This was the perfect blend for me of a bag that can hold enough but is not a pro going to a movie set. I have two Sony lenses in their cases in the top compartment with a zoom lens attached to A7SIII in the protected compartment in the bottom for run and gun. The quality is great, the price is high but its a company that treats people right and has an eco friendly eye. Worth it.

Love this backpack! It is big enough to hold my Sony A7RIVA with my Sigma 24-70 mm lens and have enough room to hold another lens too. The camera bag can be taken out of the backpack if you only want a small camera bag. The backpack has plenty of space for items if you go on a hike with your camera equipment or you can take your camera bag out and use it solely for hiking (or anything else you need a backpack for). The sternum straps and waist belt are comfortable, and I like that it has a whistle built into the sternum strap for security. The back padding is nice and having the option to put up to a 3-liter hydration bladder is great. I am also able to fit my 15-inch laptop into the sleeve where a hydration bladder goes (if I'm not using my hydration bladder). It ...Β MoreLove this backpack! I bought this bag specifically for taking my camera on day hikes. While the compartment for the camera is a little smaal, it takes not more than your camera with lens attached and one more lens (which is enough for me when hiking) the bag sits very well on your back and it is great to be able to attach the camera to the straps leaving both your hands free for climbing the rocks. It is also great to have the option to put a hydration pack in the bag. I can wholeheartedly advise you, reader, to purchase this bag.

I'm writing this review mostly to say that the camera section holds my Canon R5 with 24-105 f4 attached, and there's still room for my 14-35 f4. There's not much room to spare, but there's no bulging either, and this arrangement leaves the entire upper section free. IMHO, this makes it a great daypack for a lot of people, myself included.
Great backpack, feels like a good update from the PhotoSport AW II.If you're on the edge between 24L and 15L, get the larger one. 24L is not that much larger but it certainly holds a mirrorless camera + 1-2 lenses (depending on the size). The 15L holds a very small camera. For example, Fujifilm XT3 is slightly too big for it. 24L is perfect. I was able to fit XT3 with a 10-24mm + a large 50-220 mm lens in the camera compartment. Solid choice, I personally love side camera access and front stretchy pocket with can definitely hold a vest, snacks, etc. The side pocket is well done and can hold a large Nalgene or a tripod.
My eternal search for a good hiking camera bad may be at an end (or at least paused for a few years).I realized it's better to pack light on long hikes so I don't want a camera bag that holds 20 lenses because all that weight will ruin the hike. So a basic DSLR camera with a lens, plus a 2nd lens. Then the rest of the pack is for actual day hike gear: water, food, first aid kits etc.I carry a Nikon Z6 with a 24-200mm or 24-70mm lens. Then there's still room for a second lens (usually a 20mm prime in my case), and some spare batteries, and lens filters. All fits in the padded camera insert which has it's own shoulder strap so you can drop the backpack when you reach your destination and still wander the area with all your camera gear taking pics.If more lenses ...Β MoreMy eternal search for a good hiking camera bad may be at an end (or at least paused for a few years).I realized it's better to pack light on long hikes so I don't want a camera bag that holds 20 lenses because all that weight will ruin the hike. Or remove the panel between the two sections to make it one big daypack compartment.
Great price and quality made backpack. The added tripod made this an easy decision to make.
This Lowepro backpack is the perfect daypack for serious photographer/trekkers. Lightweight and comfortable to fit it takes mirrorless camera with lens plus water bladder and room for essential spare clothes. Itβs also got straps to attach the camera to itβs harness and a phone pouch.
I have a few photo backpacks--the F-Stop Loka UL, the Vanguard Veo Active 46 and now the Lowepro PhotoSport 24L. Each fulfills a different function, though I have used all for hiking with different kit. The PhotoSport is by far the most comfortable to wear and its flexibility for carrying the camera is outstanding. It is a bit small in the camera compartment, but perfect for those times that you want to only carry one camera and a couple of lenses. It is my go to for day hiking with basic gear and a few extraneous essentials.
Practical day pack for carrying drone and camera. Recommend that sizing of drone pouch be reconsidered for the new DJI RC Pro controller. It's tight when used with my DJI Air 2S. Suspect won't fit when you have a Mavic 3. Otherwise a nice piece of kit.
