I always rely on Demsha Williams for my IT needs. The consummate professional, he advises me on products that best meet my needs as an elder care fiduciary. I travel extensively nationwide and rely on my laptop and related equipment to conduct business. For four years he’s guided my hardware and software purchases - this time a new PC. While pricing is always competitive (never lower elsewhere), his outstanding service compels me to return. I follow and will continue to follow Mr. Williams wherever he’s based. Thank you!

I've used Lenovo computers my whole life, but this one is absolute garbage. Takes a full five minutes to boot up. Horrendous keyboard lag. Type one letter and it takes a full ten seconds for the letter to appear. Slowest computer I have ever used. And all of this before I loaded a single program or app -- it's like this right out of the box. I deleted all the bloatware, even reloaded Windows. I even returned one unit thinking it was just a lemon, and my new unit does exactly the same thing. It took me a solid ten minutes just to write this review on it, and finally had to switch to another computer because I was only halfway done. Shame on you Lenovo, you have wasted my time and money for the last time.

I purchased this laptop for my father. The larger screen is perfect for him since he can't see as well as he once could. The resolution and refresh rate are great for what he is using the laptop for. It is actually more robust than he needs since all he does is use it for email and looking at a few other websites. The reality is a tablet would have been ideal for him, but with him changes is never good. He still likes his paper copies to put into his filing cabinet. LOL! He thought he'd want an external keyboard that had raised keys so he could feel his fingers clicking as he typed, but he has gotten used to the flatter keys. The reality is flatter keys are more ergonomic than the raised keys. You don't want your fingers doing as much work to push down the keys. ... MoreI purchased this laptop for my father. Overall a solid device that will not compromise any performance he requires. Even if he streams one of the grandchildren's activities, he should have no lag issues. Highly recommend for those not needing a workhorse to perform complex activities such as gaming.

A year ago I bought an IdeaPad 3 (11th gen. i5, 8GB, 256 SSD). I had a short-term need for a computer and the low price way key. It quickly became my primary workstation due to a great keyboard and touch-pad. The screen isn't as bright as some, but in normal environments is fine. It has been flawless, and does what I need it to. When my backup computer died I picked up the current generation IdeaPad 3i (12 gen i5, 8GB, 256 SSD) and again added 16GB RAM. The new one has 8 GB soldered with an open slot so I now have a 24GB 10 CPU core workstation for a bargain price - the sale prices are key. Between my two IdeaPads I can run a lot of VMs simultaneously for dev. work. The ability to upgrade RAM is not common in value-line laptops now. Between my two IdeaPads I can run a lot of VMs simultaneously for dev. work. The ability to upgrade RAM is not common in value-line laptops now. It is not the lightest computer, but is not heavy. Build quality is good but not cheep - the plastics are resiliant and the hinge is very solid. Battery life isn't great if you push it hard - but that is true on most laptops. I appreciate the no-frills design that just works and gets my work done.
Above what I need however the ones with the less cost the same so may as well get the best for the price. Keys sound and feel smooth and stand out nicely for my old eyes, no crazy bright coloured backlights, just the right amount of needed light. A good amount of keys, I'm not too fond of small keyboards. Not too heavy, although I use it mainly as a desktop, I don't take it anywhere a lot. The screen is a perfect size, not too big or small. I use the HDMI and 2 USB ports. Connects to the Bluetooth speaker nicely.
This is not my first Lenovo machine. It is a good machine, considering it is a Windows machine, and ALL Windows machines are terrible, because Windows is terrible. Windows should have been put out of our misery years ago. It is nothing but a virus that destroys its host computers. If the big and influential corporations weren't such tail-sniffers, and were able to think and act independently, competing OS's would have beaten Windows out long ago.
Bought this computer for running Quickbooks, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere among other work I do. Can't complain, it runs everything very well even on a second screen. Not a fan of the new Windows 11 layout. It seems more restrictive, but that's not a fault of this computer. I like the manual camera shut off switch. Replaces my old piece of tape well! The monitor is nice and large, it's lightweight, and very quiet. Of all the pros, the keyboard is quite awkward with its layout. There is a lot of extra space on the edge of the computer that the keyboard could have been expanded into. I keep hitting the wrong buttons with my right hand because everything is so close together. With such a large computer, why not make the keyboard larger? It's too small for this ... MoreBought this computer for running Quickbooks, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere among other work I do. It's too small for this unit and very frustrating to use! Now I have to take up more space on my desk for a separate keyboard if I'm typing a long document! If you have small hands, this is the computer for you.
This laptop would be so much better with a different screen. The display on this laptop is not good at all. Aside from the display the specs and performance of laptop are great and a very good value with ability to easily upgrade RAM and/or SSD to future proof it. Overall satisfied but don't see myself using it as a primary pc due to the display quality. I suppose I could just use an external monitor but that defeats the purpose of it being a laptop to some degree.
I'm a basic user. This Lenovo replaced a 2017 HP Core i5 laptop that was literally falling (or torquing and cracking) apart at the hinges. Out of the box, the Lenovo was easy to set up--only about 2 hours to charge and download all software updates and transfer files. Since then, it has performed beautifully. It's much faster to start than the old HP (which had a conventional magnetic hard drive), and the battery lasts a solid 4 to 6 hours of my light mixed use (Office apps, email, streaming vids). The battery also holds its charge while in sleep mode, unlike the HP. This thing feels both lightweight and solid; I don't think the hinge will give me any trouble. Maybe not premium, but a very nice, capable laptop for under $500. It probably wouldn't support gaming or ... MoreI'm a basic user. Sorry (not sorry) for the clickbait title. Generally speaking, this is a good machine. There are a few shortcomings that I want future potential buyers to be aware of. I guess it comes as a part of he "military grade build" but carrying this with one hand is a workout for the wrist. Said in simpler words, it is heavy! This is not so much an issue unless you need to take this 17" on a plane. The big one for me is that the keyboard is not backlit. Between a fingerprint reader and backlit keys, personally backlit keys are far more important. I can't imagine anyone thinking that a fingerprint reader is more important than backlit keys. And yet, we have this machine. I take blame for assuming that the keyboard would be backlit but am still baffled by the decision made by ... MoreSorry (not sorry) for the clickbait title.
