McVitie's Digestives Milk Chocolate, 433 Grams

I have not eaten these for many years as I adopted a life style, shall we say, in which I no longer ate products made with porcine gelatine. Jaffer Cakes were among such products. Some years ago, I learnt that Jaffer Cakes, as well as many other products, abandoned the use of porcine gelatine as an ingredient in their products. Nevertheless, I was not moved at all to purchase Jaffer Cakes as I have since become an adult. Yet on my last online shop, I saw these and thought what the hey, and bought some. So, what do I think Just as nice as I remember them, they are indeed a classic treat, albeit smaller in circumference than I remember another sign of the times perhaps

These milk chocolate digestives from McVities are so moreish! The chocolate adds that extra kick to a digestive that it needs. It’s creamy and so tasty. I like the texture of the digestive and the milk chocolate layer together too. The packaging is easy to open and doesn’t split, keeping the biscuits fresh for longer. Overall, a very tasty sweet treat that everyone needs in their lives!

I tried to swallow and it seemed to have clagged in the back of my throat. Digestives have always been used in our house to settle poorly tummies or as the “go to” first snack after any bug due to the comforting, gentle, dry-food texture, wonderful taste and general ease to nibble on. These will also be great to have on hand when you have kids who insist they don’t need any breakfast! They also state they’re suitable for vegans and vegetarians. I will finish the pack but I will stick to my usual store brand version as I find they are superior.

Okay let me get it straight, so I was never a big fan of digestive biscuits always used to avoid them as much as possible. Then I got an opportunity to review chocolate digestive biscuits in exchange of genuine review. So I will be as genuine as possible. Simple answer to these biscuits are they are simply superb, the main reasons are they have perfect blend of freshness, sweetness crisp. The chocolate on one side makes it more interesting, irrespective of being digestive biscuits. Decent packaging with sufficient size economical price. From me it's 9 out of 10 must try.

These always been a family favour of us. The taste is amazing. They are great dipped in a brew and don’t fall to pieces like some supermarket own brands. Great value for money. The freshness is always spot on and the packaging isn’t overly excessive. I don’t use any other digestive biscuit other than these! And even with the cost of living crisis, they are not extortionate like some brands, which is always a massive bonus 

As it says on the packet, these are THE ORIGINAL biscuit. But that should say THE ORIGINAL AND BEST! These biscuits are so versatile, not only are they the perfect pairing for a nice hot brew, but they have a vast array of other uses. I always have these in the cupboard because they’re great for cheesecake bases, or even with a nice slice of cheddar cheese. Cheap versions are okay, but these are the best tasting out there. Well worth the few extra pence they cost over cheaper brands.

Love Mcvities chocolate digestives a trusted brand that keep on making the perfect biscuit. These chocolate digestives are a very nice mix of sweet/savory biscuit covered in gorgeous milk chocolate. I prefer mine cool from the fridge ready for when I need a sit down and have a cup of tea at any time of day. These twin packs are great as I can keep a pack at home and take a pack to share at work. Only one more improvement needed have a duo pack with milk and dark or milk and white. Excellent biscuits.

Not so choclatey favourite as it used to

Always a favourite, hadnt bought for a while and shocked at reduced choc coating less than 1mm. Used to be choclately, now more basic digestive taste than chocolate. Why do brands mess with their prime products by reducing quality for price reduction? We want a thick chocolate digestive as used to be....disappointing ‘shrinkflation’ again.

Surprisingly nice

These fries were surprisingly nice. I normally don’t like microwave chips but as they are fries, the taste and texture are much nicer, very pleased. And so quick to cook. I have a 900 watt microwave and only took 2 minutes as instructed on the box. A very quick supper and could be part of a main meal.

Definitely changed recipe, tastes less buttery, more granular, and way thinner chocolate. I wish they would stop trying to hoodwink customers. We know it's costing more to make things. We also buy certain brands because of reliability of consistent flavour and texture. Make the pack smaller, increase the price, but don't substitute cheaper ingredients unless they maintain the same reliable flavour. I will never buy these again.
