I think a good number of people were excited about this set, and I do believe they have been vindicated. This is a very good design with an enjoyable build. It is very important that you take your time and make sure you get every step of the build correct, as there are many subtle details in this somewhat complex design. In fact, the building process of this set feels very much how a "real" walker would be made on the assembly lines of KDY or Rothana. I love that! I kick myself for not making little construction scaffolds and having scenes of workers and droids putting this thing together while I was actually building it, I think that would have worked out nice. Features like that are the hallmark of a great design, when it really does feel like the "real" thing. ... MoreI think a good number of people were excited about this set, and I do believe they have been vindicated. This looks like a competent upgrade to the AT-AT, with reinforced legs with cable cutters on the shins, and the MegaSix gun that can easily engage airborne targets (at least in play) All in all, the set checks off all the boxes. It looks great, it's well built with sturdiness and stability, and it plays fantastic! Oh yeah... Mini-Figures are awesome too! The driver is especially cool. If you get this set, you'll probably love it.

This set really captures the look of the New Order walkers at the end of Episode VIII. It was a fun build, though some steps in the instructions could have been made clearer, in particular mounting the side hatches. My main complaints are a couple missing pieces, though luckily none were vital parts, and I could finish building. This is the second larger set from the Last Jedi to have missing pieces. Perhaps there's some improvements to be made in the packaging process. Poe Dameron's X-Wing was missing some as well. Though the replacement section of the site was quite simple to use, and didn't cost me a cent. The main complaint I have is that while this set is generally sturdy, the 'neck' is very loose, and the legs seem a little flimsy too. The Heavy Assult Walker is ultimately a good build with adequate play value with a very mediocre price point. The good: The build is very sturdy- I've seen some reviews criticise the durability of the set and I disagree. The set can actually fall over and retain most of its integrity. I've also seen some complaints that it doesn't stand very well, which I also disagree with it. The walker has issues standing on three legs in certain poses, but I've had absolutely no issues with it standing on four. Speaking of the legs, the set articulates and moves surprisingly well. I also really like the detail on the legs and head, I think those are done very well. And the cannon on the back is really cool- would be kind of neat if it could move side-to-side, but it already ... MoreThe Heavy Assult Walker is ultimately a good build with adequate play value with a very mediocre price point. The good: The build is very sturdy- I've seen some reviews criticise the durability of the set and I disagree. I also really like the detail on the legs and head, I think those are done very well. And the cannon on the back is really cool- would be kind of neat if it could move side-to-side, but it already articulates well enough. The bad: As far as the build goes, I have a couple issues with the lack of interior in the walker. Based on the shape of the body compared to the old at-at(the canon and the tanks on the back), it's difficult to make as much space inside, but I think a better job could have been done to make more room for figures. The interior of the head only fits one driver, which was kind of a bummer as well. The figure choice is kind of puzzling, with 5 figures, 3 of them are Resistance fighters which is odd considering it's a First Order set. Would have liked to seen another stormtrooper instead. So my biggest issue with the set is the ~150 dollar price point. This set is roughly the same dimensions as the 2014 At-At in terms of height, but $40 dollars more. With those 40 dollars, you are getting roughly 200 more pieces and the same amount of figures. This, to me, isn't worth the price jump. I'm sure there are good reasons behind this price point(licensing, etc), but as a consumer, I think it's too much for too little in return. As I mentioned above, I would have liked to have seen more First Order figures and maybe a little Resistance turret build to justify the massive increase in price. Conclusion: I do recommend this set... if you can find it on sale for 20-30 dollars off or to use your VIP points on. It's a really fun, solid build that kids will love to have; it shoots stuff, is durable, and moves really well. It's also a pretty impressive display piece, as it stands over a foot tall and looks pretty movie-accurate.

Great lego walker when building your own first order

It is awesome with the details and the cannon like its very advanced compared to the Imperial walker. The heavy assault first order walker is a good recommendation. The armor looks like it can width stand any spring loaded shooter. It can be settled in a shelf for collectors without any problems with legs. The imperial walkers legs are flimsy that if it was in the shelf any small movement or a bump the walker may fall and break into pieces but with the first order walker it cant fall because the leg joints are strong.

Great to look at...but not for small kids.

I've become somewhat obsessed with Star Wars LEGO of late and the purchase of this set is no exception. It looks great, it was a great build, but like other feedback hey already, it unfortunately is just not something you can have your kids play with. The side panels fall off with the slightest touch; the head opening comes off when opening; and the legs...well they don't come apart but everything on them does. Also if trying to replace the shooter on top without holding the body firm, the legs can't withstand the load and it will simply fall over. My two boys are still having fun with it, but they use it more like a walker that has been shot down and blown up. My nights now include a rebuild as part of my regime. As for making sure everything is put together ... MoreI've become somewhat obsessed with Star Wars LEGO of late and the purchase of this set is no exception. Ok, this was the first Star Wars Lego set I did not enjoy building and try not to touch now.First of all, I bought this set before the second collection of sets were released. So at the time the minifig selection was amazing and unique. A brand new Poe, Rey, Storm Trooper and Walker Pilot. If only I waited a little longer, I would have found these same figures in sets for only a fraction of the price. The legs and skeleton were easy to assemble, are robust and hold together perfectly... however I found this set a challenge to build after the core was built, mainly because pieces all over it kept falling off.I find that numerous exterior parts want to fall off. Even after securing them back on, it doesn't last long.On the upside this set does look amazing in a static position and the turbo gun works excellently.I wouldn't recommend this for the age range suggested as it feel it is too fragile, but for an adult collector this is a great looking display piece.

The minifigures are good, but anyone buying a set that costs this much wouldn't really be doing it for the figures. It towers over they figs just like it should, so let's get into this.Figs; This is the only way to get the new Rey fig, who has a sick new hairpiece. The robe printing is put on nice and it all fits. The new Captain Poe has a new jacket than the one in the Bomber of the same wave. The stormtrooper and resistance trooper are both good for army building, the stormy is the same as TFA one, and the trooper has a new base color for the clothes and new colored helmet. The AT-M6 pilot is a needed addition, all tho I wish it came with that energy axe I've seen on other toys.Build; The build was fun, it took the time with the first three bags to build up the inside so it was sturdy. The next few were for the legs, head, and other detail from the outside. The two back legs are built the exact same, what got a little annoying around the end, just as the outside paneling was the same on both sides, just flipped and with one or two different pieces, but that's how the walker looks, so that's how it goes.Play; It has three different joint areas on each leg, so it can walk. The head has two joints and the sides open for room to put the figs in. I feel like it is a little... small for the inside, but for how strong the build is, I know why that is. It had two spring-loaded shooters under the head, the tails do stick out, so I just keep them out most of the time. I think it is a good, strong build, that kids are going to enjoy.Display; As a 17-year-old, I get Legos for stop-motion and to put on the shelf, and here is my main problem, it does not stay up on three legs. I tried for a good fifteen minutes and the only thing I could come up looks nothing like the movies.4/5 for value for money, because 1,300+ for $150 is eh.4/5 for the value of play, getting to look like it is in a walking motion is hard to do.All in all, I am happy to have picked this up.

With ski speaders and the lot the atm6 also should have a compartment for tons of weapons and another one for two dule first order speadr bikes also a space for snow troopers to sit before battle. If you have watched the movie theirs also a first orderAT AT now my LEGO collection is big enough that I e going to make 2 more I can make a nother 12 but I’ll make 2 more with every thing this ATM6 should of been with every thing that I’ve said but slightly different thear Aldo going to be mostly black like they should be in summery the set neads a lot of work from the LEGO masters at LEGO But all my dislike of the things they look good they are actually a challenge to build wich is a reel treat for me thear ok thear a good set for peap who aren’t to good at LEGO and want to get much better at building LEGO so they don’t ween into is the just go hed first in the deep end of LEGO so to speak. The sets aren’t grate but the not terabull it’s a half decent set but they have to relice a new one in a few years when the next trilogy is out

Well designed and stable
4 September 2017

My main concern before purchasing this kit was the stability of it, a walker is always going to be top heavy and therefore a little unstable but Lego have done well with this AT-M6. I was pleasantly surprised at how stable it actually is! It can take a good knock even with the legs in an action pose.It has a very imposing look and some nice play features, the stud shooter is in my opinion the best of the features with it being easily aimed and fired although a little tricky to reload. The spring loaded shooters are a bit tricky to fire due to their location but are well integrated with the model. The interior has plenty of access panels although space inside is limited but I don’t consider this a big issue as a walker should be all about its exterior fire ... MoreMy main concern before purchasing this kit was the stability of it, a walker is always going to be top heavy and therefore a little unstable but Lego have done well with this AT-M6. However the new version of Rey is obviously a great addition to the kit and the first order walker driver is a very cool figure to add to the collection.
