Best Smart-TV w/Latest Display Tech for the Price!

I got this TV a month ago. Very happy w/the purchase. The 4K display is sharp and clear with the mini LED. Coming from an older generation TV, I love the advanced connections that come with the TV, from 4K HDMI 2.1 to HDMI eArc, which greatly simplies the rat nest of wires I usually have behind the TV. Speaking of which, LG put much thoughts into wire management to accommodate all the wires coming to and from the TV, cables such as power, coaxial, USB, optical audio, and a couple of HDMI cables. I only wish the smart features would include the ability to add more media apps, such as Google Photo or Amazon Photo. I had to buy a 4K Amazon Fire Stick to see my cloud photos.

I have had this for 3 weeks, The TV is much smarter than my old TV. I can use a phone app to control it. It communicates with my Xbox so when I adjust volume on Xbox it controls the TV. If I use TV remote it can control Xbox. Picture quality with a few setting changes is top notch. Sound is great with built in Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. But back panel of TV rattles a little with loud bass parts. Even though my TV is mounted I installed the feet stand so that it locks the back panel down tighter. But overall TV is so much better than my old 55inch TV.

Great Picture! Spectacular for gaming!

The 75QNED80UQA is by far one of the best TVs I’ve owned. The picture quality is unmatched and similar to my LG OLED. I purchased this for many reasons including gaming on multiple consoles and PC. The 120hz HDMI 2.1 ports make the next gen POP! The audio is superb, and louder than some sound bars I have owned. The navigation at the Home Screen is simple. Assembly was very simple with the included feet. The TV offers different places to mount the feet if you have a larger or smaller tv stand. I have not experienced any trouble or malfunctions with the tv whatsoever and would highly recommend this tv for everyone.

Great picture but a few annoying “features”
25 December 2022

Purchased my Lg 75 inch tv about a month ago. The picture quality is excellent. There are a few annoyances concerning the operation of the tv, however. The remote is clunky and frequently overrides what I am looking for with “recommendations.” I don’t want my tv to choose my programming, much lures interrupt me while I am scrolling through the numerous (and sometimes poorly labeled) menus. I still don’t understand how to turn the cursor off; it is always in the way. If there is a way to default the tv to a particular input when I power the tv on (for example, to default to HDMI-2), I haven’t yet discovered it. All that said, on balance it’s an excellent television and I would recommend it.

High Quality TV for great price
2 December 2022

I recently purchased the LG TV and was surprised at the clarity the QNED display exhibited. The quality in dark areas is also superb with the ability to darken areas and make some lighter it surely brings an immersive experience while watching in a dark room. Furthermore, the audio quality is surreal even without Dolby audio. You’re sure to surround yourself and get lost in the movie or show or video game you’re viewing. This purchase was worth its money. Even though there are better TVs this is a good rival to many high end TVs including the C2 and B2. With its amazing 75” size you can expect to get amazing picture and audio quality.

I really like the picture quality
17 November 2022

I bought this for the picture quality, and that is excellent. I also was focused on an updated hArc connectivity to my sound bar, needed due to hearing issues. I did discover that I could not use the HDMI arc connectivity and the Optical Output at the same time. That is necessary for my connectivity to my hearing aids. I called for support and was told to fill out a VIP form, and sent the link. Although the site says I would receive a response within 24 hours, over a month later there was never a reply. That is my only disappointment with this TV. Otherwise, it is excellent. Considering how often they provide software updates, it would be nice if they could address this issue for those of us who are hearing impaired.

Love the video/audio quality and webOS simplicity
8 January 2023

I bought this TV a month ago and we are enjoying the TV. The user interace with webOS is very simple and I do not need to use any other devices (like Roku etc). Also, since the audio power is higher (40W), I don't need to use other audio amplification for my family room. This makes the whole setup very simple. Streaming from iPhone (using built-in airplay) works flawlessly for various video and audio apps. Costco sells this TV and their crew did a great job with delivery and installation (for a low fee). In summary, we are very happy with this TV purchase so far and given we have 2+3 years of warranty (from Costco), this gives us the peace of mind.

MiniLed = Stunning Display
5 February 2023

LG’s MiniLed technology has produced a display that almost equals an OLED display experience without question. In a bright room like ours, it is superior than OLED in my opinion. At 75” with the shades down, you literally have your own private movie theater with this technology. OLED may produce a marginally better image but you will be paying a disproportionately and a painfully higher price for a small increase in quality – and only in a room that is not bright. 8k TV’s are next level, though at present you simply can’t take advantage of this technology, as content sources few and far between. LG QNED operating system is intuitive. The remote control does not match the technology of the television though. It also has a higher learning curve. As a remote control is also the venue in which you will interact most directly with the television, I gave it four stars. Other than that this is a fabulous purchase.

Pretty good tv. Let down by bad local dimming
25 August 2022

Got this tv about 2 months ago 86”. First impressions were pretty good. Good colours, fast software, everything loads quickly, for the price I really expected better though. The worst part is the local dimming zones. Tv only has (I’m guessing) 20 to 30 local dimming zones plus the full array dimming. So it’s bright yes… hdr content is great. Except…. Every time you get a very dark scene with a bright area on it. You get the local dimming zones lighting up causing a very obvious halo or aura around it. For example looking at a space scene in a movie. Should just be seeing a couple of stars in the distance but you clearly see the rectangles from the backlighting illuminating around the star. Same issue with subtitles. Get a really dark scene and you have halos around ... MoreGot this tv about 2 months ago 86”. First impressions were pretty good. Should just be seeing a couple of stars in the distance but you clearly see the rectangles from the backlighting illuminating around the star. Same issue with subtitles. Get a really dark scene and you have halos around the subtitles. It’s actually really distracting and a big big downside to the tv. Using the mouse on Netflix or Disney plus you see these led dimming zones lighting up visible squares around the curser and next to it. Same with the loading circle on the apps. As the circle is spinning you get the same rectangles lighting up. It’s so Incredibly distracting! I hate it! You don’t see these things when you look at a demo unit. The picture quality looks amazing. It’s only when you sit down and actually use the tv for a few days these things really start to bother you. I emailed lg with my complaints about the full array dimming and never received a reply. Called lg sent them videos of the issue and still didn’t get a reply. I was unable to return the tv. Get the mini led lg tv!!! Don’t make the mistake of buying this one. Spend the few hundred extra and get the hundreds/ thousands of dimming zones not the 20 or 30 this tv has. For a middle range tv. This was really disappointing. It cost me pretty much the advertised price above… so much money it should be flawless. All I can see now are these rectangle dimming zones.

Some people may think why do you need another TV? why do you need a bigger tv? What difference does it make? Well as the great one once said.. IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU THINK!! haha sorry but I’m hear to say it makes ALL the difference. Completely changes movie night with advanced features built into this TV. The screen size for live sports gives you a feeling that makes you want to cheer and applaud as though you were there in person. Happiness like this can only come from a few true joys in your life and this TV is now on that list. Do yourself a favor and upgrade… you deserve it!
