Stoked to have a brand new rear tire. Rode thirty feet down the trail and ripped the sidewall. Running tubeless.... Put a tube in to fix...The tire lasted 45 minutes. It worked great on the climb up to the trail head. Maybe it was bad luck?

Excellent XC rekon race tire and the tradein delivery and pricing is the best company out there. I would refer to all my friends to buy from these guys.

I’ve been doing some longer distance rides lately and have gone from a high roller, to a rekon, to this true, the Rekon Race, and it has been by far the biggest improvement and difference to my average speed I’ve made yet. Same case as the rekon and good puncture resistance, but way better rolling speed. The hills seem shorter, the flats are faster, and the descents are more fun.

really good tire with lots of grip and low rolling resistance, but the tire is so thin that I get a puncture every five km. Had three major punctures at the same time! I happily ride tubeless so they can patch themselves but use a whole round of sealent every time I'm out cyclingThese are new punctures every time either from of smal flint stones or thorns from bushes
Bought these as a sister pair to my favorite Aspen WT 2.4s to use for the rockier events i race. I have 4-5 rides on the Rekon Race's now on a Santa Cruz Blur TR and am impressed with the cornering grip and low rolling resistance with that same high volume compliant ride I've come to love about the Aspen 2.4s. One of the two has a slight side wobble to it but nothing serious. Overall I really like them.
Great speed with tolerable loss of grip. I put the 2.25s on my xc bike, and expect to put 2.4s on my full suspension. Haven’t had them on thx xc to speak to durability.
Easily beat my PRs on the local trails the first time riding with these on. They are fast. They hold well in corners and always catch at the last minute whenever they seem to be sliding. Wasn't sure I'd have enough grip, but they've been great. I usually ride hard dirt in MN, but rode with them in AZ on rock and again, the did the job.
Love Maxxis tires. Purchase was easy and on time. Thank you
There's a lot of loose over hard here, and lots of rocky step ups. I run a Rekon up front and a Rekon Race on the rear -- both 2.4 WT -- and they work together great locking on for climbs without washing out in turns with minimal rolling resistance. Getting them direct from Maxxis is a bonus
I typically run the Ikons. I wanted to try the Rekon Race. I LOVE this tire! It is WAY faster than the Ikon. I have been running it on some of my less technical rides, it's a great tire for Xterra events. It is super fast rolling, good grip, I still have my teeth! Trophies galore, without trying.
