To start, the build is fantastic and super fun. Reminded me a lot of Star Wars Rebels a show I grew up watching. Also I really think the outer haul is the best looking play scale star wars ship to date from Lego. However, the minifigs were rather lackluster. From a quantity perspective, I think a $160 set should included more figures. And didn't have much appeal outside of Hera and Chopper. I would have liked to see other characters from the Ashoka show that were more important. That's not the say the minifigs were bad, I just didn't feel they were important to the set or show.

The ship itself and the build is amazing. And the minifigs are quite fun. Tho Jaycen's hair is the wrong color and I don't quite care for him and the other two. Chopper and Hera look amazing tho and the fact all figures can man the Ghost and Phantom make the selection very nice. The definitive sour note is the stickers. While I do not mind stickers usually and have grown to be pretty adept at applying them, these were majority clearbacks (which was not always needed) and felt terrible to apply. Especially the sticker on the canopy left a sour taste in my mouth as it darkens, and its right above the amazingly printed piece, making it kinda stand out. Especially the ones you gotta put inside L shaped pieces, making so quite difficult. All in all, the set looks great once done and I like the play features and room inside. They used space well and it looks worth your money, with the only downside being stickers that are clearbacked, rather than with a more (in my opinion) practical solid background.

I'll try not to bore you with everything the other reviewers have stated, however I will give my honest review of the set. 1st we have the price which is pretty good for what you get so good job LEGO. Next all the people wanting a port for chopper...at this scale which is around micro figure scale it would look ridiculous! Chopper in this scale is about the size of a stud so just use a 1x1 round plate and be done with it. Speaking of scale I guess this is play scale but that being said the connection points for those fabulous angles on the ship are terrible and not strong enough to really "play" with the ship. Depending on how you pick it up (thinking like a child would) the panels sometimes pop free as they aren't connected with any REAL strength in mind, just the ... MoreI'll try not to bore you with everything the other reviewers have stated, however I will give my honest review of the set. 1st we have the price which is pretty good for what you get so good job LEGO. Depending on how you pick it up (thinking like a child would) the panels sometimes pop free as they aren't connected with any REAL strength in mind, just the simplest way to achieve the desired goal. This being said I rate swooshability at about a 3-4 out of 10. There are a few gaps that could have easily been filled in like the one just behind the cockpit. Also looking from behind there are 2 huge holes running up the side of the ship that need addressing. While we're at the back, the engines are spectacular! The frosted blue does add that pop the old trans blue didn't have and the design of the engines overall is a win! There's some really good interior detail as well. I personally love the sink. But...the cockpit leaves a lot to be desired! The designers definitely spent more time making the top look good and clearly the incomplete, inaccurate, awful looking underside proves this. Instead of those missile launchers we should have had a ramp under the nose not under the side hatches. I get the play aspect and it is a neat feature but it could have been done better. The landing gear are a joke and look more like pedestals used for building the model than actual landing gear. In addition to all the problems with the build of the ship this set has about the lamest selection of minifigures of the 3 Ahsoka sets. Not to mention the lack of green hair...that was pure laziness on the part of LEGO. For a licensed minifigure I don't know how you can get by making something so inaccurate. That's the good and bad of this set. Basically it's not bad for the $ if you enjoy fixing the designer's mess ups and want a good project to turn into a semi accurate display piece. I'd buy it. I DID buy it! Not 100% happy with it but not too upset with it either as I like the challenge of fixing sets.

I'm very happy with the build and how it turned out. The play features are awesome and and the minifigs look great too. The interior is spacious and the colors are a great change of pace from Star Wars gray. I can highly recommend this set to any Star Wars Rebels fans. Now on to QC...Unfortunately QC issues are still present, even in a $160 Lego setAnd before you say, "oh well just contact costumer service". The problem isn't that they won't replace parts. Lego customer service is top notch. And price it's products as a premium, top of the line toy.A couple of the smaller 1x1 pieces, had large burs and the 1x1 with clip pieces aren't even square. One of the stickers is missprinted, with a gray line across it.Most of the light gray pieces have lots of swirling in them, not a huge deal but seriously Lego. I've seen knock offs that look better. And finally, the 3 large plates that makeup the interior of the Ghost all have major swirling. I don't want to be looking at swirled defective pieces, especially on the interior of the build. Unacceptable in a set at this price point.Maybe I got unlucky, but in about half of my recent lego purchases, i have needed to contact Lego customer service. When I shouldn't have to do that.If Lego really is the leading brand in the building block toys, and continues to price it's sets at premium prices. Then I have the right to expect nothing less than perfection. And unfortunately, what I got here was not perfection.Down vote me if you'd like, but this review is meant to urge Lego to improve in the future, and I hope they do. I purchased this set off the shelves at an official Lego store. Meaning this could be a potential indicator of the quality you might recieve with your next purchase of Lego
Straight away I have to come clean: I never watched Rebels and, because of that, I had a hard time watching Ashoka. Now that my sins have been revealed, I can talk about this set. Aesthetically, this set is fantastic. The bright white with the pops of primary colors are a great break from the mostly grey Star Wars catalogue (which is 90% of my collection). The shape is also extremely different, and the build techniques to achieve that shape are fun and interesting. The mini figure count is great. The diversity in figure molds is a rare treat! A human, a smaller human, a Twi’lek, a Mon Calamari, and a droid. Not going to lie, besides Chopper (who I hear is a war criminal), I’m not familiar with any of these characters, but I’m happy to have some cool figs. The price point vs the piece/ mini figure count is fair. I was lucky enough to grab this during the May the 4th promotion, so it was $20 cheaper, but I will say, I would have been happy to buy this set at the full sticker price (the $20 in my pocket is pretty great though). This set will definitely display well, and if you’re buying it for a kid, the play features seem fun. I can confidently say that this would be a great set if you are a fan of the show, a fan of Star Wars, or just a fan of spaceships in general. 10/10 for me.
Just finished building The Ghost and Phantom II. This is truly a great set, with great detail and play features. The build is excellent and many new techniques to add detailing and play features. The interior is a bonus and we all appreciate the sink – a first in Star Wars set I believe. The Mini-figs are good, and Hera is especially a stand-out with great lekku printing and back printing. The Chopper figure is both better and worse – while we appreciate the back printing, the lack of the side printing on the head means his “arms” are not there. This set has some set-backs though, mostly the colour issues. The biggest gaff is Jacen’s hair which is green in the show, but brown here. Perhaps Lego did not get the full picture here. I had to give the set an overall rating of 4 for these issues but overall these do not detract from a great model. Recommended!
It's neat to finally be getting a ghost again, but it's certainly not worth £150. Compared to something like the razor crest from 2020, I cannot see this warranting an extra £30 for a slightly worse build, and a significantly more flawed minifigure selection. But that's just one comparison. Another issue I have with this set, is the stickers. Not only are the majority of the stickers see through, which is a pain, but there are also loads. The ship is a lil inaccurate with the bottom loading area gone, and the lack of a turning turret, but it didn't really effect my experience. It is a lovely build, but it suffers severely from pricing and those awful stickers. I'll give it 4 stars because once you have it on display, neither the stickers or the price really effect ... MoreIt's neat to finally be getting a ghost again, but it's certainly not worth £150. A very fun build from start to finish, with great details including a furnished interior. Overall highly recommend. There's a neat play feature where the spring-loaded shooters are fired by turning the front turret left or right, or by pushing on a technic beam on the bottom. There are a few flaws with it I would note, but nothing major:A few parts are a bit fragile, like the docking ports, engines, and the wings of the Phantom. They stay attached, but when handling it you do need to be mindful. A few of the angled panels can wiggle a bit, although the main ones are pretty solidly fixed. There are well over a dozen stickers. While some are necessary (like the warning signs in aurabesh or the symbols on the phantom), most of the stickers are grey panels and vents which could have been represented with tiles and plates instead. The underside is quite undetailed, with some noticable gaps and structural elements that become visible if you "swoosh" the model around. The furnished interior is neat but doesn't match any of the more iconic areas of the ship. It would have been nice to have some details like a set of bunks or one of Sabine's paintings. All in all I think it's a great set if you're a Rebels fan. I've always been fond of the Ghost's design, and this set did not disappoint!
Don't get me wrong, I like this set and I'm happy to have it. I just expected more than it delivered. I do think that the ships themselves are solid upgrades from their previous versions. The ghost has better/more accurate shaping, the phantom II is about as good as you could ask for in this scale, and I think the two are proportioned appropriately. I appreciate that it uses a bit more color, and I can live with trading the rotating turret for more interior space. It is a little too reliant on stickers for many finer details, but there's no excuse not to print both canopy pieces here. In a $160 set in late 2023 those need to be printed. Minifigures here are kinda mid. Hera is amazing. I dig Chopper but seeing the body and legs not match feels weird. Jacen has green hair, and had it in rebels too...so I'm not sure how the brown hairpiece managed to squeak by. Plus I really couldn't care less about Beyta or Hawkins so they feel just like wasted slots here to me. Oh and when I sat down to build mine the weekend it went on sale there were no digital instructions available, so that was fun. All that said, I'd give this like 7.5-8/10. PS please make a UCS Ghost+Phantom II in the future.
Great set for display purposes, but the underside of the ship was really flubbed. No front loading ramp at all and the cargo bay as well is nonexistent. For $200 it really should include the full profile of the ship and not be smaller than a $200 Millennium Falcon. That said, the cockpit and turrets are fairly spacious, I just wish the rotating bubble turret technique from the first Ghost was reused this time around. I can't understand why the side bay doors were added when they arent big enough for a figure to pass through anyways, and theres no interior bay access to the Phantom. It would have been nice to have the Phantom sit in between the engines as the thrusters are supposed to line up with the front "teeth" of the Ghost, and not be offset like they are. ... MoreGreat set for display purposes, but the underside of the ship was really flubbed. Ultimately nothing some personal upgrading cant fix, but with the steep price tag it would have been much nicer to have the ship more accurate to its on-screen depictions!
