I really like the series and it took me awhile to find the ones I was looking for1. Is the Bakery Chef I really like her new cooking outfit and the new chef hat with the hair piece and I like her whisk and the pie with the printed strawberries on it.2. The Corn Cob guy is my favorite and he looks very funny wearing the suit and I like his mustache.3.The Hot Dog Guy I like he has a tray with a hotdog and bun and he also has a milkshake I like his uniform and think people will get multiples for a resturant.4.The Fairy Girl is very cute and I like her wings on the back which look like a butterfly and I just like all her bright colors.5.The Yuppie is a cool figure is another cool figure I like plus I like his cellphone from I think the 80's or 70's I really ... I'm a Lego collector and the Lego minifigures series' are a big part of my collection. I was unaware that Hobbycraft actually sold them and when I found out I was very excited as I also have my student discount available with Unidays. The store in which I made my purchase only had one box of the minifigures displayed at the front of the store at the checkouts. I asked the member of staff at the checkout if I could take the box to the back of the store, where there's a table, so I could search through the minifigures to get the ones I wanted. I was very happy with the condition of the product as they usually become very mangled in other stores. Luckily, this was not the case. On May 1st 2017, I went to Toys R Us and found them. I was so excited about the series that I called the day before and asked if they would have them the next day. I was full of joy when they said that they would have them. It took me about an hour to feel every single one in the series. Yes, I did find the Mystery Figure. Now I don't fully understand why LEGO made the Highwayman a mystery figure but on the other hand it is my favorite figure in the series. The only figure that I don't care for is the Surfer Dude and I will tell you why. LEGO has already made a Surfer Dude in the past and I don't like when LEGO repeats minifigures in Minifigures series. Anyway, that is all. I think LEGO did a terrific job with Series 17. If you are thinking of buying these I give ... MoreOn May 1st 2017, I went to Toys R Us and found them. I suspect this figure is underrated due to few young people being familiar with Flash Gordon. This figure is reminiscent of the bad guy soldiers from those series. It's essentially an army figure of sorts, and thus worth picking up at least a few (5 or more) for a cohort of guards for a prospective Lego space emperor at his palace. So far I've collected 39, to prevent any Lego heroes from foiling the Emperor's plans!
I recently purchased 16 minifigures from the website hoping to get 12 or 13 of the set. I was disappointed in only 9 out of 16. I expected a few doubles, but I did not expect triplets of the Yuppie and Butterfly girl. I knew I was taking a risk, but that was a bit harsh. I wish I could have bought them from the closest Lego store, but since it was a week after the series came out, they were all sold out.The problem I have now is that I would like to complete my set and I do not know if buying another 10 and taking a second risk would be worth it.The product series is still solid and movie breaks or special series are good breaks from the regular series. There are still many more occupations and other costume options out there, so I hope the series continues for ... My. Grandson was extremely excited. He loves the surprise in opening new lego packages. To see whats inside. If. You have more. Message me. Thanks. Ok. Im just a grandma. Giving her grandson a smile since he can't go to school or birthday parties or do other fun. Stuff now a days.....
The minifigures are very detailed and come with many accessories, which is welcome; especially as this has improved over the years. Like normal, naturally only some figures appeal to certain people, for me, I only bought my favourite six. Lego seems to be recycling old minifigures more often which is disappointing, eg. Surfer. More irritatingly, I feel some of them are becoming too wacky, exercise girl, and very niche, corn suit guy-this is one of the main issues as Lego runs out of ideas. I, and many others, feel the 'mystery figure' is completely unnecessary; the highway man is one of the more mediocre ones. I think inevitably unless Lego changes something up soon these series will die out. Please do something special like a series dedicated to the best figure of ... Moreover, the recent price increaseS, in the U.K., are unnecessary and mean it's very poor value for money.
I got the veterinarian and the hot dog man and I'm happy with my purchase. I do wish they left the leg printing off the veterinarian because it would make her more useful, and it's hard to find plain aqua legs, if they even exist. I'm considering buying more of these because there are a few really good figures in this series. I will say that more than half of these minifigures are pretty bland though.I have one complaint about these collectible minifigures: they are too loose right out of the bag. Their arms and legs move a little too easily for new minifigures. Some are looser than others, probably because of people feeling around in the bags, but none of them are as tight as I would like like they are in boxed sets.Anyway, these series sure suck a lot of money ... First of all, it will harsh...I remember, when the first series appeared. They were around 1$-1.5$/bag (cca 300-350 hungarian forint). The current serie that was bought in Müller (their stock partly comes from Germany) cost 1390ft. Almost 5$/bag, higher than the list price.Outrageous.Of course, the figures are pretty and there is a huge fanbase around it, but buying a lucky bag for that much of money is simply a terrible value. I could have accept some price increase, but this from the previous version - based on lego.shop prices - was 25-30%. 890->1290Ft (3,1$->4,5$)I was a fan of CM minifigures through the years, but it ends now. It simply does not worth that much money. Bought seven figures, almost paid 35$ for it. Almost as much as for a medium set full ... Don't do this with your fans...In the other hand, I am glad, that it's possible to gather dwars, elves again, some city people as well, and the cute little bulldog is the best in the serie, but you can bet, that the majority will wait for a great discount to buy these figs.
Bad minifigs in the series (My opinion)1. Butterfly Girl (Just dont like it)2. Battle Dwarf (its okay i guess)3. Weighlifter (Nothing new from the last few)Okay Minifigs in the series (My opinion)1. Corncob guy (Not much stuff to say)2. Elf Fighter (A bit bland)3. Space man (Okay)4. Dance instructor (Too similar to series 5)5. Connesiour (Cool dog but pretty similar compared to mime)6. Roman fighter (A step down from the last one)7. Highwayman (So much hype for an average minifigure)The Excellent Minifigs (My opinion)1. Hot dog guy (Really good accessories)2.
