I bought the violet Andromeda finish. I've had this for several weeks now and I cannot stop staring at this guitar... It's absolutely gorgeous! Mine showed up safely packed in a double box, with plenty of packing materials. Very secure. It's flawless. Did I mention it is gorgeous? It's setup out of the box, was nearly perfect. I only had to lower the trem posts about 3/4 turn, to get the action exactly where I prefer it.The floyd rose 1000+ series is excellent! Stays in tune very well, even with crazy divebombs and heavy trem shenanigans. The Emg 81 and 85 pickup set, sound brutal for the metal shreds and chugs and live up to theirreputation. The thin U neck shape is extremely comfortable.Imo, this guitar feels like a guitar that should cost double what this does. ... MoreI bought the violet Andromeda finish. It feels very high end.Might be the most comfortable V guitar I've ever played, due to the bevels on the body and the neck profile. If you're into V style guitars, you absolutely will not find a better one than this, anywhere near this price range.Just buy one. You won't regret it.

Beautiful guitar, top quality build, easy to play, & sounds amazing. I chose this over the Gibson Flying V and Jackson King-V. I play mostly hardcore. Hatebreed, Strife, Gorrila Bisquets, Cro-Mags. But when I plug it into my Blues jr. I can get great clean sounds. It's my new favorite. And as always AMS was a pleasure to deal with.

I'm just in awe, every time I look at it I can't just pass by without taking it off the wall and playing it. Very fast neck and the EMG 81/85 pickups scream. This is everything I imagined a metal guitar would be. AMS got it to me in perfect condition and with the 12 payment plan it let me leave my money in the bank and make budget friendly payments. Once again AMS delivers an impeccable guitar. I have 2 more guitars on my all time dream list and will order them both from AMS without hesitation.

A very well built and specced guitar. The neck is super thin and you can't beat fishman modern pickups.Only issue I had was the bridge slots were very shallow from where it had been painted. This was causing two strings in particular to pop out of the bridge. Purchased some very thin files and cut the slots a little deeper and it's now spot on.

Killer guitar!
27 September 2019

This guitar is very well made. The balance is excellent, and it's lightweight. The fretwork is smooth, no sprouting. The Floyd is a good model, and installed correctly. It comes with 9 Gauge strings, and tuned easily, and played very well right out of the box. I play heavy music, so I replaced the strings with Cobalt 10-52s, adjusted the neck and trem, and added one of the supplied them springs (comes set up with 3 for the 9s). The double acting truss rod is very responsive, and all the Allen wrenches are also supplied. It really stays in tune well. I've beat, and hammered the snot out of it, and it stays true. Hang it on the wall, the next day it's still in tune. Really stable instrument! The EMG 81/85s are nice, and are the solder free type for easy swapping, ... MoreThis guitar is very well made. The EMG 81/85s are nice, and are the solder free type for easy swapping, however, I installed a set of Black Winter Seymour Duncans as I like the passives, but that's just me....but, the finish. The paint is absolutely amazing! There's not a picture that shows what it really looks like, and it's sick! Normally, it almost looks black, and depending on the angle and light, it's a demony purple to blue shift. I wasn't sure I would like it, but it's far exceeded my expectations.... My only complaint it that the case is bulky, and is the same case for all ESP Vs, however, it is well made..... It's a sick guitar.

Lightweight, sounds and plays amazing!

Amazing lightweight, great sounding, very in-tune, well-balanced shredding guitar may have become my new main guitar (beating some other great ones)! Have had it a couple of weeks and I love it--hard to put down, especially since my back doesn't ache as it does with heavier guitars, and I feel no guilt playing it for hours since the steel frets don't seem to wear out. Pros: Light weight, about 7.5 pounds; well balanced (no neck dive despite the SG weight class); matte finish on back of neck for smooth fast playing; incredible access to top frets; strings go through nut nearly straight, for less likely snags than a split headstock tuning peg arrangement; Evertune bridge is great and reliable as usual; had it plekked by Sweetwater and tuning is dead on up and down the ... MoreAmazing lightweight, great sounding, very in-tune, well-balanced shredding guitar may have become my new main guitar (beating some other great ones)! Context: I'm in an internationally touring skatepunk band, Ten Foot Pole, so I play rock/metal/thrash style... singing lead vocals so I love having super stable tuning, even when I grab chords a bit too hard. I gave up my previous brandname guitars when I discovered Evertune bridges and ESP quality, and I love that Sweetwater weighs guitars because backpain makes heavy guitars a dealbreaker for me. My most recent main guitars are an EII Eclipse (made in Japan, lightweight, amazing guitar, Sperzel style tuners, but only 22 nickel frets--fret reach more comfortable than a 24 length but fewer high notes available) and an LTC EC1000ET (a bit heavier, but steel frets, nice sounding JB pickup, was my main rehearsing guitar before I found this lighter awesome Arrow). I have a Viper LTD 1000ET, and love the weight, but it's not ergonomically the best fit for me, has a bit of neck dive, but I'm keeping it for it's different pickup sound and vibe, for recording, since the plek and steel frets make it another forever guitar.

Multi colored metal monster!!
25 July 2020

Overall:This guitar is awesome. Fret dressing is immaculate. Painted neck is so smooth you'd swear it wasn't painted. And the finish is just a thing of beauty. Purple...blue...green..hints of red. The color is in the eye of the beholder..depending on the angle they are viewing from that is. If you like ESP/LTD you will love this guitar. EMG active pick-ups are packed full if metal but quite capable of tones to suit the most discerning music maker. I love it. No buyers remorse on this deal. I couldn't be more pleased. If you're on the fence just buy it...you won't regret it.

Ode to Red Beauty

Red Beauty, how curvaceous art thou...actually, naw. She's sharp as a Chef Ramsey blade. I got my ESP LTD Arrow-100 Candy Apple Red for the unhindered reach to the higher frets, but love nearly everything else about it. The neck includes classic Randy Rhoads type inlays, a pleasure to look at while you're sweating it out on the frets. The top-shelf modern 'V' shape obviously came after much stylistic consideration and is something out of the best Sci-Fi movie, making the plain old V shape old and antiquated. And the sound? The EMGs deliver such powerful sweetness - even when clean - and simply brings a smile to the face. Harmonics are at play as the huge sound resounds. Finally, my only personal concern is, due to my picking style, I am having trouble staying off the Floyd. I love it for it's sensitivity but am considering getting another ESP LTD Arrow with no Floyd to more accommodate my particular bridge-hand style. I knew this going in, and didn't care because I don't have a Floyd on any of my guitars, wanted one, and Red Beauty is SOo pretty and sounds so good.
