As a photographer, it is really important to see all the details in the photographs that you are editing, and being able to view your images in full resolution on this display make it a great companion. I normally edit on my 16" MBP, and don't get me wrong, the display on that is gorgeous - the colors are true to life and the sharpness is insane. However, by being able to have a larger display to match the same quality without breaking the bank is hard to do.In the box is the monitor, along with an easy to assemble stand (it does have the VESA mount holes if you plan to put it on an arm). In addition to the power supply that connects via a barrel connector, there are two HDMI inputs as well as DisplayPort as well as audio. I do like that it has a matte display so that it does not have reflections, and handles nearby light sources well.In editing my photos on this monitor, I appreciate the high pixel density to be able to judge the photos in terms of sharpness and focus. The color quality is also very good. If I were to nitpick, however, there are only two small additions I wish that it would do - being able to connect/charge via USB-C, and to have a height-adjustable stand, as the included stand only tilts. These are minor, however, as I am sure that LG does make higher end models (that cost more) that include those features (the 27UP80B has USB-C with 90W PD, as an example). For those content creators that are looking for a display that do not want to go the ultrawide route, this 4K 27" monitor is definitely a solid choice. The IPS panel has great contrast, the color reproduction is accurate, and the price as listed is much more affordable than a massive ultrawide that may be more for media consumption rather than creation.

The monitor is quite large, which can be both a positive and a negative depending on your setup. While the size is great for immersive gaming and getting lost in creative projects, it can be a bit cumbersome if you have limited desk space or if you need to move the monitor around frequently.Other than that, I have no major complaints about this monitor. It has excellent image quality, responsive performance, and a wide range of features that make it suitable for both work and play. Overall, I would still highly recommend the LG 27" IPS LED 4K UHD HDR10 Monitor with AMD Freesync to anyone in need of a high-quality display.

I took time to pick out this monitor. My criteria were a 4K resolution (3840x2160 pixels), bright, excellent blacks, and overall high image quality. I did not need the really high refresh rates of a true gaming monitor. This monitor is great at all of my criteria and better than I expected. It really has excellent image quality. The blacks are very deep which is important for my night photography. The monitor is very bright in our computer room. That combination gives really great contrast and dynamic colors. The image quality is as good as my 27 inch Dell Ultrasharp which I have always found to be an excellent monitor too - just twice as expensive and smaller. This model comes with a fixed height stand that has some tilt adjustment. That makes the monitor higher than I am used to and makes it overall seem even larger. The speaker built into the monitor is functional and adequate for a Zoom call but most people would use their external speakers. Some reviewers have noted color variation with different viewing angles. I'm pretty picky but do not notice this as a problem. The display works well for a pretty wide range of angles. I did finally notice some subtle differences from standing above and to the side of the monitor that the colors changed slightly. I don't see this as a problem. Some have also complained about the monitor control buttons on the bottom front edge of the monitor. It was quite functional and allows moving around the menus by tipping the button in different directions. That was easy for me to figure out the one time I needed it. I'm not a gamer so I cannot comment on suitability for that application. Overall, I highly recommend the monitor.

The LG Ultrafine 27UP600 is a great 4K HDR panel that looks sleek on the desk and provides multiple inputs for a couple of different options, including multiple computers, or gaming consoles. This is especially beneficial as it has an amazing color and brightness to it that makes both Macs and Windows based computers shine. I have tested game play through Steam, played with resolution settings through my Mac to find a really nice sweet spot, and have had to turn the brightness down from 100% actually as it gets really bright. The panel comes with a displayport, two HDMI ports, and one headphone/audio out port. The stand for it is simple, not adjustable, but looks minimal and nice on the desk. I have it on a 4 inch riser to get it to a comfortable height for me, not a complicated solution. It’s packed in the box with a displayport to displayport cable, an HDMI cable, and the power cable. It is a barrel style power plug. The refresh frequency is limited to 60 Hz, but being a 4K panel, this isn’t a deal breaker per se, as it is not as taxing on a system, especially when gaming. Overall I would say this IPS panel is a great all around monitor, provides sharp imaging and is not a huge footprint on the desk. It’s not a monster gaming panel, but does provide solid HDR performance, makes things like YouTube, games, and photos pop, and is light for several alternative mounting options. It is VESA compatible also. I would recommend this panel for an everyday experience, for casual gaming, and for a decent photo or video editing experience.
This is such a great minimal gaming monitor. I think the size is a sweet spot to get the extra room for gaming, without having to sacrifice too much space on a desk or table. This really improved my gaming sessions. We primarily game off some nice gaming laptops so a good gaming monitor is a must for longer game sessions. This one was a perfect fit into our setup. I think it gives you the most bang for your buck without looking to much like a gaming monitor.Setup is a breeze; you need to install the stand which just took a few minutes and a screwdriver. Then it’s just connecting the power and video cable. You get everything you need in the box to get going. The HDMI cable that comes in the box also works great, we used it for a while with that, just to test it out and it did the job.Day to day work is great on this, whether it’s typing up a paper, paying bills, web searches, or communicating with others. The real reason we went with this monitor are for the gaming features. We play a variety of games from WoW and Elden Ring to Fortnite and CoD. No matter what we toss at this monitor it all looks great. Colors looks great, image is sharp, and the monitor has a good refresh rate to keep everything moving smoothly. This is a great gaming monitor or general-purpose monitor. Obviously, we chose it for the gaming potential, but I could someone really enjoying this if they just use it for work, consuming content, or working on photos/videos. For gaming, we really enjoy it. It has great performance, looks amazing, and is the right size to not take up too much desk space, but still giving us a great image. This would be an easy recommendation for most setups.
This is one of the best monitors that I have owned. A lot of people will complain that this is not a gaming monitor since it only has a 60hz refresh rate and they are wanting a higher refresh rate like 144hz or 240hz, but I have not had any issues with screen tearing or lag when playing Pub-G or other high graphic intense games. It comes with a HDR effect that basically makes any content into high quality video. The monitor is also compliant with HDCP 2.2 copy protection which affects all 4k streaming services. I was looking for a monitor that would compliement my MacBook Pro 14". I wanted a high quality with excellent resolution and the ability to connect other devices as well such as a PC or Game console. The LG UN550-W 32" monitor is just that I was very surprised with the screen quality and resolution, I did not want to spend a fortune and thought I would compromise on picture but I was surprised to see how well this monitor performs. At 4K resolution and with a PPI of almost 150 the text is crisp and clear the brightness is also surprising as it listed as a 350 NITs but once up and running I need to lower the brightness as it feels more like 500. The stand is also great as its adjustable up ,down and tilt and also supports a VESA mount of 100mmx100mm.In conclusion I used this to replace an older Apple Cinema display 27" and this blows me away at 32" and the color accuracy and multiple inputs and great menu system.I highly recommend it.

I only used this monitor for about 8 weeks cause i left it at my parents house, but in the short time with it, it has been excellent. i have a spyderx colorimeter and after calibration things were really good, i did a display analysis and from memory i think it was like 100% srgb and like 96% dcip3.i still have the contrast at various white point settings:(4700k) - brightness 352.1 - contrast 870:1(6500k) - brightness 412 - contrast 1020:1(9900k) - brightness 368 - contrast 910:16500k is generally the sweet spot, and thats a very respectable contrast and brightness for an ips displayanyway, the screen looks great and it gets nice and bright too. i used this for vfx work, which demands some color accuracy and this is perfectly good for that. hdr works but i ... I really like this monitor. It like that it looks really good and does not feel cheap. The packaging was exceptional and done like a high end monitor. The connections are pretty good and it came with the power cable, an HDMI cable, and a DisplayPort cable which all felt nice, matched the monitor, and performed well. It would have been nice if it had an USB C connector but for the cost this is a great monitor for the price and even better if you can find it on sale. I did need to turn up the brightness initially but only to 50% as it was a bit too dark at default settings. It is only 60Hz but for the price it is hard to expect gaming speeds and it was not sold as a gaming monitor. I would say for productivety apps and most home uses this would be perfect for most ... I would say for productivety apps and most home uses this would be perfect for most homes. It will be just fine for normal gaming as well. It was easy to put together but be sure to know that the monitor does not go up and down. It does tilt and you can use a monitor riser if you need it to be higher. The resolution is great at 4k, but you will likely feel 4k on a 27 inch monitor is a bit too small to look at unless you let windows increase the display size. I also like that the monitor has the standard 100x100 vesa mount ability so you can use a mount if you have one or prefer that. That would also allow you to move the screen up and down more. Unless you are wanting to do high end gaming, I highly recommend this screen for normal daily use.
