LEGO 60302 City Standard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion. ] My son loves animals so this was a big hit with him. A great set for building together. We loved that once built you can continue to use for imaginative play and can change things around slightly to tell a different story. The instructions were clear and easy to understand, although on occasional my son did need a little bit of help. We love the little extra touches like bananas for the monkeys and the crocodile eggs, they are very cute and little details like this add to the fun. My son also loves putting stickers on the lego himself. I would recommend this for boys and girls from around 6 to 15 years.

They were all different with some animals, vehicles, buildings, scenery etc. The falling tree was clever and my son liked that the best. I could tell he had fun building and his younger sister got involved as well. It was a good activity to pass the time and to share with the family. The theme was fun, with lots of adventures and using the imagination. I had the set sitting around a few days and my son was so excited to start building and it gave him hours of enjoyment. I would recommend this set to any young boys or girls and I think it would make a great gift for siblings to share.

My 8 yr old son had a great time building the easier sections of the vehicle. There were some confusing sections where there was a picture and no step by step instructions, like the pond joining other sections. My son loved the track wheels of the vehicle and the helicopter wench that worked. He didn't engage in imaginary play straight away. My 2 year old was upset that there were only 2 elephants, a mummy and baby, no daddy. We have a room dedicated to Lego and were so excited as this set had so many components and parts we have not seen before - especially the animals. The set up and instructions were easy to follow for my 7year old. Once set up, we had hours of imaginative play with the set. The cheeky monkeys caused havoc, while the elephants meandered through our Lego City. It was so amazing to have a new aspect into our set, one that lead to meaningful conversations about wildlife conservation and protect; real issues that we could discuss with our children in a fun and gentle way. Any animal, rescue or truck loving child will love this set. Their imaginations can run wild when playing from a vet to help heal a monkeys injured arm, being a pilot to lift a falling tree in a chopper or stopping the crocodile from snapping all the bananas away! We received it in the morning and my son helped my younger daughter make it. They spent all morning and afternoon making it according to the instructions. It kept them busy and quiet for ages (the true dream right). As soon as they finished they demolished it and created things from their imaginations. This set appeals to both boys and girls. I love that it’s gender neutral. Not overly pink/“girlie”. I’d recommend this set to everyone and anyone. My daughter who is almost 4yrs old decided she wanted to make it. Brilliant lego set for animal lovers!

This set is quite large. Its a jungle setting with different rescue vehicles and a first aid/ vet tent. It has a good selection of animals. Including parent and baby elephant, monkeys and crocodiles. There is quite alot of theme bits to build too. There is a scene where you can make the tree collapse. You can then use the helicopter to move the tree and bolders.The helicopter is a firm favourite of my sons. The tank vehicle is great too!. He's spent hours playing with this set. With a little imagination the possibilities are endless.The age on this 6+. But to be honest its great for any age animal lover. Its of excellent quality as you would expect with the lego brand.Overall great set. Would highly recommend to everyone!

The Perfect Gift for My Grandson!

This was the perfect Christmas gift for my 5 year old grandson as he loves Lego especially when grandpa wants to play too! It's educational and good for coordination and he's had endless fun with it.Lego is timeless and fires the imagination and this particular one was no exception and a big hit! Recommended.

Way too expensive and sadly a poorly designed set

So the animals are great, no question, but this set at 90 Euro List is way too expensive, I picked it up with 33% discount at my toy shop and think it still is expensive. An adult can build this in an under an hour, a kid will not take much longer. The new plates used instead of baseplates are not well connected, very flimsy construction. The chopper and tracked vehicle are nice, but if this set is reduced by 1/3 just shortly after release you know this price is just way too much. Will probably be on sale for 50% reduced soon. Again, nice animals, but LEGO could and should have taken more time to design a set with it. A baseplate would have been very good here, used to be in most larger LEGO sets. But with the cost cuts what we get is way overpriced.
