Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free Foundation Stick 9 G (235 Pure Beige)

I had a hard time trying to figure out the best way to apply this, I used my finger & a soft brush for the best results. I have combination skin. Unfortunately, even though I knew better, I wore this for the first time at work. After a few hours my dark spots started to show and the foundation rubbed off where my hair touched my face. Luckily I brought the foundation with me and I reapplied it but after that plus the setting powder already on my face I looked cakey. Adding pressed powder instead of more foundation slightly helped with the rub off but I still felt blotchy.

I love a product that is compact and easy to use. I hate messy liquid foundations so when I see a stick or cream-to-powder on the shelf, consider it sold. This is a neat product, it is a stick foundation with an “anti-shine” core. When you apply, the core mixes with the foundation, leaving you matte and flawless. It applies wonderfully. Like silk and it blends like butter. When you get everything blended, your skin is flawless…for 2 hours. The term “shine free” must be used loosely. My skin was a horrible oil slick and my beautiful base was melted off after a few mere hours. If you have normal skin, even slightly dry, your skin will love this. Definitely give it a go. Anyone else, move on.

I have oily skin and love the shine free finish this product gives me. I think there could be more shades for this product that would be my only dislike but it's a big one.

I recently tried the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Shine-Free Stick Foundation Makeup in the shade 330 Toffee, and I must say, it's become an essential in my makeup routine. I got this to try because I love the Fit Me liquid foundation, but it just isn’t for me. The formula at first glance looked dry, and upon applying it I was right about that. It went on very thick, even after prepping my skin and using a primer I just couldn’t get it to look right. I tried using a foundation brush, a wet sponge, every way I could think of to try and get it to work for me. It felt heavy on my skin, looked patchy and caky in spots, was not comfortable to wear at all. Maybe for other skin types this might work better, but for me I won’t be able to wear it at all. Stick foundations are a hit or a miss with me, I will definitely not buy this again.

However, I found that it didn't do a great job of controlling shine, and I had to reapply several times throughout the day. Additionally, I found that it didn't offer as much coverage as I was hoping for - it did a decent job of evening out my skin tone, but it didn't cover up any blemishes or acne scars. Overall, I think this could be a good product for someone with very oily skin who wants a lightweight, easy-to-apply foundation, but it wasn't quite right for me.

It's easy to apply, just roll it all over most of your face then use your clean fingers to smooth and even it out. I don't have to wait until it dries, because it's a creamy waxy substance (like the consistency of lipstick), so there is no drying time. I can take it with me in my purse without worrying about it spilling all over my purse. After a long while there is a shine to your face, because the natural oils from your face break through the foundation. But you can easily blot that oiliness with a paper towel. The Fit Me Foundation does not last as long as I would like it to last; I use it up fairly quickly in my opinion. This is a perfect foundation for me. I am 41, with fine lines, small pores, some acne scars / redness, and use the Classic Ivory. I usually put the cover girl mattifying powder in classic ivory on top of it, followed by NYX bronzer and e.l.f. stick blush then setting powder. The coverage is light, but I actually prefer this. I've used higher end foundation sticks which felt like theater paint on my face, I prefer this coverage actually. Doesn't make me break our or make my skin oily as others have stated, and I don't notice any chemical scent. Am finishing my 2nd stick and looking forward to purchase 3rd. Terrific foundation

Love this foundation. Have been using it for many years. Blends in to skin beautifully. The only foundation stick or cream foundation I’ve tried that does not look Cakey! Lasts all day on my combo (dry/oily) skin. I’m 50 and this does as well on my mature skin as it did when I was younger. This is a great balancing formula that does not dry skin but controls oils. It is perfect for my sensitive skin without fragrance and drying alcohols. I’m in the shade porcelain!
