LEGO City 60246 Police Station

It was such a long time ago. My grandson is now 14 but I remember it keep him busy for hours. He would sit fir hours on the floor making up stories about his job as a policeman. It taught him not to fear the the police. So for me I can say it was a learning tool as well as for play. And having us interact with him as played was fun.

My son enjoy LEGO city police station. He has so many other legos but he’s been playing by this for weeks now. He’s obsessed about it. O highly recommended it.

My son loved it, took a while to assemble by myself but it is very easy instructions and had layers of parts. You get 4 or 5 characters and several moving trucks or helicopter. It’s a very interactive set with things to use and move and hold.

Broken box

Product came fast, but just wrapped in a plastic wrapper. Lego box was all smashed and broken. 7 year all grandson was disappointed with broken box which he would have saved if intact. Luckily all the content was there.

Cool set

Bought this for my son's 12th birthday, he nagged me for a year and half for it and safe to say it was worth the wait. We put it together recently, there was a couple pieces missing but sorted it out. My son absolutely loves it. He loves breaking open the jail part and loves the police car and the fact the siren works and the little spotlight. Cool features to have. Have one very Happy 12 year old. Probably his favourite lego set

Fun Build - 5 yo and parent approved

The only negative we found is once the building set is completely together; one has to be very careful when moving it to a specific display location. The police set went together very well and easily. I personally love these sets as there are a lot of symmetrical pieces. That made it great to do a part. Then, let the 5 yo do a part. He was able to follow the books for the car and truck on his own with some adult supervision. The buildings required an adult to explain a step or two. We loved doing this together. It gave us the opportunity to have some good conversations about police roles in our communities. Great kit for kids of all ages. We talked a little bit about laws in our country vs laws in other countries. Like, driving on the left in Europe vs the right in ... MoreThe only negative we found is once the building set is completely together; one has to be very careful when moving it to a specific display location. Go Directly To Jail

First things first, lets talk about the Light and Sound Brick that comes with the kit. I absolutely love this feature and I will readily admit that I kept pressing it and setting it off whilst I was building because it made me extraordinarily happy. This set also has a light brick that powers the searchlight mounted on top of the building which I thought was a fun touch. The mechanism for the jail break is really well thought through and I was really excited by it. So much so I even took that piece upstairs to demonstrate to my adult son. Yeah, late middle aged on paper only! The station itself is a modular build that snaps together with technic pins so there is some ability to switch the look up. Also, the look of it really reminds me of our local Police Centre - all blocky and glass fronted. Overall, I really like how it looks.Plenty of mini figures included and not just for your police force but also some bad guys. This gives the set wonderful playability without having to get any additional bits and pieces - although this is Lego so you can never just stop at one set. Best one has to be the bulldog though - he is wonderfully snuffly looking. The build was fun and some different techniques used in different sections. A few stickers but most are quite large and make up the interior decoration of the station and a few on the vehicles.Number Of Pieces: 743Approximate Price Per Piece: £0.12Build Time: 2.25 Hours

If only the building was better.

Not that the building is terrible, but it's not as great as the station from 2017 (or 2014 or 2011). This station is neither as detailed or as big as the previous stations, but it does have some nice features, like the ping pong table on the second floor. I also noticed that the chief's office has a chronological list of the oldest police badges to the newest ones which I find quite interesting. I decided to combine this station with the one from 2017 and it looks great. While the building might not be the greatest the vehicles are pretty awesome. The crook's truck has a lot of space, in the back, for loot and the police truck is neat too (it's nice to have another light and sound brick police vehicle). The police bike is a great addition but it has the same design ... MoreNot that the building is terrible, but it's not as great as the station from 2017 (or 2014 or 2011). The police bike is a great addition but it has the same design as the bikes from 2019. It's also nice that the police have a drone now. I like that all of the mini-figures are unique and that (except for Duke Detain) none of them are copies from other sets. My favorite part about this set is that now the chief looks different from the other officers. Ever since 2012, the chief's outfit was the same as the other officer's but now it's different. Overall, this is a pretty good set. Not the greatest of police stations and a bit overpriced but a good set, nonetheless.

Juniors LEGO kit (4+)

This set is like a juniors set. The builds are so easy and it is for a 3-4yo. Me and my child who is 6 and likes LEGO city would rather play with our own stuff and the older LEGO which is ten times better and when in store half the price for equivalent sets. The action features have been the exact same as the 2014 police station and the only one since to differ from the ones in this set was the sea police station. The build experience is also horrible as it is just a bunch of big pieces. The police car looks nothing like a police car and the build is simple. The get away vehicle is just the same old red pickup truck which is always used in the police station kits.Overall the worst police station by far

Our grandsons love LEGGO and so do I

I still can’t believe how easy it was to purchase to large boxes of LEGGO for our precious grandson for his 4th birthday. We were delighted with the fact we’d could pick up the LEGGO the next day in a totally COVID safe the pick up was. Although I can’t wait to go back to Myers for personal shopping But until then Imwill happily use the click and collect service again and probably it will be the fantastic LEGGO that our grandsons adore playing with
