This set is fantastic, my 9 year old son is a massive Minecraft and Lego fan. He has enjoyed using the instructions to building the 2 different building, but then he also enjoys breaking them up and rebuild something of his own creation to go along side the Minecraft mountain and other sets he has. Very much worth the money.

I haven't ordered anything from Walmart.com for some time, because of the poor job the handlers do in shipping items that are considered "collectibles". However, I took a chance again, and ordered a couple of items. I totally expected damage to them, and I didn't get let down. I will be returning one of the items, due to the box damage. The other I will have to keep, as I can't find another retailer that has it. The outer boxes are never damaged, so obviously, they are shipped this way. PLEASE train your handlers to not ship damaged boxes when it could be a collector's item. It is way beyond frustrating!!! I hope that some human being actually reads these, but highly doubt it.

This is a generally entertaining set, and one of the few in the Minecraft line offering similar rebuild-versatility to the Creator 3-in-1 line. While I enjoyed the two builds, they were pretty modular and lacking in anything even slightly advanced, even by Minecraft set standards.Honestly the minifigures are a disappointment; yet another pair of Alex and Steve, no alternate expressions, barely any armor, no "unique" tools or weapons. A basic skeleton, Creeper, and pig to round things out. It's the equivalent of stale white bread, un-buttered.If LEGO had offered the other builds pictures in the instructions—or more importantly, rather prominently displayed on the box and adverts—as alternate builds then this would've been a much improved ... Or wait for a sale.

Set was missing Heads to the minifigures. Quality control must really be lacking. ive never had pieces missing grom a brand new lego set.
I know part of this falls on me, but I misunderstood the 2-in-1 lego set to mean there were enough legos to build BOTH designs at once. However, you have to take one set apart to build the other. I can be a warning for others; if you are interested in a larger set, don't buy this one. You will be disappointed. I did at least appreciate that it came with multiple minecraft minifigures. Fun little set but not worth more than $40.
While I have loved the LEGO minecraft line, this one misses the mark. The build is fun, the characters are okay, but the price is so high. Previous crafting boxes have similar piece counts but prices more around 60-70 dollars. Also there is the creeper mine which has almost 300 more peices for the same price. If I was a parent I'd get that set instead of this one!
Good, but not as creative as I was hoping. My son (8yo) plays with it, but not loads, and not, well, very creatively. He just follows the instructions and builds it. He gets much more play (and value) from other lego sets, like Avengers or Ninjago.
I bought this set for my little boys birthday as he is mad in Minecraft and Lego. He has had so much fun with it, building different scenes for his minifigures to explore, is just like Minecraft, they can go through mining stuff and then building new things. It’s nice that he didn’t feel tied to the instructions with this set and was happy to do his own thing. Recommended.
Absolutely love it! I’m a huge fan of legos and Minecraft so I started to to do lego Minecraft. Got this and built it and love it. Decent size and easy instructions. My tip for someone is to get lego instructions app on the App Store or google play. Then you have a 5 in 1. Will definitely buy another set and build the house version.
I purchased this set for my son. Despite having a relatively low brick count, the set takes up a respectable amount of table space. The high tower and house add to the illusion that this set has some heft to it. It is well designed and gives lots of room to play in. Other minecraft sets can easily be attached around the perimeter, making it feel like you are truly world building.
