Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal Waterproof Mascara - Glam Black

Maybelline was one of the first brands I doubled into when I was little. I grew up using their mascaras a lot. This was my go to mascara in middle school I would say I would wear it all the time. How ever I will say that the beauty market has changed incredibly, and Maybelline has came out with a bunch of different mascaras with amazing formulas that this one was good at the time, but I haven’t dabbled into it since. I absolutely LOVE this mascara. It makes my thin, straight lashes look much longer and fuller. When I curl my lashes, it helps them stay up all day. My only complaint is that it’s so waterproof that it can be somewhat difficult to take off. I personally don’t wear false lashes, but this product does the trick. I definitely recommend!

Really great for holding curl (for short, downward Asian lashes!) and staying waterproof (tears, rain...). May smudge if you have oily eyelids (which I do) but usually lasts from morning through afternoon (probably depends on your eyelids). The pro of this is it's easy to remove with oil based cleanser. Also, the brush is amazing!!! Great for coating lashes individually without clumps.

Awesome mascara!

I've been using Maybelline mascara since I was a teenager. Each time I try more expensive products, I keep coming back to the tried and true Maybelline. This particular mascara is amazing and does what it says. Along with my Loreal primer this Colossal mascara is amazing. Just one coat gives me thick, long lashes. If I want to apply two coats there's not even very much drying time. The waterproof formula lasts all day for me and removes surprisingly easily with baby oil. You will love this mascara. It's a win -win!

Beautiful for an hour

So I usually wear SkyHigh waterproof and love it but stores were out. With living in high humid location it’s not always easy to find good ones. Sadly this one didn’t do so well. It applied and looked great for about an hour of being outside. After that I started to get the raccoon eyes. It was flaking and smudging so bad I had to remove it part was through my day. Have refused to try again.

I got lashes omg

Got it as a free gift on here. I'm 36 y.o., woman and I never cared to wear such products cus I never thought I had that much eye hair lol. this product leaves no crumbs behind, it picks up all hairs and makes it look long! I do not need to buy lash strips anymore. My 16 y.o. couldn't believe that I found something like this now she wants one but she has long healthy natural lashes and she only wants this brand.

Messy application but long lasting

I have this mascara in both the regular and waterproof formulas. For some reason, the waterproof one is somewhat prone to clumping and is also very messy- it stays pretty wet for a while after application and often transfers to my eyelids, which is a pain to remove. Once it dries it lasts a long time and doesn't rub off easily or flake off, to it's credit. The regular formula doesn't have the application issues but comes off a lot easier- I wish there was a way to have the best of both.

My GO TO mascara! Love it for daily & travel

My current GO TO mascara everyday and for travel. Not at all clumpy, quick volume, even without curling lashes. I have very thin and straight lashes, it gives me instant volume. And I smudge eyeliner on my lash line. I don’t enjoy the fragrance though, but that’s not a deal breaker because I HATE clumpy and messy mascaras, and this does not do that. I love the big wand. Lasts all day. Washable one is easy to remove with cleanser.

Please Bring Back Old Forumula <3 RIP

This has been my go to mascara for the past 15 years (I'm only 30 lol that sounds like a long time) it is the BEST OF THE BEST. Time and time again I've tried other mascaras that get popular either through "hype" or have a lot of good reviews and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I come back to my Day 1, Colossal mascara as it simply never compares. I love it so much as it really builds up my lashes the highest, thickest, more separated than any other and most importantly, it keeps the curl all day (no need to curl your lashes after applying mascara, which can be damaging). I also love that the removal process is easy and preserves my original lashes. I recently purchased the waterproof version with the new blue writing and noticed that the formula has changed dramatically. My lashes no longer stay curled, which is critical because once they go straight you can't even tell how thick or long they are anymore, therefore defeating the purpose. I don't feel like this is the same product anymore, which after 15 years makes me really sad as I know there is no other mascara like this. Please bring back the old formula that we all know and love. Thank you!

Raccoon eyes

I end up with black beneath my eyes every time I use this mascara. Not only that, but it clumps on the brush and my lashes so badly that I have wipe off the excess with a tissue before I put it on. If I want product on my outside lashes, when I turn it a bit to apply, it gets all over the place. Nope. I'm done. Been using this for years and it has gotten worse and worse. I guess the theory behind the brush and clumps is buyers will have to waste product and run out sooner, then buy more. Not me!
