Time and time again, Logitech delivered impressively well-built, fully-featured devices that are a step above the competition, earning a reputation as a safe bet in the home and office alike. Logitech’s new Zone Vibe series takes aim at the growing work-from-home and hybrid work environment, offering stylish, understated, and comfortable headsets for all-day use. The Zone Vibe 100 is one such offering, featuring a beam-forming and noise-canceling microphone, multiple-device Bluetooth connectivity, and integrated call controls. With an extremely lightweight, comfortable design using good materials, the Zone Vibe 100 is a competent headset for work, but falls short for play.- Unboxing and SetupWith little more than a mandatory disclosures and warranty information pamphlet inside the box, Logitech leaves all setup instructions on the flaps inside the packaging. While clever, it only covers the most basic of setup instructions and doesn’t overview all the headset’s functions. No matter as the buttons are labeled and easy to interpret. Pairing is as easy as sliding the power button past its On position and holding for 2 seconds - repeat for more devices.Logitech includes both a soft carrying case and a USB-C <> USB-C cable in the box for charging.- ComfortAt just 180 grams (approximately 6.25 ounces), the Vibe 100 headset is shockingly light and rests easily on the head without feeling cheap. The ear cups have a wide range of vertical motion that are easy to adjust and hold steady, and the clamping force through the headband is just about perfect. With cloth materials all around, the headset is very comfortable to wear, and I had no issue wearing these for several hours with no fatigue or pain to the ears. Unlike other bluetooth headphones advertised as “on-ear” that I’ve tried in the past, the Vibe 100 is a true over-ear headphone with a large opening (approximately 2.5” x 1.5”) inside the cups that should envelop all but the largest ears.- Sound & Mic QualityInside the headset are typical-size 40mm drivers common to other Logitech headsets. Here, these dynamic drivers offer a very balanced sound that’s great for listening to music - bass is well articulated if not particularly powerful, mids and highs are neutral, and the sound stage is wider than the headset would lead you to believe. It helps that the headset is very airy in that regard; there is a lot of sound leakage that would make it easy for a nearby listener to snoop in on a conversation. Calls are equally clear with little to note otherwise. In a choice that pivots the headset more towards a professional device, the microphone includes sidetone emulation. This echoes a little bit of the microphone input back through the headphones in real time, helping boost the perceived volume of your own voice and let you know that an active call is in progress, similar to landline phones of yesteryear. The sidetone is in stereo and has no latency that I can perceive, making this headset an excellent choice for calls and conferences. The swing-down to talk, swing-up to mute microphone also features noise canceling to drown out distractions and droning sounds in the background. In testing I found it both helps and hurts voice quality - while it definitely knocked back the environment noise to an almost unnoticeable level, there were times where my voice volume would rise and fall mid-sentence as it kept seemingly hunting to find the perfect balance. In a quiet room this still occurred at times, though to a much lesser degree than in a noisier environment. I couldn’t find a way to toggle this feature on or off, but overall it wasn’t a major issue for those on the other end of the line.- Range & Battery LifeThe range of these headphones is excellent. Across multiple floors and trying to introduce worst-case scenarios inside my home, I couldn’t find any situation where the headset lost connection to my computer or phone at the extreme opposite end of a house. After about 50 feet through 3 floors I noticed a little bit of stutter, but in any real-world use case I saw no issues. I believe Logitech routes the antenna through the headband for longer range.Battery life is similarly excellent - no small feat in a headset that weighs so little (and thus must have a small battery). After 3 hours of continuous use playing back music and 2 hours of conference calls, the battery only lost 20% charge (reported in steps of 10%). I have no doubt that Logitech’s 18 hour talk and 20 hour listen times are accurate. The Vibe 100 also recharges quickly, with just 20 minutes connected to USB power taking the headset from 50% to full.- LatencyA major downside I encountered during testing is that the Vibe 100 doesn’t seem to support any kind of low-latency mode on any of the devices I tested (Windows PC, Android smartphone, Playstation 4). Thus, even with modern bluetooth support, the supported codecs for the headset are limited to ones with acceptable latency for music and calling, but are poor for video and terrible for gaming due to the increased latency. This manifests as a significant sound delay - about a quarter of a second (250ms), which takes gaming off the table completely. I was very much hoping I could remedy this as these would be my go-to headphones for all purposes otherwise.- Companion AppLogi Tune is the companion app for the Vibe series of headphones and select webcams. I was hoping for more device settings or features, but this 350+ MB app seemingly acts as nothing more than a separate calendar or reminder app from the Google Calendar or Outlook profiles you connect to it. It adds no further features to the headset besides visual popups for low battery warnings, and thus serves no real purpose as audio alerts for low battery are played inside the headset. This one’s best left uninstalled.- Bottom LineAs a headset, the Vibe 100 is perfect for calls and music with an incredibly comfortable design that can be worn for an entire workday without strain. The calling features, especially the noise canceling and sidetone, are perfect for those working phone support or spending hours per day in meetings, and the two-workday battery life further helps drive this one to a recommended status. Were it not for the disappointing sound latency and a useless app, this would be the perfect all-in-one headset for work and play, but Logitech has clearly positioned this device as a work headset. At $99, the Vibe 100 pushes a little higher than other options in the space, but comfort is king, and this lightweight, cloth-covered headset feels ready to go the distance day-in, day-out for your work needs. So long as that’s your intent, the Logitech Zone Vibe 100 comes recommended!

But to my surprise, it syncs! Obviously if I mute on teams they aren’t in agreement, but if I then mute and unmute on my headset, teams unmutes. I love this featureThere is a button to hang up on the back that I don’t use that often, the volume and the the play pause button, I do wish the volume wasn’t on the same side as the hang up button as I did hang up on someone the first time I tried to adjust the volume, I usually just use my phone or the computer. I really like that the on button is a switch, that completely makes up for the non-optimal hang up button. I just like switches for power instead of needing hold down, for headphones is a really simple way to know I’m turning it off, and it is really quick when you need to power cycle the headphones. These charge via USB C and they come with a USB C to USB C cord in the box, but no brick.Bluetooth also means these connect great to phones and this is where I have had a small annoying issue with teams, for music the headphones switch instantly, press play on the computer and the audio switches right over and vice versa, but teams isn’t so easy, there is a large delay, enough that I haven’t tried to wait it out, I just power cycle and then it works. The other option is to remember to switch the audio on the computer on then get on the teams meeting on the computer, which I am getting better at remembering.Lastly the audio quality is excellent, if it is music or meetings, these are excellent for listening and being heard (the being heard only applying to the meetings portion).Overall, these are awesome and I would definitely recommend them.

I nearly gave up and reboxed the headphones since nothing worked with windows 11. I instantly downgraded the product because of the instructions.Sound. It actually has a good sound after finding an operating system with which the unit would work. The headphones are comfortable. I did not have a chance to try the microphone which I plan to use with the phone app so I can go cordless while using my android phone over my windows laptop via the phone app. I didn't try this computer first as my phone is connected and I figured there might be a conflict with bluetooth but the phone is still connected. I have been using a wired headphone via usb to go hands free so going cord free is very important to me.Oddly I downloaded some logitech app on the windows 11 machine and that program did not recognize the headphones either despite numerous turning off the phones and trying again - connect button pushed on windows 11 popup and then nothing.

Frustrating installation and instructions
30 October 2022

I have always had a favorable impression of Logitech products until now.I wanted to use this with my Dell Xps 17 running windows 11. Almost upon firing up the headphones after fully charging the headphones first, the computer seemed to recognize the headphones. A connect dialogue box appeared and I waited and waited and waited and nothing happened. Bluetooth was enabled. I turned the headphones off and restarted only to have the same dialogue box appear to "connect" and still nothing happened.Oddly the Windows 10 computer that apparently isn't sufficient to install windows 10 also detected these headphones and I hit "connect" there and almost immediately the headphones not only showed installed, but when I tested a video with audio, I was able to hear the audio ... MoreI have always had a favorable impression of Logitech products until now.I wanted to use this with my Dell Xps 17 running windows 11.

Good overall wireless headphones

Coming from a pair of Logitech G Pro headphones, this is living up to the legacy. The first thing you notice is how comfortable the ear cups are and then you realize that these are significantly lightweight than the wired G Pro model. Music quality is very impressive with a nearly true surround sound feeling; they have good bass quality, but I think the G Pro has better bass. I got these primarily to manage daily VOIP phone calls and at times my background noise was elevated (i.e. roomba, other conversations, etc) but I never had complaints from my called parties about noise disturbances. These integrated well with Microsoft Teams and were easy to set up. Microphone position is far enough away from the face so you don't feel like you are constantly eating the mic ... MoreComing from a pair of Logitech G Pro headphones, this is living up to the legacy. These integrated well with Microsoft Teams and were easy to set up. Microphone position is far enough away from the face so you don't feel like you are constantly eating the mic and not having a windscreen on the mic was a welcome feature. The microphone does flip up seamlessly into the headphones for a clean footprint when not in use and also allows you to mute calls. Battery life is very impressive as I have never run out of power midday and am often using these for 8+ hours per day. My G Pro headphones were wired and the freedom afforded me by this set of wireless headphones has been truly delightful. Voice dictation has been fairly accurate. Volume settings are very responsive and sounds translate well even at lower volume levels than they do on my G Pro for the same sounds which required me to crank them to hear most anything. The drawbacks that I have noticed is that with these headphones being bluetooth as well as my PC mouse being bluetooth, the mouse cursor seems to move dramatically slower whenever the headphones are in use. Also when unpacking these, the user instructions for getting started are printed on the inside of the outer flap, so care is needed to not destroy your box when unpacking these. Functionally, found that I can be on a phone call OR be using voice dictation OR reviewing video from a website, but cannot do any of these tasks simultaneously with this headset. When you connect these to your PC, there are two audio devices that get installed and it is unclear to me what one of these devices is used for and during initial setup it made things difficult as my callers could hear me, but I could not hear them until I selected the correct combination of input/output devices.

Great product

For starters I would not consider this product for gaming on any platform. I would recommend it for Zoom / Microsoft Teams / WhatsApp calls / Phone calls / Listening to music on your cellular phone. I bought it for my Zoom meetings and University assignments. The sound quality is amazing and the mic works great! no static feedback. You can wipe it clean with a damp cloth and store it in the bag that comes inside the box. If you are looking for a proper gaming headset, I would recommend a Razor product. Save up for a good one though as they will run you $189 and up. I would do this because you get what you pay for. Cheap doesn't necessarily mean good. I made that mistake and now I have a cheap $20 headset broken and just sitting here. I liked the design and colors ... MoreFor starters I would not consider this product for gaming on any platform. Cheap doesn't necessarily mean good. I made that mistake and now I have a cheap $20 headset broken and just sitting here. I liked the design and colors available. Very well made and you do not get that plastic look to it. This headset DOES NOT need an app to run, only if you want to take advantage of the sound optimization features. Mic automatically turns on and off pulling the mic piece down or up. Down=on, up=off. Can connect to your phone so you can Zoom one minute and make a call right when your done without having to disconnect Bluetooth. Light weight and easy to throw in your back pack or store at your desk. I had to ask a customer who was beside me in the aisle if this was a recommended product as no Best Buy employee was even around to help me. You don't need a fancy cute flashing headset, these do the trick just fine. Makes it easy when your walking to listen to your music and pull down the mic to answer a phone call. I liked that feature. Overall I would only recommend this Logitech headset for PC use only and not for gaming on any platform. You can, but I would not recommend it. Great product, price point is excellent. I have gone through 3 headsets looking for the right one. so I've spent close to $200 in total when I should have just purchased these. Trust me, save up for a pair and buy a good branded product. If you cannot afford one just yet, go for ear buds on Amazon until you can. You will be saving money and will get a good headset that will last you a good long while!

Great sound for their reduced price. Build is barebones and lightweight but does the job.

Very surprised with the Vibe 100 headset. I planned to use them just as bluetooth headphones and they have far exceeded their value for the price paid. So negatives first, I think the build quality is on the thin side things could be more substantial and thicker but one benefit the barebone build quality brings is the light weight which makes them very comfortable to wear. Next would probably be concerns from some negative reviews saying the headphones don't charge past 20%. Personally I did not update the firmware (just using what came out of the box) and always avoid updating firmware when it pops up on the app and the headphones have worked flawlessly. Personally I did not update the firmware (just using what came out of the box) and always avoid updating firmware when it pops up on the app and the headphones have worked flawlessly. On to the positives. Wow the sound, out of the box the bass extends deep enough without any distortion and the overall sound was clear and enjoyable, way better than I expected for a budget headset. I have a few other bluetooth headphones and I just keep reaching for the Vibe 100's due to their surprisingly good sound. I made some adjustments with the EQ and once you figure what each slider is doing, I achieved even more slamming sub-bass and improved overall sound quality by scooping the first 2 sliders (put them 50% below 0) and then adjust the rest (mids and treble) below 0 to taste. Volume level is more than sufficient forme, even with the EQ scooping the volume is largely unaffected. I think some of my other BT headphones do get louder, so maybe it's worth noting. Comfort is top notch. The earpads are a "fabric" type but they are very smooth so don't cause me any irritation. the overall light weight means the barebones headband also does not cause any issues and does it's job just as well as any other headphones. Obviously battery-life is on the shorter side at around 20 hours of bluetooth listening to music, but I think it's good enough for the price and it charges quickly (I measured about 1 hour 45 mins full charge out of the box). I tend to charge my stuff once it hits 50% so that means it takes me only 1 hour to charge it to full. So far I only have to charge it once a week. Sorry for the long review but I think it was necessary to point out the details. Overall opinion is 5/5. Would I pay the full $180? probably no. but at the reduced price it definitely went beyond my expectations. I can recommend these as great sounding budget bluetooth headphones with one caution. Are you the type to just throw your headphones on the bed/couch after you are done listening? do you think you might leave them around for someone to accidentally sit on them? do you strongly pull the headphones far apart every time you put them on your head? well then you might want to look at a more toughly made pair of headphones.

Headphones for work and play!
28 October 2022

I am really impressed by these headphones. I have owned many pairs of headsets and headphones, and these are truly some of the first that I can see being as appropriate in work setting as for everyday general use like listening to music and enjoying multimedia. The unboxing and initial connection of this headset was seamless with both my gaming PC and my iPhone. Logitech headphones and headsets in my experience are almost always easy as pie to set up and this Zone Vibe 100 is a picnic to setup via Bluetooth connection. The unboxing process was most satisfactory as well: it seems that Logitech as with some other companies is really trying to be greener and go for more cardboard and paper based packing materials rather than plastics. The unboxing process was most satisfactory as well: it seems that Logitech as with some other companies is really trying to be greener and go for more cardboard and paper based packing materials rather than plastics. I am pleased that this packaging seems probably 95-99% recyclable. Call me weird, but I notice stuff like that with the amount of electronics I review. The appearance is one reason why I feel these fit into both the business and everyday use categories: I think the mellow grey woven fabric exterior of the headband is not only really comfortable, but it is also very unassuming and would pass the scrutiny of most any office environment that I can think of. Lending itself to that office or home office environment if you have kids or noisy pets around, this noise-canceling mike is excellent. I was using a hand vacuum while talking to my wife as an experiment and she could only pick out a mellow hum in the background of my speech rather than the full-on high-pitched squeal of the small vacuum. On the same note of the mic, it folds up and tucks away in a more discrete way than I have experience on any of my previous Logitech headsets or headphones. Once again, using my wife as the test subject, she was greatly surprised when I first showed her the headset and then folded the microphone boom out of its discrete, tucked away location. All in all, high points for its professional appearance and overall quality of build! The sound is honesty the extremely tasty and unexpected icing on this cake of a headset. The audio is extremely well balanced out of the box, catering to bass lovers with some decent hits in the low range passes with the 40mm drivers all while keeping the mids and the trebles present as well. A line of description on the box advertises this as having immersive audio and I would say that it most certainly lives up to that description. Anyone who buys this should listen to “Bass Head” by Bassnectar and be prepared to be decently impressed at the fidelity of the audio for a headset of the price! Sure, it isn’t going to hit the really low frequency bass notes, but in the range that it captures audio it sounds absolutely fantastic. The controls are also really easy to use on the headset for play, pause, skip, volume adjustment, etc.Altogether, Logitech has created a winner with this pair of headphones. If you are in the market for a headset that is as suitable in a professional, work environment as it is on the bus or back at home listening to some jams, this headset is definitely one to consider! Thanks for reading and hope this review helps you make your purchasing decision!

Light Weight Comfort

I fell in love with the Zone Vibe 100 right out of the box. The design is sleek and they are incredibly light weight which adds to their impressive comfort. The earcups fit snugly with minimal pressure against the head and the headband manages to almost vanish thanks to the light frame which is covered by stretchy fabric. Personally, I love how the earcups smoothly slide into place over the ears as though they are being stretched into a perfectly custom fit. The foam is nothing particularly special as there is no cooling gel or fake leather - But, they manage to be quite breathable and don't retain too much heat. The downside to the light weight foam is that they don't muffle much ambient noise. The downside to the light weight foam is that they don't muffle much ambient noise. There is no active noise cancelation, so those who want a quiet fit may not appreciate the rather open feel of the headset. The microphone is sleek, but is easy to locate. When folded down, a pleasant voice softly announces "Mute Off" and when folded away into the hearcup, "Mute On" is verbalized. Typically I ignore companion apps, but I very much appreciate that the Logi Tune app allows me to select the volume of my own voice that is fed back into the speakers. Talking on the phone (whether connected to my cellphone, or a Zoom meeting) works incredibly well - and being able to hear some of my own voice makes me feel as though I am having a normal conversation and not isolated or muffled. The Zone Vibe 100 has just the right amount of physical buttons with perfect tactile feel - they are easy to find and easy to use. The battery life is excellent and thankfully they charge via USB-C (so I can finally ditch my outdated Micro USB cables). I absolutely love that they connect to both my laptop and my cell phone at the same time. I can listen to music, or podcasts and still seamlessly answer phone calls. I have found myself actually going out of my way to use this headset to make phone calls as it sounds so much better than speaker phone. I can have my hands free to type or write notes and can easily mute by simply flipping the mic upwards. Truly fantastic for multi-tasking.I absolutely recommend the Zone Vibe 100 for combining work with a bit of play. Logitech even includes a bag for travel. The only reason that I rated them a 4 out of 5 is because they feel as though they are made out of extremely cheap materials. They do a good job of hiding the cheap materials and presenting a stylish and light weight headset, but they are 100% plastic. I honestly worry that they could completely snap in half if they are twisted, crunched, or accidentally sat upon. I also wonder how long the elastic nylon headband cover will last - it could get snagged pretty easily and it would be incredibly difficult to clean if they get sweaty. But, overall good sound, great comfort, wonderful convenience at a very reasonable price.

When it comes to headphones there are a few things I find are a must and that is sound quality, appearance, easy of use, and comfort. Logitech Zone Vibe 100 check all of these boxes and only really have one negative thing I noticed. When it comes to sounds these things are amazing, when watching movies or listening to music you hear all of the subtle details such as a the crunching of leafs or the small tap playing in the back ground of a song. These headphones have a on/off button which you move past the one stage and puts them into pairing mode. Simple, easy and absolute necessary. The absolute best thing about these headphones is the comfort, I date you to go and find a set of headphones as light as these. Now although they are light they have a very nice build to them, even the slide mechanism on the headphones feels premium. The ear cups has a generous area for your ears and there is no pressure applied by the ear cups so you can wear them for an extend period of time. Overall the comfort is second to none, even the head strap to these has no pressure when wearing them and you don’t have to worry about them falling off. There are a few other nice touches such as changing of the batteries should they ever go bad, speaking of the battery life I was losing 7% every hour and 15 mins at 75% volume. I can appreciate the headphones using USB C for charging since that is what everyone is using. Logitech also provides a decent app for the headphones which allows you to see who is connected to the device and other stats such as battery life and equalizer settings and using the hidden mic to mute/unmute phone call/game chats. The only real issue I had with these was when connected to 2 devices (phone and tablet) they would transition perfectly from tablet to take a call , however once the call ended the music/movie playing on the tablet would not restart. I feel this is something that can be addressed via a software update so it shouldn’t be too difficult to correct.Besides the little issue I cannot get over how comfortable and light these headphones are and if you happen to be at your local bestbuy I would highly advise you try them on.

Microphone folds down from the earmuffs and it automatically unmutes when you want to take a call or speak in a meeting. When the microphone is pushed back to the earmuffs it mutes and you will hear mute off in the headset. Great for online work meetings where you don’t need to search for little buttons to mute yourself on and off and provides clean look. This headset uses beamforming technology and digital signal processing (DSP) and the noise canceling eliminates background sound. Don’t expect full noise cancelling with this but it does a decent job of noise cancellation. Battery life is advertised at 18 hours for talk time and 20 hours of listening time and works as expected. The earmuffs/cushions are of memory foam with adjustable headband and is large and can completely wrap the ears comfortably (great as noise isolation). Its internal filling is a plush memory foam, which is very soft and has no obvious pressure, which brings good sound insulation. The microphone is located on the left earphone unit and is retractable.
