And again, the heel height made me feel like I was running on my forefoot vs the natural heel strike to forefoot roll through. There is also a seam on the inside of the shoe that rubbed on each foot just before the top of my foot where my big toe knuckle is. The longest run in the shoe so far has been 13 miles. That will probably be around 300-350 miles, I hope. I probably won't be getting these again. I'll stick to my Hoka Bondi's.
Pros:The most comfortable shoe you’ll buy. The zoom x is extremely soft and plush. When you walk you feel as if you have a nice bounce with every step you take. The upper seems durable and easy to clean. The upper silhouette reminds me of the epic reacts minus the huge mid sole. The flat laces are nice because I prefer them over traditional round laces. The Invincible is a shoe that I love but have a few criticisms of. When it comes to running, the cushion is really the biggest game-changer here. The softness of the ZoomX foam combined with the rocker in the midsole creates a great transitional runner that feels great when taking strides. On the negative side, though, I find that the sizing is slightly "Wonky". I have enough room in the toe without it feeling like my foot is swimming, but my ankle tends to slip out of the back. A runner's lace helped with this a bit, but after a long work day I found a small blister on my right ankle. The other issue I have is with the tongue. When it sits flat, it feels normal, but if it gets bunched up or shifts at all it causes some discomfort. For a runner looking for something above entry level but not incredibly advanced, I think this would be a great option. If you can figure out how to deal with the heel slipping and the tongue issues better than I can, It will work well a "Standing all day" shoe.
I am a fairly new runner (running on-and-off the past 2 years, a handful of 5Ks) who is unfortunately cursed with pigeon feet. That being said, I've been able to correct my running form and run comfortably using shoes with a wider sole. So after trying the ZoomS Invincible Run Flyknit 3, I am more than pleased to give very positive reviews, after a few comfortable runs! Let me point out the highlights:Wide Sole: The Flyknit 3 has a wider footbed that allows for very consistent and straight footfalls, which (as mentioned) is an added benefit for someone who has a crooked gait. This is something I look for with my shoes, and was excited to notice upon taking it for a run.Uneven road? No problem: The heel has ~1.5" (38mm?) of cushion to make impacts on the road ... MoreI am a fairly new runner (running on-and-off the past 2 years, a handful of 5Ks) who is unfortunately cursed with pigeon feet. This is something I look for with my shoes, and was excited to notice upon taking it for a run.Uneven road? No problem: The heel has ~1.5" (38mm?) of cushion to make impacts on the road very easy (see photos). When stepping on cracks or uneven surface, there's enough give to make it unnoticeable, but not too much to make running inconvenient.Fun in each step: With the cushioning, the transition from heel to forefoot is smooooth, and makes energy transfer for each step seamless. If stepping, you can really see the heel compress! As a caveat I do not have experience with larger cushions on my shoes, but this shoe is making me a believer for different training days. It can definitely make running 5k+ distances go by effortlessly, and speaks to the legacy of this shoe line.Flyknit=Breathability: Nike's proprietary flyknit material (see photo) definitely works as advertised, giving breathability to your longer runs. What's interesting to me is that the upper seems to have a sheen to it that makes it smoother to the touch (not as socky). Not much more to say here, but if you run hot, this can definitely give you more running time.Foot and sneakers are one: Small thing I've noticed with my other running shoes - my feet always tend to shift ever so slightly during my runs. Out of the box, this shoe doesn't have that problem. It fits true to size but keeps it snug where I have no issues with chafing. The tongue is also well padded, keeping everything cozy (see photo).Final notes: It's a very fun shoe, used ideally for your longer runs or to change up your days. You're probably not going to be breaking any records with these and they may not be the lightest, but they sure are comfortable. I plan on using this for my distance days/recovery days, and am excited to re-review this down the line.Reviewer notes/Extra notes: Sz. 10 Men's, true to fit.
The shoes are well cushioned, and I appreciate the outsoles overall. I also like the wider toe box and wish that Nike would make their racing shoes as wide as these. The uppers could be better, as my heel slips in them, but they are breathable. That said, I would not use them racing or anything like that. They perform well enough as a nice pair of training/recovery shoes, as they offer enough comfort. If you are looking for a pair shoes that are light in terms of weight, look elsewhere because these are quite heavy. My pair sometimes hurt the upper part of my left foot near the top lacing area, but gets a little better when I mess with lacing, or loosen them up. I do wish the laces were a little more stretchy, as that might help with the slight discomfort. I have ... MoreThe shoes are well cushioned, and I appreciate the outsoles overall.
