Very Versatile Product. Wow! This product adds a new dimension to my cooking and baking. I have never purchased this product before probably due to the cost. I was so excited to try it and it is amazing in many ways. I made chicken schnitzel with this almond meal and it gave it a totally yummy flavour. Iām looking forward to trying it in cakes and biscuits. I love the fact that itās gluten free and has a 5 star rating. I did some research on line and almond meal lasts 3 to 6 months past its best before date if stored in the fridge. You can even freeze it. Amazing.

Pleasantly surprised. I must admit I have not used almond meal before but I have been pleasantly surprised. I add the meal to banana muffins that I baked and what a wonderful consistency and taste. I feel this is a healthier option as well as I used only a tiny amount of flour but realized that I could actually bake the next batch without the extra added flour. I definitely will recommend this meal and will be making many more meals with the almond meal.

Lovely Australian pantry staple. Lovely product. I used the almond meal to bake a gluten-free citrus and almond cake which I make regularly and for which I usually grind whole almonds. This is a great alternative. I've stored the opened pack in the fridge in order to extend the shelf life, but truthfully, I reckon gluten-free brownies, energy balls and even crumbed chicken (almond meal and parmesan for the crust) will be on the menu in the near future. I am likely to buy this product again.

Great for baking but I will still get the cheaper one. With 5 to feed I like to try these more expensive items but I would always retreat back to economical basics. This almond meal was fine and fresh just not as cheap as the homebrand option.
Almond meal is magic for the tum tum. Used this as an alternative to flour for my attempt at the September bookmarked recipe challenge āButterscotch sliceā. September-Bookmark-Recipe-ChallengeAdded granulated almonds to the top to give it an extra āalmondyā taste. Delicious. The Almond meal is light and airy. The recipe called for self raising flour so I added baking powder to the almond meal, but Iām not so sure if that actually works or has an effect with almond meal āāļø The slice still turned out ok, it seemed to have risen a bit but also got slightly burnt (which could have been due to the almond meal baking differently OR most likely due to a dodgy oven!)I like that itās 100% Australian almonds and that it has a 5 star āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø Health rating ā I also like the ...Ā MoreAlmond meal is magic for the tum tum. A versatile addition. We have used the almond meal fro a few different recipes. As an addition to fruit smoothies it gives a great nutty flavour and added protein (good for the kids in a hurried morning rush) and as part of a banana muffin mix - yum. I have seen someone mention they used in meat patties to replace bread crumbs - will try that next. Something I would not have bought before trying, but now I have I will look to make it a regular cupboard addition.
Great Almond Meal. This almond meal has more of a nutty flavor compared to the other brands that I have tried. The meal is light and fluffy and doesn't have a grainy consistency. It doesn't have much brown skin in the product as I thought it would be. It is very versatile as it is only almonds. I used it for schnitzel, biscuits and cakes and it worked well for all. The price is on par with other almond meal brands so I would pay the small difference in price to use this one. Overall, I will be buying again.
Great for gluten free baking. I made zesty almond biscuits! Recipe for Almond Biscuits. 1. Mix 300g of almond meal and 250 caster sugar in a large bowl. Stir in. 2. Add 2 egg whites and the finely grated zest of 1 lemon. Mix through to create a paste with your hands. 3. Make 4cm squares (I just made small random shapes) and coat with a good dusting of icing sugar before placing on lined tray. 4. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 180C. They will be ready when the biscuits are slightly marked/the bottom is firm
A versatile ingredient option. Although I've eaten cakes made by others that contained Almond Meal instead of flour, I've never used Almond Meal before in any of my recipes. But after trying it this time, will definitely use it more often. I used it in a Butterscotch-Coconut slice. Got the idea from the Bunch September Bookmark recipe challenge, where I used it as a flour replacement. (Photo below)Turned out better than I thought it would! As Almond Meal provides its own unique flavour and texture to cakes, slices and muffins, it makes the recipe taste nicer... if you like the change in flavour that Almond meal provides. As a bonus, Almond Meal has a higher protein content than flour. It is also good to see that it contains Australian almonds and they are not imported!
Tutti fruity Almond Smoothie. Kind of an introductory product for me as I have never used almond meal before, except almond milk. At first I was not sure how to use almond meal but decided to blend it with yoghurt, strawberries and leftover ripe bananas to make fruit smoothie. It is tasty, gluten free and with 100% natural ingredients. Not a difficult decision to swap my Friday Moscato with this nutritious tutti fruity almond smoothie. However, it would be handy if there are some sample recipes printed on the packaging as I have noticed from previous reviews that there are some newbies like me who have never used this product before.
