Purchased 2 in February 2022 against the recommendations of other reviews. The seal keeps on fall out, an smell is evident even when using the recommended spray dose and the tap did leak when I did a water test first before adding material. If you are prepared to put up with these issues it is great but I feel overpriced. Wished I purchased a good outdoor compost tumbler/bin instead.

This is great idea to use up kitchen scraps for compost for the garden. It is very airtight and there is no smell. I keep it under the sink. I measured the area first to make sure the bin would fit.

The new improved lid is much easier to use and is completely airtight. The construction of the tub is robust and lightweight. The only thing you need to be careful is when you for the tap don't screw it in too tight on the rubber seal otherwise it could leak.

Fantastic to keep near the sink and throw in food waste whilst preparing meals. Seals tightly and doesn't smell nor attract insects. Only small downside is often the seal comes loose when opening the lid, just have to reattach.Liquid from the composting waste is great to dilute and use as liquid tonic for the garden.
Great product! After some problems with a previous bokashi bin that kept letting bugs in, I find this one to work 100% better. The seal makes it close to 100% air tight leaving the bugs out, but also allowing your compost to ferment better, as ideally you wants as much or an anaerobic environment.The end result is clearly a better looking and better smelling bokashi!100% happy customer!
This is a great way of giving a greener end to your waste. Very easy to assemble and start composting. You must have at least two bins, because some time is required until you can bury the contents of one of them.After I started composting each week my red lid bin goes almost empty to the curb.
The newly improved design with the thicker seals and the clips on the side have definitely made the bins much better. The seal is great, the increased size is also a good addition and overall this is the most economical option out there. Thank you for improving the product!
Seems to be a popular item, has been very hard to find at Bunnings! So far working quite well. It is airtight as described, haven't had any issues with bugs and I keep it under my kitchen sink. It has produced plenty of delicious smelling bokashi juice for my plants. Very happy with this product and hope it lasts!
I am using this one and the 18L one. I’ve had no problems with the 18L but bought this one as I thought the air-tight rubber seal would be fantastic. But I have found that the seal frequently slips out and this allows bugs to get in and maggots are feasting inside. Wished I stuck with the old one.
I have used it for two weeks and found the lid is very tight and easy to open. The handle for pressing the compost is very good design so that the compost could be pressed down easily and squeeze out the extra juice. The handle is very easy to clean. After pressing the compost, some of capacity would be free for compost again.
