Ludwig Black Beauty Hammered Brass Snare Drum 14"x6.5"

Probably the drum that Ludwig has built their laudable reputation upon. Often imitated but never replicated the Black Beauty is what many other snares strive to be. Black Beauty snare drums provide a warm metallic tone that provides the back beat for many of the worlds top professionals. Produced from one sheet of brass that is machine drawn to create a 1.2mm seamless shell, the process is so unique and difficult that only a very limited number of black beauty snares are made each year. This Black Beauty comes with a hammered finish and imperial lugs which gives a new spin on the classic look. The hammering process is the same used to build Ludwig's timpani drums and no two drums are ever exactly the same.
