I have seriously pursued wildlife photography (in the wild). You need to always have the availability to shoot at a moment's notice yet protect your equipment. For several years I have used the Lowepro bag with my telephoto lens and have been so incredibly happy with the bag and its functionality and have therefore upgraded my equipment and, along with that, another the Lowepro ProTactic Convertible Camera Bag. It is terrific in every aspect and the value is superb. I would recommend it to anyone. Could not be happier! Long time user. Amen.

Some may find it a bit tight at first but it's great as the camera doesn't rock about the holster when you hike.I recommend using the horizontal support strap under the extra grip as opposed to body grip. Also fits fine with tripod shoe, but I rotate mine for faster access.Teleconverters are fine with expanded bottom.Rain cover a bit snug but fine. Great straps are included.

Needed to upgrade to a larger and more durable backpack. The backpack holds my a7riii and A6300 cameras and my 3 Sigma lenses with room to spare. Plenty ways to customize the inside to hold filters and lens. The backpack also has many attachment points for the straps as my tripod is fairly large. Very lightweight for its size and comfortable.

I'm keeping my 5D body attached to my 70-200 lens in this all the time. I keep the 1.4 and 2.0 extenders in my new back back. I do NOT have to extend this bag for just these two items. I have the shade on backwards and it all fits great. I tried using the belt and the shoulder sling and the sling is much more comfortable for me. You may get a different result. But for me this body/lens inside this case carried on the sling strap is very comfortable.
I like the expanding bottom section allowing some lenses to fit with hood forward. Trouble is the bottom is so narrow that many of my lenses (70-200 f2.8, 100-400 f4.5-5.6) are wider than the bag at the bottom so they fit too tight. You can shove big lenses in but the fit is not optimal. The hood on my EF 100-400mm gets caught on the junction between the main compartment and the expanding lower section.I wanted to leave my hood forward and easily get it in and out of the bag. But the fit is too tight with my 2 main sports lenses so this bag is not going to work. Having the lens get stuck once was one time too many.The one thing I do like is how much lighter weight this bag is compared to the Toploader Pro 75. I bought this bag because I needed something to carry just my XH-1 and XF100-400. I didn't need a back that could carry multiple lenses. I just wanted to something to hold the camera on my walks looking for birds and wildlife.The camera and lens fit perfectly without the hood in the normal configuration. With the extended configuration, it fits the lens with the hood attached.
Exactly what I was looking for to hold ALL my gear, including a Sigma 150-600mm lens. It's quite a bit bigger than what I currently have, but to be able to have all my lenses and accessories at my fingertips while hiking is going to be great. I have yet to 'test drive' this backpack on a hike or have opinion on the added weight.Backpack is really well-made and I love that the main compartment is against my back for security. I also love the versatility with being able to configure the interior and exterior to my needs. The detachable belt has come in handy while taking photos of birds around our yard. I can have a few items like an extra battery, my glasses, remote shutter and lens cloth at my fingertips without carrying the whole backpack. I love that!
This bag is a tank. I?ve been dropping it on the ground and in the snow since the day it arrived and the inside remains dust and moisture free when I open it up to grab my gear. I?ve got 2 bodies in the bag along with a 14-24mm, 24-70mm and a 150-600mm and I still have room for filters, a rain jacket, camera/lens rain cover, cleaning supplies, etc? I did attach a first-aid kit and the extra little bag it came with it to put often used things like batteries and such. I also have my tripod strapped to the back and while it?s heavy, the shoulder straps handle it quite well. My only gripe is that the external pockets are so tight that you cannot really get anything in them (thus the extra bags attached that I mentioned earlier).

The buckle especially allowed me to quickly secure the top without fumbling for the zippers. With the bottom expanded 300/4D with body fits.I'm pretty sure a D4/5/6 body mounted would fit too, but haven't confirmed that.As claimed, the 70-200 with stock hood and body will fit with the bottom expanded.Overall this is an excellent top loading bag to protect, transport and work out of when using longer lenses.
it well made. yet i discovered that a canon 1dx3 with the strap and canon 70-200 2.8 lense is quite snug. it seems to be made to be snug. but had to pull the strap to get it out . getting fingers around camera is not as easy a i assumed before getting bag. yet well made felt safe and protected well. however the straps were confusing to me and i tried using it as a backpack and front pack but the straps only had padding on one strap . would have been cool if on both straps so a backpack scenario would have been perfect to me. the zippers feels well made and will last which is good. overall its heavier than i anticipated fully loaded. and the straps if were a little bulkier would have been my personal preference. yet is it worth buying. YES it is. for sure.
